I've given you an opportunity to teach , rather than just post words. Buddha has been said to have desired none to portray his image , and that was honored for a century or so,,if thats true was that respect? or was it respect to do it anyway? If Buddha told me that I should take no ones word for things of a spiritual nature unless I too could see the truth of it , would it be respect to challenge HHDL's statement or to just accept it? Im not just saying these things for theoretical value. Im really posing them.

Yes they are, advice, implies a directive , often indicated by the word should. Criticism in vernacular implies a negative thing which , should be corrected if possible. But its not really the direct answer, IMO HHDL is giving advice and it is critical of one being critical. You know more of this lore than I do but I was under the impression that Buddha , was sometimes critical of other groups and persons at times. Was he not? While I understand from a practical point of view, I can serve my own aims perhaps by not saying some things,, HHDL appears to be suggesting I should use that as reason for my actions,it implies I am not motivated by concern for others. It makes no concession that I can see, for telling folks what they need to hear, though they might not like it. Though he does so himself , does he not? I see no logical requirement for me to place on him a burden of perfection, but ,, if this is advice he gives.. his imperfection, undermines it. Has he not railed against injustices etc,? To tie my hands in discussion and hold me to the higher standard ,, doesnt sit right. If I do take exception to what he has said, is he not wrong?

So I may criticize , as long as the person its aimed at , knows about his fault already?

Here , folks extend themselves with well meant advice etc. Most falls to the ground. Im thinking this is what makes waste of beans. Is he not telling me about my harsh words? Is this not a correction of me?

What outcome? One has retreated in both. The undescribed outcome is determined by the receiver, I take advice or eat the shared bean. Thats not excrement unless my words were excrement. Nah too cryptic , rephrasing...

One bean on my plate is better than a thousand beans on anyone elses screw them. Same dynamic right, so why wouldnt disclosure be an act of generosity as well?

There's plenty of evidence that the tail does indeed wag the dog. Rationalizing for example. Its well known in sales. If the planets affect ones mind, that would be the physical affecting the mental. If the creative act of the mind results in action, the relationship is of the mental influencing the physical. While I am not denying things affect one another, your example of planetary influence appears contrary to your conclusion. Which would ,ironically, be an example of the heart ruling the mind. Case in point.

Nah, Nungali, the paradigm is much simpler , Its that everyone else is confused and a sucker because they have subconscious which they dont understand, See If you didnt have that, you too would be able to consciously control what everyone else was doing-they would be puppets. So if Mom wanted you to stop behaving badly youd just know to tell her you were going to confess something - which she wants to think would be legit , and so she would fall for it by default , and you could secretly think she was a fool. Its not really about anything metaphysical.

I was just speculating that since were moving into summer they might be moving into winter and the thing might need some kind of big sleep after a period of rapid growth. Its an interesting pet , thats for sure.

Trying to what? He complained about the harsh responses , then comes back leading off with an insult , says he wants proof of his subconscious , then when he is provided with a way to get it , ignores that, then when called for ignoring it, implies that Its my neediness for attention that he would be satisfying. Its a game of blame , yanking chains. Yeah Im critical of that, If theres anything that gets my goat , its perverting the good and helpful impulses of others into bad ones.

Yeah well you should ! The effeort was on your behalf but you still dont seem to recognize that , clear in the patronizing response. And yes defending you isn't necessary, that was me also sticking my neck out for you in a small way. And yes nothing to defend is correct , since the cause is a lost one. You arent appreciative of what is being offered and extended, you aren't being respecting of the folks who are responding. and The melodramatic , I am not here stuff doesnt apply when the subject is non material in all its content.
