I never said that sex was the ultimate experience , you are confusing me with somebody else. Those predators who adopt prey items like so , usually eat them somewhere down the line, they are just misapplying their natural instincts for the time being. Beasts killing beasts, is still brutal --can even be hideous. I watched some of the vid ,It means nothing.

This one actually seemed to be showing off , she was completely aware that I was there (in fact I think I may have scared the moorhen over to where she had been hiding in the grass) She took it into the woods let it run out and batted it around in front of me. Then she grabbed it up, posed in front of the camera with it . And took into the woods for dinner. But no , they dont seem to have much of a sense of humor unless its of the 'dry' type. (It was more of a Kiss my Butt , I have a bird and you dont. statement) Got a soft spot for house sparrows and especially starlings, I used to watch em as a kid from out the window ,jumping around in a big sycamore tree. Ahhh cicle of life! freudian slip I guess.

Yep, the jamestown thing can really surprise folks to find out about idealized history debunked I've read more than a few such accounts , surmounting to a conclusion that at some point all peoples have examples of cannibalism in the past. If I had to , I am pretty sure I would eat anybody freshly dead already, but would likely play the waiting game first...I can think of a few exceptions though. And though you can profess otherwise, as many have before you.. Why reading about eating bothers you is probably taboos and admitting your basic human basis. The cow or pig would eat me, they do eat animal meal, and if I am no better than they, I can eat them, if I am better or worse than them , then there is a fundamental difference between us.,, either way things look grim for the cow.

Like I said way back inthe thread, if the stuation was reversed, me or the cow-person, I wouldn't be happy about being the meal. But you are not a cow.

But seriously DRT, We agree to a point, and I guess, its right after describing the qualitative difference between humans and beasts.Human cognition and spirit, as far as we can tell, is really a human only thing. Sure beasts have emotions and bodies too, and I am not sure I would be comfortable eating primate meat, but apart from that all bets are off, and I need to eat just like they do, so in no way shape or form should I entertain reservations about it, and it certainly doesn't mean I am heartless.maybe you draw the line at vegetables maybe with eggs , , birds fish etc. But there is always a line , which one does cross, be it walking on grass or using oxygen, or just using resources. The world is finite, there are no free lunches. There will always be a point at which you are guilty of putting yourself ahead of something somebody, and there is nothing wrong with that.

But we just don't know anything very much at all about her. I would like to find out more before I rendered judgement. Tao doest say sex is bad, sure she is showing off for money, so what! We all have to things for currency.If we knew that she was in a committed relationship and her beau was very hurt, we could say something negative. Bobcats don't have much choice, but I caught that one goofing wth its meal, helps keep em in fighting trim. I doubt the pigeons will scare off the hummers, they don't compete, they will come back most likely. Its all the big cicle of life.

Rarely is there much interest in actually changing a point of view, by anybody, anywhere. I figure it spawns the 'forsake knowlege' catchphrase. Ok , I can take that how it seems its meant , but I would point out that we do in fact largely dominate the planet like it or not. Being subject to guinea worm, famine and drought and all sorts of pestilence ,powerless, Doesnt seem an advantageous position to be in. Its mans nature to effect things to his advantage.
