Burning tongue tip touching roof during energy work
mike 134 replied to SecretGrotto's topic in General Discussion
you touch the HARD palate, not the soft palate. The hard palate is right behind the teeth. It is very easy and does not require any strain at all. Just curve it upwards very slightly. also I am curious about this statement: in this thread http://thetaobums.com/topic/22912-semen-retention-100-days-and-my-experiences/page-2 it says I have been experiencing flutuations in dream intensity over time, sometimes it seems like I don't dream at all but other times I am having vivid dreams all night long. I don't do any practices though, and I certainly enjoy dreaming more than not dreaming. -
How to create a lifestyle including a possible income that supports a Meditative Livestyle?
mike 134 replied to 4bsolute's topic in General Discussion
??? If you have the money you can live however you like. So make as much money as you can when you work, and then do whatever you want in your free time. Work to live, don't live to work. -
stimulating the "nerve in the center of the body" through touch
mike 134 posted a topic in General Discussion
Hey ppl I'm doing some online research about erogenous zones. I started with the wiki article, and found this interesting sentence: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Erogenous_zone Obviously this sounds like some kind of kundalini phenomenon, but my question is how this is possible through the mere touch of the skin??? Touching is mediated by cutaneous (skin) nerves with somatic afferent fibres, and if these are damaged you might have some numbness, tingling, or pain in the distribution of that nerve, but not any of the symptoms associated with kundalini. Meanwhile, the vagus nerve, which some people think is responsible for "spiritual" effects, does not innervate the skin of the abdomen. Is Madonna just making this stuff up ??? How is it possible? Thanks. -
Extreme sensitivty to alcohol & dairy?
mike 134 replied to ą„Dominicusą„'s topic in General Discussion
Alcohol is bad for you. You should be happy that you get bad effects when drinking it, because this is the best way to learn to avoid it. There's actually a medicine called disulfram which is sometimes prescribed to abusers because it makes them sensitive to the negative effects of alcohol, therefore discouraging alcohol use. Eggs are NOT diary products. Do cows lay eggs ??? You may be allergic. Sucks to be you, cause eggs and milk are delicious. -
Hi people, I used to think that all things "spiritual" were caused only by the central and peripheral nervous systems. For instance, various nerve bundles and their branches are responsible for "channels", nerve plexi (ie, celiac plexus, pelvic sacral plexus, etc) are responsible for the "chakras", and various parts of the brain, when stimulated, give rise to altered states of consciousness such as lucid dreams and god-identity. But then I noticed that the major endocrine glands are all lined up along the center of the body, corresponding in location precisely to the "chakras": Apparently I'm far from the first to notice this connection, because if you google endocrine and chakra or kundalini you'll get some results, although they are mostly speculations from unqualified dabblers. However, I did some investigation and found that the pineal gland, which some people think correspond to either the "third eye" or the "crown", has a large concentration of endogenous DMT. This substance when administered exogenously produces altered states of consciousness like the ones I mentioned above. Further, a key enzyme responsible for DMT synthesis is found in the pineal: http://www.neurophys.wisc.edu/~cozzi/Indolethylamine%20N-methyltransferase%20expression%20in%20primate%20nervous%20tissue.pdf So what is the scientific explanation of spirituality???? Is it the nervous system? Or the endocrine system? Or is it wrong to think of it as a dichotomy in the first place, given the very close connection between the two systems?

????? thinking while trying to sleep (or even thinking in general) sends that heat/chi/kundalini stuff to my head, so I can't sleep.

spirituality = nervous system or endocrine system?
mike 134 replied to mike 134's topic in General Discussion
You know what I just realized? All the visceral (not in the head) endocrine organs I mentioned above are innervated by CN X, even the reproductive ones, as suggested by this paper that I mentioned in another thread: http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15451368 (argues for the existence of vagal innervation of female pelvic organs). So you can't split the two. Dunno what the hell I was thinking earlier. Yeah same here. Some of the mystical explanations floating around here make absolutely no sense to me. But unfortunately most scientific explanations put forward to explain spirituality are speculations that are unverified by experiment, and oftentimes written by unqualified people. LIke this person who wrote this article on chakras and endocrine glands.. http://www.psi-researchcentre.co.uk/article_2.html She has a PhD.... in parapsychology. -

What is the secret of being ultra smart ?
mike 134 replied to Tatsumaru's topic in General Discussion
the secret to intelligence is simply being born with it. The "environmental" contribution to intelligence is only a negative one (ie, you can reduce your intelligence through drugs, drinking, and not getting enough sleep). You can't increase your intellect permanently, although you can temporarily increase some components of intelligence such as concentration and alertness by using stimulants. -
The vagus nerve is not the sushumna/central channel
mike 134 replied to Tibetan_Ice's topic in General Discussion
Not correct. It continues and actually joins with the right vagus nerve as the esophageal plexus.- 30 replies

The vagus nerve is not the sushumna/central channel
mike 134 replied to Tibetan_Ice's topic in General Discussion
It is thought that the most distal branches of the vagus nerve innervate the colon. However, there is evidence that there may exist branches lower than this in the pelvic area. See this article http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pubmed/15451368 where it was discovered that women with complete spinal cord injury can still orgasm with stimulation of the vagina and cervix, and that these orgasms are mediated by the vagus nerve.- 30 replies

Hi guys, I haven't ejaculated for over 3 weeks now because I wanted to build up heat/chi/kundalini/whatever you call so I can experiment with the effects of sending it to various parts of my body. I've been doing this on and off for a while with no success (sending that stuff to most places does absolutely nothing) but finally I discovered that by sending it to the SCROTUM for only a couple of seconds causes a definitive and re-producible boost in sexual functioning and pleasure which lasts for hours. It feels like there are extra and more sensitive nerves in my penis which feels really awesome. I was like hell yeah I finally found a positive result from this kundalini disorder, and I was pretty happy since, but late last week I found that this technique no longer works. I'm sending this kundalini stuff to the scrotum with no more effect whatsoever, and my sex drive is down. Why is this technique no longer working? I have not abused this (only a couple of seconds maybe every other day), and I have not burned myself out because I was actually like this permanently before I got sick from kundalini syndrome 2 years ago. I still haven't ejaculated, and no I don't do any practices besides this. Any ideas? Thanks.

No I'm not impotent it just doesn't feel as good. It's "normal" instead of "super".
-
Actually it worked like a charm. I remember a couple of times when my penis felt kind of numb, no pleasure, then I sent some heat/energy/qi/kundalini/whatever to warm up the scrotum for a couple of seconds and then boom the penile shaft felt like it was innervated with extra nerves by a factor of 1000x; I could hardly touch it because it was soooooooo pleasurable. Not only was the effect dramatic, but it was also reproducible. It worked every time for over a week, but now it's not working anymore, and I'm getting frustrated. I thought I found the magical sex button but why is it not working anymore... UGGHHH !!!!!

Thx for the reply, but isn't the whole point of all of these practices to manipulate heat/qi/kundalini/whatever to produce the effects that YOU desire???

spontatenously hearing this really high pitch virbration/ noise?
mike 134 replied to becomethepath's topic in General Discussion
The vagus nerve innervates the skin of the external ear canal (and part of the auricles), not the deeper structures that might be responsible for tinnitus. It might be CN VIII though. -
I just want to add one further thought. I've been doing further research online on this topic the last few days. It's not easy, because when you google "eye roll + orgasm" all you get are porn sites, lol. I did, however, find another forum that talked about the same subject, and while it was not nearly as knowledgeable as this one, I did confirm my anecdotal observation that these motions are extremely rare. That makes me wonder, is there anything special or different about the ppl who do these motions involuntarily, and the vast majority of other people who don't? Do they share common genes, personality traits, and behaviors? If we had them do real yoga and meditation, will they make rapid progress compared to average people, and be far more prone to the "kundalini syndrome" ??? I don't expect anybody to know the answers to these questions but it's just a thought.....

real BDSM party? errr... I don't even watch BDSM porn it's a turnoff for me. But anyway whatever they do its not really natural though.
-
I think theres a deeper reason why ppl do poses instinctively, but that doesn't explain some of the more difficult postures. I can't imagine an orgasm (or any biological process) that can cause somebody to do this
-
Hi guys. I can manipulate "kundalini heat" through my mind only, but lately I've been experimenting with supplementing with movement as well. Unlike all of you, I always try to send it downward to ground and never upward where it causes bad symptoms. I found that I can squeeze it downward by forcefully contracting my chest and intercostal muscles while pushing the shoulders down. However, I am not sure if I should be doing this on inhalation or exhalation. I've been reading around and it seems like most people inhale when they try to move "energy" upward, so it would make sense to exhale when trying to move it down. But exhaling involves pushing the diaphragm muscle upward, so shouldn't inhalation (which pushes the diaphragm, and presumably "energy", downward) be used instead? Thanks!
-
WMJ: thanks for that insightful post believe it or not I'm doing something similar to what you mentioned. For the last couple of weeks I've been trying to force it downward with exhale while standing (not tilting though). I also bring attention to my feet both through mind as well as by hopping and balancing on one foot. You know what it is way easier bringing this stuff upward than downward. I can think about my forehead and instantly there is heat and pressure there, and then I start twitching, getting agitated, and restless, but in order to bring it down I have to use really strong visualization as well as very tight squeezing of my chest, shoulder, and intercostal muscles, coupled with relaxing of the abdominal muscles to force it down. I'm constantly on the lookout for additional grounding techniques that might be easier. Pure visualization alone is too weak. When I am squeezing my chest muscles the expression on my face is identical to when I'm lifting heavy weights at the gym.

Yes I know I inhale and exhale but I need to know which one to emphasize. I can inhale normally and forcefully exhale, or I can forcefully inhale but passively exhale. Which one is best for sending this heat/energy/chi/kundalini whatever downward? It tends to go up with most activities. I bend my back, it goes up. I watch TV, it goes up. I listen to music, it goes up. I read something, it goes up. I get excited, it goes up. So at the end of the day my head feels like it's gonna explode, so before going to bed at night I spend a couple of minutes trying to force it down so I can sleep without becoming agitated. Believe it or not what I am currently doing actually works, and most nights I can fall asleep, but it's not 100%. I'm always on the lookout, experimenting with new methods to ground. My current regimen is the result of months of trial and error.

21 day retention challenge for guys and girls
mike 134 replied to White Wolf's topic in General Discussion
errr... thanks man but I seriously think whatever benefit I get from this is outweighed by the side effects of the sleeping pills I have to take lol. That 21 days was an anomaly; I've ejaculated pretty much every day of my life since age 13 and many days I ejaculate several times a day. I'm still in my 20's but most ppl think I look several years younger. **shudders** -
What is the secret of being ultra smart ?
mike 134 replied to Tatsumaru's topic in General Discussion
The fact that siblings, who share 50% of their genes, can manifest markedly different triats cannot be used to argue against the underlying genetic basis of phenotypic expression. Lots of sibling sets have different eye and hair colors, but they are still genetic and not environmentally determined. Only if you had said one sibling out of a set of twins or triplets could genetic factors be overlooked. Many people today tend to downplay the role of genetics because they are under the negative but thoroughly pervading influence of liberalism, whose doctrines specifically espouse the false belief that we are all equal. Their most extreme exponents try to explain away the obvious differences in intelligence between people (and particularly between races) by denying that intelligence even exists in the first place !!! -
21 day retention challenge for guys and girls
mike 134 replied to White Wolf's topic in General Discussion
I did this for 21 days a couple of months ago in order to investigate the effects of all the heat buildup in my body. By week two there was tons of heat and I could warm up any part of my body just thinking about it, but I had lots of twitching, insomnia, and agitation, and I couldn't sleep at night. I was doped out on sleeping pills. Finally I ejaculated and felt better. I make sure I ejaculate daily or at the minimum once every other day to prevent this.
