Yinshen, when a person is alive, usually associate with psychic abilities. But the body has no benefits. The person just age and die, and their abilities wane over time. A person training for neidan should not indulge in these.

@exorcist_1699 介紹的 訪道語錄 就有一例子。 用"不想"作方法。 但他們祖師爺數百弟子,只有3人所謂練成。 十分渺茫。 大家有什麼意見?

Windows 10 does not support handwriting on the touch pad of the notebooks. And it no longer support Cantonese input. Cantonese input is very good as it can accept English e.g if I type Apple, I can choose 蘋果。

Squeeze The Eye For Pineal Gland Activation
Master Logray replied to dawn90's topic in Daoist Discussion
Activating third eye is generally not working on the eyes themselves. Pineal Gland is closer. But have you thought of closing it afterwards? Many people got mad because they cannot close it or open/close it at will.- 18 replies

Mantak chia's possible error mco, i need help, please
Master Logray replied to Capeador1's topic in Daoist Discussion
Wow, Mantak Chia seems to be a hot person, when even Freeform reappears. Is Mantak the most influential or having the most students in the West? I find it strange that he operates from Paris, while Damo Mitchell from Bali. No famous one in the US? -

Your understanding is correct. Buddhist is more likely to concentrate in the upper part. It is probably to facilitate the change in consciousness, which is important in the process of enlightenment. Consciousness is a mind function and is brain related. The theory that the Pineal Gland being the third eye also happens to be in the head region. Taoist's Xing/Ming balance means they have to spend half of the time to take care of the body. The important places of concentration can be quite far from the head like Gushing Spring, which is underneath the feet. The use of this point is partly for reducing the excessive Chi and blood in the head region by diverting them down, useful for anyone older than 50. I have browsed through books of Mantak Chia. It doesn't seem bad to me. In fact some of the materials are good. But you need be know something before spotting them. However it would not be prudent to only follow the books to practise. There are too many intricacies. By the way what is so notorious about him? -

In fact, all techniques which focus in the head region is risky. MCO is only one of them. If we concentrate on a certain body part, say the hand, blood and body fluid go there, they may or may not accompanied with some Chi. These create pressure on the blood vessels. It is why Taoist alchemy normally starts from lower Dantian in the belly region, comparing with Buddhist or Yogi who more often put the concentration in the head region like the crown chakra, third eye, eye brow or top of the head and so on. Many people mistaken that these meditation (or physical exercises) are pure energy work. But this is only a modern interpretation. Traditionally, Chi and blood are always mentioned together, even normal people know. When so much blood flow to the head following self suggestion, visualization or minute muscle movement, we have to be very careful. -

MCO is a bit precarious even with teachers around. -

In internal alchemy, most do not exactly follow the Chinese medicine channels. And very often it is not recommended to follow the acupuncture points one by one. -
If you want to feel Chi, just doing something super slowly, then you can feel something. e.g. wave your hand up may take half a second normally, extending it to 30 seconds and see the difference. But feeling it has no use. Anyway you probably have a problem finding a program so follow @Iskote's method is a good start and even useful long term.

What you mention as an example is life or spiritual progress. Taoist cosmology, religion and philosophy can learn from the Dharma experience. But Taoist medicine and Taoist inner alchemy are not exactly the same. They are more functional and are basically a technique or a tool. Tools and the system behind it don't mix too well with other systems.

Completely agree with what you say. Different Chinese medicine doctors could have vastly different views on the same patient, apply opposing remedies. Nowadays the so-called integration frequently put Chinese medicine as one of the ancillary services like physiotherapy, dietitian, psychiatrist, pain management and so on - dissecting it and stripping out the usable parts.

If it is workable.

One of the major reasons for the dying of Chinese medicine is due to the education system. Students studying Chinese medicine in the China universities also study western medicine. They have the qualification to practise western medicine. In China, western medicine pays much better, not from salary but by other channels. The result is many Chinese medicine doctors are not confident to write a full prescription of various ingredients. So there is a loss in quantity and quality. The original aim of modernizing traditional medicine is good, the integration of Chinese and western medicine is excellent. But the result is not as expected. The same thing happened in Hong Kong. In the past there was very little control over Chinese herbal medicine. Then it was decided to build a modern Chinese medicine hub, with safety to the people using them. So it comes with all the requirements like laboratory tests and so on. Before the change, there were roughly 15,000 kinds of pills, oils. After that only a very small portion get registered. Most of these are lost forever and some of the more popular ones claim to be "supplements" or "health foods" from now on and changing the look to reflect their new identities. It is a pity as there could be some very potent medicines. It would seem sometimes something is better to be left alone and may be left rotten, as any help would hasten its demise.

In fact TCM is dying in China itself, though qigong is very popular among the aged or middle aged.

Don't look like Taoist ChiKung with those jerky movements. May be modeled after some martial art ChiKung.

Questions about Qigong and Healing
Master Logray replied to LookingForAnswer366's topic in Daoist Discussion
I gain by at least 2 cm after practise a simple ChiKung move. Most peoples' spine columns are compressed, fixed, and affected by prolong posture problems. Some ChiKung movements loosen, pull and thus lengthen the spine and a person becomes taller. There is nothing mystical about this. It is just most body training and even Yoga don't stress on this aspect. Another general belief is the Chi and points are on/near endocrine areas. Stimulating them might promote growth. -
Why you don't ask for advice from Indian forums? It can be done anonymously. They sure can offer great advices as they know the situation better than from here? Since other members are giving their wisdom, a technical advice may be useful. In Buddhist training, they have a white bones meditation, which is visualizing your desired persons to be bones (1 day they will be). Outer beauty will end up being bones. It would greatly reduce your desire. I am not Buddhist and if you are interested, sure some member can give you detail procedures. Another way is to predict how this beautiful woman will look like in 10, 20, 30 years. 80% of the chance, she will look like her mother. Do you really want to marry a woman look like her mother and stay with her for your whole life?

You may not know that the most suitable type of person for Taoist Inner Alchemy is not a smart person, but rather a dumb one. A smart person usually has a lot of desires, a quick mind, in-depth thinking. All these are harmful to stilling the mind. A dumb and dedicated person, willing to take all the boredom, loneliness, without query, is more ideal. As to whether fool and dumb are the same or which kind of fool is more suitable, it is not clear.

I think your thread was intended for east and west in terms of location, not culture? Translation is a problem. In fact the most difficult thing in this forum is for me to translate. But don't blame the English translation, modern Chinese can't understand the ancient text well or simply project their thoughts on the old texts. And even writers of a few hundred years ago could not agree on some of the even earlier texts.

How you arrive at this ? given there are so many Taoist and Buddhist classics. Triangulate translation is a very good suggestion to everyone.

Theoretically it can happen. e.g. focusing on LDT or areas around can arouse sexuality, which can create consequences. Some visualization techniques are problematic too. And there are factions that uses sexual acts as a form of cultivation. It obvious is very prone to corrupt a person. I also feel the Star Wars is closest to Taoism cultivation.
