I agree that modernization would be desirable , one does get exposed to rather ancient object lessons and "Ye Olde time" language. After a while , the whole thing becomes imbued with an alien perspective, I have no idea what folks thought about oxen ( Im not even sure I know what constitutes an ox vs a cow ) , or what they would consider a reasonable description of things like oxidation occurring. It strikes me equally weird when christians fall into Old English to do a prayer to god , which-who anyone may have construed , didnt actually speak that language. ( almost as weird as listening to recitations of things in latin which one doesnt understand. ) Dost thou hearken as I sayeth ? Whatd thoust wondredthst ??

I dont understand the 'big cat' rescue link. I also consider keeping lions and tigers so close to folks homes in cages umm a bad idea. ( I excuse the issue for the smaller species - for various reasons) Though I understand the positive motivations some of the ramifications of how things work out dont strike me as well considered , an example of such more familiar is the sheltering of literally millions of unwanted domestic cats , I love my own cat , mind you, but just caging everything up somewhere isnt a fully considered answer, IMO.

That IS weird The oddities I encounter just arent dramatic like that , but Id have to agree that ,,Yeah, after a while you take it for granted ,, at least I do , mainly because I cant see any direct way to apply or prove it. That sounds like quite a large number of totems Skydog. Im fine with just one, which seems to suggest itself to me, rather than me selecting something else than my crows. In considering them ,vs picking from amongst other things , I have a different regard. They arent buddies or pets , they arent familiars or idealizations of what I'd think I'd best be like. But I do stop and consider their significance when it strikes me that the situation is somehow odd. I do see just plain crows all the time and I do enjoy watching them goof around on gusty days ,or how they ,,sort of,, just close their wings and drop onto their feet rather than flare thier wings to land gently... but the odd ones stand out , flagging to me what is going on,,, that there is something happening or about to happen which I should be more cognizant of.

Ive observed crows omen-like at certain pivotal junctures , so I considered them as such.. I dont know how anyone gets totems other than being born into a clan , or I guess a shaman would let you in on yours,, but then if you didnt know about it to begin with , then I guess its not a very helpful-talkative one... I dont suppose any of the shaman types want to have a thread to determine what each responder has, as a totem or spirit guide.... which would be a cool service.

The battery is in the fob ,as is the control chip. The car is the receiver... or so Ive read. I think the effect is that the water is acting like a reflector , having the effect of amplifying the portion of the signal sent out that is captured by the car. Or so it would seem. Nifty trick though. If I could figure out how to replace the battery in mine. PS we tried this at lunch on Hyundai and had to walk so far in order for the control not to wrk that it became moot whether holding it to ones head made a difference.

IMO anyone can ,and will make judgements about things , they can appear as instict , (but I wouldnt call them such) , anywho ,, I feel the thing one should understand about the judgements we make is that they are largely subjective, just as the last thing to make one barf is a stimulus which not everyone will share in. Knowing the subjectivity of it doesnt make it go away however , and Im not sure that having judgements go away would beneficial one can have "instinct" to trust , to empathize , to defend ,, just as often as they will be motivated to distrust , reserve empathy , or attack. Understanding the subjective nature of our opinions gives us leeway to extend a benefit of doubt , exert tolerance , or leave another to thier own. When one thinks they have things "right" then anyone else is conclusively factually "wrong" if they dont agree. There are times when one can claim to be correct , vs erroneous , but subject matter of that sort is actually "provable" leaving opportunity for disparate views to come into accord, In correcting , the person wrong is the one who stands to benefit. This gets forgotten often out of a desire to have faith in oneself in light of potential "righteous correctors " trying to undermine others to find validations that do not depend on facts. The errors lie in confusion about that which constitutes "fact" and that which constitutes subjective opinion. Well , thats how I see it. ( so it MUST be FACT)

What is the no part , if you or I kibbitz , at all , then we would cause the behavior of men to be altered , assuming it had any effect at all. If you changed your mind , you would be demonstrating flaw , either in the past or present. Yes one can delude themselves ,( that god adjusts to make things nice for person E if they suck up , or that he takes revenge if they F up. ) You have nothing to do with it other than allowing the circumstance to exist. My will is mine. If it was yours then whatever I did would be you doing it and it would follow your own motivations and expectations and so my behavior would not be revealing ( assuming you know about yourself ) As far as I know no one is telepathic and identities are individual, even for conjoined twins. If the identity was a shared one , then it would be a single identity. Thats fantasy until proven, and worse than useless if entertained to the detriment of rational consideration of what IS. Prove it first and we can then speculate on its importance. Maybe .. but I think I can operate on the pivot of a whim. ( pleasantly so) Theres no winning since thats 1 an imaginary construct , and 2 , there is no prize other than the consequences of ones actions ( so the "loser " would also experience a consequence and therefore achieve a "prize") I dont know what you are getting at there , "a collective " is a matter of what or whom one wants to include and exclude. The collection itself is a subjective thing that doesnt exist objectively. Show me a marble collection , and I can subdivide that into different collections without so much as touching them. Your 'collection' of marbles that do exist , is actually a subjective attitude you have toward them. If he tells you , then he defeats his own plan. Youre supposed to be in the dark. Supposed to never know, supposed to be unswayed. If the bet was hedged successfully , you could never know what the outcome would have been. If you know what would sway things to your favor you cant help but play up to it , (or against it like an Ahab). Youre a free agent dude An eagle free to make his own calls. If a creator made us to have free will , then it must be, that we could do things differently,, that is to say , create our own destiny,, one unknown to the creator. Thusly , we be little demi-gods... remembering the past and projecting changes into the future. put in a scenario with some rules and some choice. Reverse engineering suggests the same would be the situation of the creator and endorses the idea that he cant just 'mess with us' and 'not mess with us'. Play the ball and live with the consequences Such a freedom is a great gift if gift it is. One grows up and takes ownership ( hopefully) , the childish dependency is abandoned .. and I, for one ,would not choose the situation of childhood again except to avoid some calamity.
