Damn I remember those days, getting 3 hours of sleep a night for months. It totally sucked. I was taking all kinds of sleeping pills. Insomnia is the worst damn symptom you can get and it totally screws you up. Try OTC sleep aids, and figure out why you can't sleep. Don't attribute anything to 'kundalini' until you've ruled out other causes.

Hey ppl Something strange happened to me this morning and I am wondering if anybody can shed some light as to what happened. So I was laying there in bed at 6AM, trying to get another hour or two of sleep before I get up and start my day. Unfortunately, my neck started spasming, and I started twitching, preventing me from falling back asleep. I really hate this symptom cause it's so damn annoying and deprives me of extra sleep in the morning. So I grabbed a heating pad and placed it on my neck to try to get rid of the spasm. But then I thought, why do I need a heating pad when I can just heat up my neck directly? Ever since I started having the so called kundalini syndrome, I found that I can just send heat to wherever I want just by thinking about it. So I reasoned that maybe I can shut up the neck spasms by warming up that area. Less than a minute later, my ears started humming and my head started vibrating. Then I had an out of body experience where I was transported far into space and saw all sorts of strange things. I won't go into detail about it but I am wondering: did I somehow trigger this experience by sending heat to my neck? Is the neck area related to OBE's and "astral projection" ??? I have OBE's once every few weeks, but they have heretofore all been random; I get them within dreams or early in the morning as I am about to wake up, but I have never triggered them consciously before. If I can activate them consciously I can use that to get some extra rest in the morning. Thanks.
-
would it act that quickly? seriously it was like, I sent heat there, and within 1 minute I was having the OBE. I have heat in the body 24/7 but this has never happened before. What exercise are you talking about, does it involve heat? Thanks dude. i used to think I was the shit but this thing changed that, I'll still be complaining in five or ten years lol.

hey guys, I really hate to be posting so many times recently but this one is quick. So I've been having recent problems with apathy, but starting a week ago I also noticed increasing insomnia. And my body heat, muscle twitches, neck spasms, and foot vibrations have all been getting worse, especially at night. Usually when these things happen it's caused by stress on my back, like doing abdominal crunches, playing tennis, lifting using improper technique, etc. But the last week I have not done any of those activities, in fact, I've been mostly sitting on my ass, studying for an upcoming certification exam....trying to get my career back on track. But then it occurred to me that maybe it is my very reading and studying that is causing this? I remember hearing somewhere that too much mental exertion brings energy/ chi/ prana/ whatever, into the head. And it might stay up there. I never had problems with this in the past (I used to pull "all-nighers" frequently), but now I have this damn kundalini thing to deal with, and it's changing my body. I'm now sensitive to stuff that I was not in the past. So what do you guys think? Is it possible to get "energy" stuck in the head from studying several hours a day? How do I deal with this situation, short of not studying = failing? And no, I am not stressed out at all about the exam. in fact stress and anxiety levels are unusually low for me. Thanks.

excess energy in the head from studying? WTF

ok dude you clarified the neck position for me, thanks for ur long and detailed post. Meh, too bad it's not so simple like you said about going up the back and down the front. Cause sometimes it does feel like things are going in the opposite direction. whatever, though, I don't really care as long as it doesn't go to my head. lol my head feels kind of charged up just reading your post it's so detailed heh heh. -

u mean like when ur standing up straight and looking forward? -
i can't speak for other ppl but I watch porn regularly. I do it intentionally in order to fight against "kundalini." I figure that the more "energy" I give to the lower areas, the less "energy" is available to go up to my head, causing all my nasty overload symptoms.

Yeah turtle that's a good perspective on things. I don't want this kundalini stuff to drag me down. I would ideally like to ignore it and pretend it doesn't exist. I actually slept better last night after 2 days of no work, and I walked on the treadmill to let stuff drain out. But this morning at 5 AM my damn neck spasms returned. That's the worst damn kundalini symptom. It always spasms hard just as I fall asleep, waking me right back up! So yeah I was tired as hell, trying to fall back asleep since it was still so early. But every time I just about drift off to sleep....SPASM!!! So i'm there laying in bed trying to force heat downwards but it doesn't work and I got up at 7 AM after laying there for 2 hours, agitated as hell. -

hey sloppy, thx for that detailed response. q for you: you said I'm assuming you mean flexing the neck forward, like you're looking down. Now I am not an expert on spirituality (I'm not even a practitioner), but don't you guys believe that stuff flows down the front, and up the back? So if I tuck my chin against my neck/chest wouldn't this block off the front, so it stays up in the head without a place to drain? -

hey Is MCO considered chi gong? I do this when laying in bed to help me sleep, but I do it one way only (from the top of the head down to the perineum, but never upward. And what I don't understand is why I have to keep doing this activity. I mean, if you send heat downward once, shouldn't that be enough? But I can always start from the top and keep sending more and more heat downward. It looks like kundalini sends it right back up automatically, trying to subvert my efforts. damned evil thing. -
dude u need to go to a real doc. ur having fever, that's serious and not some chronic fatigue thing, which is a bullshit condition. Read about chronic prostatitis. It seems to describe your condition somewhat better. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chronic_prostatitis/chronic_pelvic_pain_syndrome#Signs_and_symptoms

I'm taking a 2 day break from studying to see what happens. I'm also doing walks like others suggested. It should work. But damn, I'm gonna have to resume my studies soon, I can't just study one day on, one day off. You know what I've discovered so far? kundalini is all about "i can't" I can't bend my back too much (or else I get insomnia, twitching, and vibrating). I can't lift heavy loads (or else I get insomnia, twitching, and vibrating). I can't exert myself mentally (or else I get insomnia, twitching, and vibrating). I can't get too angry with ppl (or else I get insomnia, twitching, and vibrating). I can't stay up late at night (or else I get insomnia, twitching, and vibrating). It's like everything I do sends that energy crap up to my head I wonder if there is a way to totally block that stuff from going up there. -
Holy crap, this is like my 20th post in 2 weeks I have something for you guys.... A couple of months ago, I gained the very strange ability to create heat (or at least sensations of heat) pretty much anywhere in my body, just by thinking about it. It's not something that I obtained after devoted practice, on the contrary, I gained it overnight as a result of suffering from the "kundalini syndrome." And I can do it pretty easily too, at any time, instantaneously. Like right now as I type I'm heating up my abdomen. If I wanted to heat up my right foot I'll just think about it and instantly it will start to heat up, even if I'm driving or eating or doing something else. At first I thought it was just a useless curiosity, but I discovered that I can produce physiological effects by sending heat to the right places. Many of the effects are negative, for instance, heating anywhere in the head is sure to cause agitation and insomnia. However, heating in the lower abdomen seems to increase my sexual prowess, and heating up my left elbow makes me a little more tired, so I use it to help me fall asleep. So I naturally began to ask myself: What sort of physiological effects can I produce by heating up the various parts of my body? The body is large and complicated, with many body parts. Can I produce a wide range of effects by heating up the proper areas? What sort of effects can I experience? Is there a general guide to this somewhere, like a website or a book, that lists all the body parts, and says: If you heat up body part X, you produce effect Y ???? Also, is there a proper "name" to this sort of practice or meditation? I used to think it's the same as tummo but others say kundalini heat is different, and I'm still confused even after talking to a couple of ppl. Thanks.

The ppl who wrote the things you read have no clue what they are talking about. Numerous studies highlight the wide variety of benefits of physical exercise. This study, for instance, finds that http://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC3395188/ You only harm yourself when you do it too much. Like marathon runners, for instance, they appear haggard and old for their age. It's because of all the cortisol (stress hormone) that they release when they over do it. But several hours per week of strenuous activity is perfectly safe.

Damn man that's how I feel. Hell I felt more awake when I was healthy and normal, and now that I have to deal with this damn kundalini business I feel like I'm asleep, life is flying past me and I'm missing out on all the good stuff. yeah dude my thinking exactly -
Producing physiological effects from heat?
mike 134 replied to mike 134's topic in General Discussion
qi ball? nah I'm not able to do that, although I can warm up my hands though. nope. I just direct my attention somewhere and almost instantly there is warmth there. No technique involved whatsoever. On a skill level from zero to ten it's an emphatic zero. I'm not sure if it's real heat or just a perception of heat though, I'll have to buy one of those skin thermometers and test myself one of these days. I sure hope it's not real heat though, which would be bad. Yeah I think you're right. But my body is pretty stupid, it seems to generate a lot of heat all on its own without me doing anything. For months my heart has been burning up, and I have frequent bouts of heat in my arms and legs. I try to fight the heart heat by sending it downward, but I tried all sorts of stuff and it doesn't really work. I keep wondering what the hell all that heat is doing in my heart, surely nothing good. Damn krap-alini, always doing bad things to me. EDIT: is it true that everybody with kundalini syndrome can generate and direct body heat? I hear a lot about kundalini heat but nothing about ppl manipulating it like me. Seriously there is nothing to it, just focus somewhere and viola, heat! It's a no brainer. You don't even have to concentrate hard. Right now I'm warming up my belly but at the same time I'm also typing and eating dinner. Try it out folks!! Just avoid the head !!! -
Producing physiological effects from heat?
mike 134 replied to mike 134's topic in General Discussion
Yeah thx for reminding me of him. What he does is interesting but it looks like he is producing heat merely for the sake of producing heat.... to keep himself warm in icy temperatures. I'm interested in using heat to do other stuff. Like right now I have a lot of apathy; I'm feeling super calm with no anxiety, and that's great for public speaking or dealing with stressful situations. But if I'm trying to enjoy a scary movie then I want to tone down the calmness and be able to get excited and anxious again. So it would be nice if there were some area of the body, a center, a "chakra", or whatever, that I can blast some heat into, and produce those effects. -
Hey I just have a quick q re: chakras. I've been alarmed recently by apathy and lethargy and I've been frustrated and posting frequently looking for answers, and of course I attribute this to kundalini (all my problems have been caused by this). But yesterday I ejaculated and noticed that my semen was quite thick. This can be caused by many things (not drinking enough water for one), but is frequently caused by low testosterone and DHEA. Of course this can also cause apathy. So maybe hormones are (at least partially) responsible for this. I am 100% certain that whatever biological process is going on, which you guys call kundalini, messes up the hormones, and the fact that it is burning out my heart and limbs probably means it is changing my hormonal constitution. Maybe it's shutting down DHEA production in favor of some other hormone that I don't need. Since it looks like I can influence hormones by consciously sending heat to various parts of the body, I figure that I need to heat up the adrenals, which are responsible for DHEA production. The adrenal glands are quite high up in the body, lying on top of the kidneys. But a quick google search says that the root chakra is responsible for the adrenals. WTF??? The root? In the perineum? Really? That's way way lower than the adrenals. What is going on here? Shouldn't I be heating up the upper abdomen, where the "third chakra" is located, instead? That's closer to the adrenals. Or even attempting to heat up the adrenal glands directly on both sides? Thanks. EDIT: lol, my status says "tao wizard" now

quick question on chakras and adrenal glands.
mike 134 replied to mike 134's topic in General Discussion
Yeah that makes sense, actually, although it feels like its really far away. I tend to get them pretty quickly. Like if I twist my back too much I will have insomnia and quick thoughts that same night. I can also heat up places instantly, I'm warming up my belly even as I type this. -

Thx fo the links. This morning I was laying in bed heating up the perineum, it was feeling warm and tingly, but I don't notice any effects though. Maybe I should keep doing it every morning. Cause apathy sucks. -
downward/descending kundalini? how do you achieve this?
mike 134 posted a topic in General Discussion
Hi ppl, This post won't endear me to anybody here, but it's important to me, and I am 100% serious about it. I've been reading something called downward or descending kundalini. It seems like most ppl, especially ppl here on this forum, want their kundalini going up, because it makes you more "spiritual" and leads to interesting states like OBE's, NDE, and eventually oneness consciousness. But I hear that, under certain circumstances, kundalini can flow downward, making you materialistic and egotistical. This site, for instance, states http://www.rickrichards.com/chakras/Chakras1f.html Also, http://www.selfgrowth.com/articles/Kundalini_The_Serpent_of_Power.html and http://www.activemeditation.com/ActiveMeditations/DynamicStage1/BreathKundalini.html So the question I have is, is it possible to deliberately force kundalini to flow downward? How do I make this happen? I'm not talking about merely grounding. I want it to be actively going down. I actually happen to like lust, sex, and passion, way better than spiritual things. Anybody?? Thanks. -

hey thats an interesting perspective. I don't want to bring this up but I think its a good one to follow once ppl reach a certain level of maturity, or when the hormones are burned out. The guy mentioned Geroge Best as an example of how somebody who tried to live the material life eventually succumbed to his inner demons (alcohol). But I think that when you are still young and the hormones are raging it is good to take full advantage of this and live as liberally as possible, -
i was listening to this broadcast today by some guy named Rinpoche and he kept going on and on about how ppl should become vegetarians and he likened eating animals to an addiction. But if we weren't supposed to eat animals, why are they made out of meat????

Yeah I've been doing that, and I feel a little tingle at the tip of my tongue, although not in the palate.
