Well if this is actually what you think , then there is no chance we would ever come to an accord. I've seen plenty of your non-standard views and if you believed ,that numbers of people persuaded to an idea, determined the fact of the matter. then your views would also be outnumbered. So the way it appears to me , is , so that you do not have to conclude the point I made is correct , you are going to pretend otherwise. It wouldn't change any factual argument , but its traditional to deny everything the opposing team says ,even to the point of absurdity, like we just saw.

Fine, starting with colors, would you agree that you would see a rainbow of hues passing white light through a prism? RGBIV? Well juxtapose that the wavelengths are a progression with no distinctions of RGBIV. Why do you think that there is red and blue? It's such a complete illusion that people don't believe it even when explained. They still see colors.

Some good sound thinking is represented there. But the world presented to you is a filtered model of what is outside your brain. For instance, colors are a fabrication of your sight mechanism. And a person seen as constant, is actually a thing in flux. Saying no things are real , is very similar,if not identical, to thinking all things are real. I don't know why they think indigenous cultures would want to be portrayed as victims all the time, it's so insulting and arrogant. Most of them are proud of their warriors and culture and were just as brutal ,they just didn't have the weapons or numbers to crush their european enemies first. It's not like they all ran away without trying to defend themselves.

I haven't had to make changes , I already live frugally. I don't destroy beyond my use , catch and release when fishing , although that's been years since.The environment concerns me but honestly I am not going to save the earth by myself , it needs to be attempted with general accord. (Although the ice age didn't show up , and global warming is part of a natural cycle... its actually fine if people run around declaring the sky is falling down if it brings about concern sooner than later. )

Big Wars. Disease. Global warming will all shift the number of people down. But you know that already. A more subtle more kind-ly factor, is that affluence decreases population growth. So the obvious answer is that people should kill each other and make money. It's the way of nature. Animals fight to spread themselves out. And reduce the number of young as they go up the food chain overall.

So , out of the goodness of your heart , and in the best interests of your tribe you try to help 'em get their heads screwed on straight. Teach em how to be strong and true. But Nah, they get it wrong , start proclaiming the existence of Bigfoots , advanced space aliens probing people and all that. They never proclaim faith in Easter Bunnies and Muchkins , why is that? Its because those are harmless blameless little imaginary creatures.

There is the graph cherry-picked to show an upward trend. That just cannot go by unheeded. The blooming time is spurious but the report demonstrated, what looks to me to be, doom and gloom erroneous news. There is strong reason to doubt ,and numbers of adherents is a bogus means to determine who handled the data legit so as to relate the truth rather than prop up a ploy. Like for UFOs each person has their own motive to report.

Now after seeing thus far, I think Jonesboy has successfully shown some data contradicting effectively the doomsday predictions. So the Taoist suggestion would be to do nothing.
