It still gives you handy argument. Give folks the whole truth and they are empowered. However they use it , or disregard it, will always up to them. Should that be denied? The tendency to see the differences, historically outweighs the tendency to see commonality. Juxtaposing the differences right along with the commonality,is an attempt to portray truth.

Its important because some folks hate each other based on skin colors and cultures, which looks more foolish in the light of common origin and the ubiquity of the human condition.

Strength and Vitality: A West vs. East view

Is the bigu diet supposed to be a rejection of societal staples, or have some metaphysical ramifications, or it supposed to promote health as thats usually defined,,? What grains are the original five, should others be considered likewise and are to be avoided as well, and just when did this diet become traditional to anyone since obviously ,lots of people still eat the grains quite readily.,,? Wikipedia strikes me as rather confused about this , making it sound more like the grains were to be promoted as healthy fare. Whats the view of followers of this regime? -
Make up your mind Karl, You just said that humans are required to form concepts animals dont and cant. Did you not? and that this is the extra stage that makes the difference. Yes? Do you concede they can have a concept then?

Back round the circle ok fine ,so all I have to do is point out an animal that is doing something which requires a concept, and youll admit none of what youre saying is based on fact, is that correct?

Strength and Vitality: A West vs. East view
Stosh replied to thelerner's topic in General Discussion
Actually no, To give a woman a month is really nice and considerate, probably good for the baby as well as the whole family. Could an asian woman do small chores in three days , I suppose yes actually. But this here is tradition ,not a measure of vitality. I probably prefer to just agree with the wife, its still a trick question which depends on the baby as much as the mother. -
Oooh ,very good. I like that. well put!

True my cat cant paint. I can also beat her in arm wrestling. We need to take tiny steps and stay together here.... The faculty which identifies and integrates the perceptual data is reasoning regardless of whether its man or monkey, is that a correct adjustment?

Trick question, that depends on how undernourished the baby is. -

Well, gendao, youre making some good points there, at the strength coffee might be brewed theres more caffeine. Ill back up to say the east west arguments usually rub me the wrong way ,though, the stronger coffee is, the better I like it. but its still an exaggeration to say that coffee gets americans through the day, or that Chinese need rhino horn to get an erection. Its just insulting! -
And just how do mans senses vary from ..chimps? Youre going circular again, that mens senses are unlike animals because man reasons,,, So man reasons and other animals do not.

Im thinking strictly speaking fractal means something progesses according to the fibonacci sequence. What the clip showed were swirls... the unpredictable redistribution of rotational energy. There are four known energies making up this universe, so I figure it will be difficult to eliminate two of those, or reduce it all down to one force vs one antiforce. But well, maybe youll do it. But it doesnt clue me in about your ancestry , the tides of human endeavor, etc. Which is a scale of things that I could relate to ,and have wonder about. Nungalis info about Aboriginal australians , with some digestion strike me as..... poignant. Anything you might be good about sharing on those lines? Where your grandparents originate, tales of your people... that kind of thing?

I didnt say you were cold. Far from it in fact. But no, you arent being self consistent in this minor detail, and no your entire basis of understanding things is not going to tumble like dominoes over this. From here It is like watching an exorcism though. Try it on for size, give it a whirl and repeat after me. Higher animals have a rudimentary ability to be rational. Even humans.

My proof is pointing at what you already agreed was true. The Authority is whom you presented as agreeing with. Within the context of your own beliefs already, I have no proving to do. It should strike you just as obviously as it does to me , that you either agree with the authority quoted, or disagree. If you agree, then one can state in what should be total agreement with your own views, that animals reason. If you disagree, then you do not have a consistent definition which would allow someone else to self consistently agree With. Its really rather frustrating for me that your logic is inconsistent in this matter and prevents coming to an accord. Why is it so objectionable to you, to consider that animals do rudimentarily reason? That still doesn't make them humans, and so you could still eat them with clear conscience. Or you might have more empathy for them ,, which might make you a more sensitive and compassionate,, which feeds back to having even more sensitivity and compassion for humans who are humble and simple. Which most I think would think is kind of nice charming welcoming and so forth.

Animals clearly collect process and integrate perceptual data, do they not? Im thinking you pretty much declared that already. Rand, who you quoted , says this is reasoning.

Then an animal has only to identify and integrate perceptual data ,to be said to have reason, according to Rand. To expand ,by compilation ,reason ,,is the beginning of what gets called logic. So with this clarification you have provided, we should be able to agree that animals including humans can be said to reason. And humans with greater capacity, may perform logical thought. Yes?

Fine, but I still dont get the question....It appears you asked two questions ,neither of which fit english norms. anyway.. If I absorb an implied insult ,act deaf, there may still be peace, if I speak anyway, I am not mute, but there is still no hate. And If I dont understand your wording I am blind, but not at peace. So the passage ,as I said, Isnt valid, unless you make a conscious attempt to force fit it with reality. HH the DL, should be sent some other passage to potentially enlighten him more than he currently enjoys.

Ill leave that be, for another day ,if I may. Its an involving topic, we're a bit removed from the intent of the thread. Yes?
-
Who told you that crap ? Yes define please, reason , such as you think most fit. Ill help, ,you said concept formation is the ability to reason...

Strength and Vitality: A West vs. East view

The just to function thing is bogus exaggeration, same as pretending eastern people dont use viagra if they have access to it. Because they have the tiger balls, rhino horn, dragon whatever, bear eyelids, bird saliva soup and any other thing that someone ever hoped would turn the trick. How about the constant tea drinking, I dont suppose theres any thing in common with coffee about that beverage! -
Karl, Im not specifically aiming at free market or other market. The poor are in a much chancier risky situation than the rich ,, period. The rich pretend they have more risk because they play with more paper zeros,, but its not good enough to actually Be rich,, youve got to vindicate that by making false claims about merit. A rare man it is whos just happy for his good fortune and just marks it up to chance.
