Is it time for chapter 2?

I have a tendency to connect everything , so I tend to drift, its a good exercise for me to just be patient. If someone is sporatically and quietly trying to audit the conversation, the next time they would drop in,, The topic would be totally different and may have taken several turns already.

Um..pretending people can live forever if they sit and stare at their eyelids long enough would represent a sellout imo

Prolongation of life by cowardice, or by miraculous escape. The desire or fear are both non acceptance of the inevitable imo, the persona we inhabit and think we are is but a transient thing , an illusion . To believe the truth is other than that defeats all the wisdom the ancients tried to explain. It would represent a capitulation, a palatable lie , and shameful self betrayal of their integrity. I don't want to read they were so disingenuous. Let all else kid themselves and suffer the illusions , that they lived and can die. That they can succeed or fail . That they and their lives could be found wanting . The understanding , the deliverance , which they tried to bestow .. is completely undermined if one retains the idea that they can cheat the reaper.

Dunno, for every thing there is a season . I'm thinking the six month thing is just a casual reference to the ascendency of yang and its return to the mother. Just a minor intro to the cyclic nature of life , honorable teacher.

Yep thats where I was going too , As it is above so it is below , and so forth ,,, drawing analogies to show phenomena ,, in a way already understood,, and demonstrate the principles are still the same. Whichever perspective you look from.

Thing is, that they would get smug about it , if they did. Yin and Yang are relative The natural state of a humanoid is to assert themselves , look at any young kids. They are totally egocentric , the world revolves around them , none are born meek , they have meekness thrust upon them . Same goes for tiger cubs ( Ive played with some) they are very single minded , and a human is just another object in their sphere. ( still really cool though)

Consider some digital data , it is a series of ons and offs, 1 0 s . If I never examine the data no conclusion about whether it was ones or zeros or a mix. That is a situation of no evidence either way. Now consider the data, the zeros indicate in the sequence that there is not a one there and the ones indicate there is not a zero there. If you couldn't be sure of the zeros as well as the ones you cpupdnt have any certainty what the sequence was! So the lack of power, at points in the sequence is just as much 'evidence' as the peaks of power are. Scenario 2 ..process of elimination, A person forgets where they put down their keys.. they look in a few places to ascertain they are NOT in those spots and move on until they do find the keys. Again, the evidence of where the keys are not leads one to be able to determine where they are. IF a person could not trust the evidence of where the keys were not, they would ... ridiculously .. look in the exact same place over and over again..why? Because they would have no reason to assume the keys were not going to be there!

I know what you mean ,by 'atomic' im referring to the particle nature not necessarily to the atoms, or molecules , as they are understood today. The planes of the structure are actually inconsistencies between groups of atoms which have different bond strengths the structure is still composed of the atoms though, and the shear planes are merely an indicator of where the bonds were strained ( calling metals crystalline is a dubious attribution because of the shared electron cloud and opaque amorphous structure ) But thats unimportant .. The ancient greeks didnt have electron microscopes. Im talking to the means by which they could come to the concept of atoms. They did have metals and they did have the math to come to a conclusion.
