Are you addicted to the habit , or the substance? One should ask themselves that. .. The reason why Imsaying this, is that I tend to be a bit compulsive, about lots of things. Ive been through phases that went on for years, where I really overindulged in things I liked. They were 'go to' habits. Maybe theres a better word for this than addiction. I am not saying a habit like soda consumption can't be very stubborn, it can be,, same goes for carbs , exercise, tao bumming , sleep, etc.. its just that any actions you take require your own consent, to Do them. One wants to be sated, to have acceptable things they can do to reduce stress, take their mind off work, treat themselves to Often. Of all the things one might pick, Im not sure soda is such a bad indulgence, but you know it aint really great for you either. Calling it addiction raises the expectations of failure , that you wont drop the habit, and can be an excuse to yourself not to, so if you really think the soda is too much, then you gotta stop indulging yourself with it... because thats really all it is, a temporary habitual overindulgence.

Everyone has felt wronged at some time or other, whats new under the sun? Any new solutions popped up? any surprises? perhaps a new more perfect answer you hadnt considered? I doubt it. The ol idea of blaming the victim, popped up , and the ol consider the other persons perspective ploy etc, but when it comes down to brass tacks youre probably A, proud you kept your head and acted with class, but B, still cant help that feeling there was some kind of more aggressive response deserved. Its not perfect ,no, but we have all felt wronged, wanted justice, wanted support , and a better solution. Heck , me! Id probably be stewing with venom for a while, but in the end just suck it up ,,seeing the situation not repeating, then Id try to rationalize it away ,until I basically Id just forgotten about it.

Alternatively, you could , say, YEOW! , regain composure , and then bow thanking her for the lesson with class. For if you dont take the insult or attack in the way expected, you foil the message. If she thought she was right to take advantage of the distraction , youre still covered,, and from there you havent removed any options from yourself as to how to deal with the next moment. ( THEN you throw a cheap shot, and hide behind the teacher)'.......ah I see the new post, Im too late.

Yin and yang are relative values. Its not your choice to summon one or the other. Folks can conceptualize their reactions in these terms, it suggests options. To yeild or attack, or yeild while attacking , and so forth. The normal reaction is to retaliate, to teach the other a lesson, that they cant hit you with impunity. It really is no difference if you dodge or use their momentum or whatever, to retaliate , to exert control. Though I might just smash the offender over the head with a non lethal object later when she or he wasnt expecting it. Oh theyll remember that a lot longer than an upfront retaliation, I assure you. But any way you slice it , it still comes down to threats and lessons. You chose fisticuffs , to define yourself, and there is just no pure yin or yang version of it. Thats why folks of zero spiritual value compete every bit as well in that arena ..... though others use the martial arts to reach deeper meaning in their life, or exercise, or find friendships etc.

Oh, these are lessons for a stubborn student, me, to apply my unconscious. Ok , Ill give it a go. The song is about a girl looking for truth and happiness , with drugs... the speaker was once too but eventually came to god instead. The second is just a snip about a person who noticed the annoying nature of the superego. I would say youre correct, that we arrange ideas which may not be connected in actuality into a semblance of coherency, which isnt provable or disprovable, and is individual in nature... and holding to the theme the third subject on the stair would be ego.
