No but the picture looks like it will be rather visible and near it just after dusk , I havent paid much attention to astronomy so I dont know if itll be very good viewing but I have binocs if I can find it Looking at the possibility of better photos of an eclipse with clouds , it looks like one might be able to make do with a hoya filter for about 70 bucks, with the clouds blocking out the infrared , and up to 85 % of the uv passing through the clouds , one might get some nifty results. Gotta read up more.

Sorry , but this doesn't jive with your flat earth presentation, IMO,, And IMO we don't need oracles and gods ,( I don't know who came up with that bad idea , ) ordinary breath works just fine to render the universe understandable , to the extent that one needs to understand , its still incredible , and I think its fine to be OK with things not being entirely explainable.

That's actually well put, from the viewpoint of an individuals immediate experience , that would appear to be recognizable. However, that is , I think you could agree , a view which is very very immediate , and requires the person to put these other ideas , like geography and physics , in abeyance. Because once we learn broader associations , it can actually become part of the way in which we see the world. When I see birds, I see the species identifiers , then construe the species, and it is no longer just a flapping thing, it then appears a member of a grouping , it has an age and gender and behaviors etc. So an experience can be enriched by including a broader non-immediate experience ( intellectually).. Or it might be enhanced by getting away from all that, and just appreciating the colors sounds and so forth. Agreed?

A view that is true, has a high degree or accord with that which actually exists , regardless of sentiments. So no , there is but one truth , and we all have views about it, and subjective illusions which contradict the factual truth. Truth which is Objective fact, must be inferred and considered within a conceptual framework, (otherwise nothing can be accurately said about it).

I don't know if you can get air cool enough to make a block of it, but I did see a clip where they made a solid cube that was lighter than air,, but then it floated away , so they quit the project. ( you need the air to have the lift effect, I thiink, in a situation of denser air , you might fly or float.)

A relatively flat earth would be dry at the edges, or the seas would all drain off. Which leaves the possibility that one could use climbing gear to go to the other side. which would also experience days, and sunshine, just the gravity would pull up.

This is what it looked like to eyes , through the shifting cloud cover, and another pic (darkened and desaturated) as the moon left , which is darkened and the color shot is showing color which was not evident until darkened up a lot.

At about 25 percent coverage the sun doesnt look dimmed much , but the light outside did have a soft look. First pic is 25% , second pic of the road , was at peak ,about 80 percent.

I made the pinhole box thing, it was actually kind of neat. This is what it looks like. Since the web clips were not in sync with florida , it helped to know when it was here. The small pinhole looks neat and sharp, the bright one is larger but softer edged. This was beforehand.

I imagine the more attention you bring to the subject the more you would be... unintentionally advocating it, or at least emphasizing the the impression of impact, burning ones-self to death, might have. Whereas , telling folks , who must be rather,, motivated, about it ,that you aren't in favor of it, probably wouldn't be of much impact. Sometimes the best thing is not to add fuel to the fire,, so to speak.

Oo eclipse almost here , partial 80 percent or so. I made the cardboard box viewer , and it looks like itll work pretty good , ,when clouds passed in front of the sun , you could see the margins extending beyond the solar circle.. and I can still see.

Good morning, belated. Being that the solar eclipse isnt here yet , it, being a convenient milestone, and this being an outstanding dialog , Ill just say this.. What one might call superficial, is in fact a summary of ones sentiments. Authenticity, does coincide with ideas about ones core identity. Taken together, these two ideas do not jive, because your ego is unique to you personally. It gives you individual identity, and without it , your supposed core is undifferentiated sentience. which one cannot fully exemplify and live. This meatbag and ego are me as an individual.
