  1. Watching The Birds

Yes it would, not much of a consolation prize tho. Why the heck am I on here at this time in the morning? I have so many things I should be doing right now. Boy I am a lazy SOB.
  2. Hey! I got the ticket! A yin button and a yang button ! You could use them for anything, nobody would get bent out of shape , and youd know someone read it with enough interest to click it!
  3. Like me ,for instance?
  4. The meaning of Tao?

Oh yeah, thats the ticket. Goood button. It Has a George Carlin feel.
  5. And did you eat the banana that paid the govt that ... blah blah blah! One cant be held responsible for every bad thing that ever happened, because theyd also be responsible for every good thing, and everything would be responsible for what you chose to do as well. You have to limit responsibility to that which is the knowing direct result of choice. Going farther than that, one cant direct events ,, you dont know the situation.
  6. Watching The Birds

    Yes I noticed that.
  7. The meaning of Tao?

Unfortunately you cant just use it as a no thanks button, THAT I could use. Flex my anus until it vibrates?.... NO THANKS ,

  10. Watching The Birds

That thank you button, is the worst choice ! I dont know what the heck to think,, youre Welcome? Seriously, the ambiguous symbols wouldve been better.
  11. Watching The Birds

That must be an omen, cowbirds lay eggs in other birds nests ,for them to raise. Why should one chase a crow? Dunno, verry strange.
  12. The meaning of Tao?

Id click like but its a thank you button now.
  13. The name of the site

I hope it works just as you say. Id hold back the tide if I could though.
  14. The name of the site

Before me too obviously, but it makes me nostalgic anyway. Maybe im just getting old. All this new fangled complication seems ... unneccesary. Bad even. But its going where it is going and I am shouted down . I may be lookin at it all with sceptical eyes, but I dont see the subdivisions kindly. Its like watching a small town becoming citified. In a small setting folks get to know one another, you get a sense of who they are which isnt based on a single post or a single off-day. Its not important I guess, for me to know, but I dont know why the changes are needed. Does it bring in more revenue to be subdivided by gender , creed etc? Was there ever a larger meaning, about bringing people together? Is it really actually better ? Then again, maybe its no worse, but it looks back then like individuals mattered more.
  15. The meaning of Tao?

Yeah, that was a slick ,link insertion, I like it.
  16. The meaning of Tao?

Oh , so then you already have the answer ! , this is a verbalization skills test. AHHH. Well I disagree, There are all sorts of concepts youve already come across regarding it no doubt.. But if you are expecting it to be a thing, then you need to realize that there arent any 'things' anyway. The differentiation , quantification and qualifications we conceptualize aren't really valid, since the cosmos world universe isnt actually subdivided, you are intimately linked with all the forces and materials we conceptualize. Should you rocket up to outer space , your blood would boil from the lack of pressure and temperature ,, thus you demonstrated that your physical constitution relies on counterforces to maintain its integrity ( as we we see it ordinarily) All the 'things' you know of are fabrications of the mind , arbitrarily defined.
  17. The meaning of Tao?

It doesn't sound appealing to spend much time writing out a thorough response if the reaction is already figured to be along of the lines ........., Yep , heard that , dismissed it . Moved on for something else.
  18. [TTC Study] Chapter 74 of the Tao Teh Ching

Id go the other way and say nature was heavens executioner. You lose your fear of death , you do stupid things that get you killed , OR according to DJM it is the knowledge of ones death (standing directly to ones left) , which puts the clearest perspective on ones life, without which ,one is dead already.
  19. [TTC Study] Chapter 74 of the Tao Teh Ching

I see y'all disagree about the wording I actually like this presentation as being the least interpretive ... 若民恆且畏死 if the people always afraid death/dying 則而為畸者 standard/and/however/if/so/already this/can make/become oddity/exception 吾將得而殺之 I (will) get/have this/can kill 夫孰敢矣 so who brave enough ? Isn't the meaning clear though, that its saying there is a limit to how much threats alone can do ? The state in keeping people from becoming desperate , limits how much mayhem people are willing to chance. The laws clearly play a role , but preventative measure is still important. When the people feel the cause is important they will still risk their lives. So keeping people happy in the face of potential punishment preserves the state.
  20. Anus control and breathing

I was going to make comment and changed my mind, but since you asked , I liked the part about ' it 'being easy to find is all.
  21. Yes? Congratulations on finally retiring.
  22. 混沌

I didnt know scallops had bright orange bits, never saw them that way. I guess we cut that off... then again I never thought of them as Meat, either. But one thing I am very certain on , Ketchup is not Tomato Sauce ! It is ketchup , and only Ever! Ketchup.
  23. [TTC Study] Chapter 74 of the Tao Teh Ching

Aye, In that, our possibilities are truly limitless.
  24. Idea-traps

Thanks, thats certainly as nice as I could hope to hear. Novelty , the favorite child of ignorance , never leaves my side for long. I agree strongly that its just super hard to tell how much of ones interp is entirely a creative function.
