A nice moist piece of cake, not sloppy wet. Dare I say, "magic"?
-
Hard to say. If you say you felt energy, and it was unlike your regular body feelings, such as nerve pinching type stuff, then maybe it is an energetic blockage of some sort. I'm a bit hesitant because this localized ongoing severe pain is not so usual of energy problem. Have you tried acupuncture? Are you here because you simply want the pain to go away so you can carry on with your life, or can you comprehend that a program of stable meditation and energy practises will eventually unblock energy blockages, but also put you on higher spiritual ground?

Hi Christa. To continue from the Lobby post, you are the epitome of "The force is strong on this one." You are transfering your stronger energy to the people who you touch. It is not stopping when you take them with two hands, its just creating a larger circuit so you are less likely to to feel it because the energy has more area to pass through. (When you start healing people with the intent of healing them, and touching them, it may be nice to just use one one hand or fingertip so they do get a bit of a shock at first, so that they know its real, so their mind can be convinced, helping the healing all the more. But thats perhaps the future.) Note that if your energy is going to them, you are not hurting them, its natural that stronger, purer energy goes to the less strong. Their body will utilize your stronger energy and it will boost their immune system energy, and cure them of latent things and help them in other ways. So dont worry about giving them a shock. The other thing where you see your body is typical of OBE (outer body experience), or lucid dreaming type thing. Your mind creates a replication of your surroundings, and you think you are awake but really its a kind of semi-conscious dream, in Taoism we sometimes call a "yin body". You probably could find lots of testimonials of similar experiences on youtube. No biggy, its just a sign that you are evolving. But the energy shocking thing is a gift, and you can use it if you want. There's two basic types of bioenergy healing powers, the channelling energy type, and the using your own (lower dan-tien) energy. I'm guessing, though not sure, that you are the channelling type, similar to Reiki (hint:google Reiki) But since your ability is natural and so strong relative to others, you are going to have to figure alot out on your own, due to its uniqueness. But at the very least, look at books at bioenergy healing and other healers so you can get some basic vocabulary, and understand some of the similarities, as well as specific techniques, precautions. If you want to continue on PM, feel free.

I'd wager that you are a natural "healer", have an aptitude for feeling and projection energy, so you might look at the books in the field of healing qigong, start testing healing with intent. Some things you find in books will be relevent and useful, other things not. Books gererally deal with systematic type qigong, wheras your's is natural so you will have to find out about its nature by trial and error and testing. Sometimes it starts because you start noticing it more, or that you've developed spiritually enough that the energies become stronger. Sometimes its a gift from a higher entity and you did not know. I hope this helps. The prickly feeling is fairly common in qigong healing, it can also feel like static, or just some warmth. You might start to notice the faces of the people you come in contact with, see if they flush, or if they zone out, a sign that you are altering their energy.

Making ripples. Propagating the evolution. There's this saying that the teacher will appear when the student is ready. If we globalize that, we can say, when the human society is ready to evolve, a new "meme" or value system will grow out of the old one, and propagate throughout. It will have its champions, its poets, organizers, its critics etc. Therefore, teacher is teachers, and many can participate, if you so desire, if you are so driven. In a spiritual alchemy sense, the teacher that appears when the student is ready means the individual teacher appears, usually a high level "master", that will give some insight to how a student can progress on his spiritual evolution. Specifically that means refining the consciousness, allowing the subtle body and spirit body to purify: enlightenment, an open third eye that allows the apprehension of the totality, the "original" mind, the large Self. Evolution can happen individually, in little bursts, in pockets of people, in huge waves of societies globally. "hundredth monkey effect" suggests that trends propagate in some informational field of consciousness. A kind of visual metaphor would be like new behavior creating a colored cloud of energy, say pink, which bursts out, or if two people behave that way, bursts out larger than two individual bursts. When the "pink bursts" get many, the remaining people in society get effected. There tends to be geographic influences, as nearby people to the nexus of pink cloud bursts get influenced faster, but it also happens on a global level because the informational field does not have country borders. Everything being equal, there's this question of "readiness." How far or close a person is from making spiritual strides. Is a student worth teaching if they are destined to spend their lives chasing money and creature comforts such as typical of nowadays. But history shows if there comes along a big teacher, a trend setting movement, all boats are lifted. So the unready suddenly become ready, not because they changed, but outside circumstances changed. So here we are, students, connected by the internet in forums and groups, whispering to each other, creating the pink cloud bursts of evolution by sharing information: by researching esoteric teaching, practising, observing, reporting results and points of view. As we learn we are teaching, not always directly, but just by sharing. Sharing as much as possible honestly, generously, fearlessly. There's this little trap of the ego students often fall into, and that is sharing in order to feed one's own vanity. Being the expert. Assuming the role and getting the kudos. Chasing the validation. Craving esteem of others. Lifting oneself up by finding flaws in others, preferably an esteemed teacher. All of this can be avoided if one is just honest, humble, curious, cooperative, observant of others feelings, keeping a beginners mind like "the Zen mind." Beyond this trap is the wealth of all the information, support, guidance we need to reach our spiritual progress. But also, it creates the "pink cloud bursts" One forum post gets hundreds or thousands of views, it is not nothing. It actually propagates evolution in real-time. It is as important as it gets. There's this paradox. Students are warned against teaching because the don't have the insight. Heal thyself first, the sick can't heal the sick. And yet teaching or sharing is a method of spiritual cultivating. You gain by helping others. But due to the paradox, many of us stay on the sidelines, in our own separately created cosmology, that functions better without too many clashes with current mainstream value systems. Traditionally a spiritual adept forms a school and finds disciples to teach. Fast forward to the internet generation, and perhaps also the generation that can make strides in ushering in a more spiritual, global holistic society. This may be around the corner, or it may be down the road a few generations, but inevitably, evolution happens. The spiritual adepts in the past have shown us the directions it will take, this is not guesswork, it is bankable.Only now we don't need the schools or individual teachers nearby. It's all new and we need to think fast of the best form for the most effect. Friends, a lot can be done. The demand for esoteric knowledge is insatiable, but the stuff out there is often still too sketchy for a typical modern person to grasp ahold of. Things could be presented better, synthesized better. Reworked. What was true in the past for the mystery school disciples may not be true now. Things are more open, knowledge flows freely. There is no reason not to be generous, there is no reason not to be anything but completely honest. I want to galvanize what the way forward could be. We have experiences, so varying, so many interpretations, but there are common threads that we can count as fact. We have ourselves as raw data, first person examples. It's enough. The importance is the spirit of giving, the intent of helping, in some fashion. Preaching on a street corner perhaps does not work, but information spreading does, energy spreading does, evolution is on our side. This whole post is merely a characterization and example of a principle of conscious evolution.

Contrasting to a purer body of a high level cultivator, any energy pressure or event you or I might feel (or hear) could be construed as a blockage or imbalance, building up or unblocking. Blockages are many and this situation will not change until many years of cultivating, and even then if you are lucky. Even a very high level master still has blockages that dont allow him to the next level. Im just trying to demonstrate the point that anything is a blockage, and therefore the term is kind of meaningless, like suddenly saying "water" while you have been floating in the ocean. So thats why masters will have you just ignore all these things and to continue the practise that allows you to advance. I havent felt the kundalini surge that people talk about either, or I had all too often to even make note of it like others seem to do. I dont think your crown chakra is about to open, you are sounding like a thousand hopeful new-agers. Time will tell anyway, you are not going anywhere from yourself any time soon I hope, and I'd love if your crown chakra "opened" so completely that people and immortals gazed from afar at your luminosity. I agree with Gerard's post, and I believe he speaks with experience. You are not doing anything wrong, just keep doing what you are doing because the interesting phenomena is telling you that something is happening, and that something is your etheric body is evolving. Possibly the particular measures of mentally bringing energy down or brushing with the right toothpaste might be helpful in some way. You have time to try it all and make note of it for yourself.

I like the format of the little blurbs and mini-essays. Your prose is good too. I hope you continue writing about spirituality and one day create a very influential book. -
Medical (Qigong Healing, Clinical Qigong) Qigong Styles
de_paradise replied to Ya Mu's topic in General Discussion
Indeed. Some people think that learning skill and memorizing protocol are difficult, it may be so, but manifesting wellness is so simple? -
I learned Mandarin pretty fast and well due to my systematically learning via pinyin, and ignoring the characters for the first year or 2. Understand that the characters add too much to the learning, bog people down and thus make it frustrating. You will have enough challenge understanding the definitions and the grammer which are not so translation friendly as European language to European language. Also it is very important to spend a good amount of time learning pronunciation as exact as you can. The words are all similar, so in fact it makes it very easy when there are so many different things are all the same pronunciation. Also I would advise to learn in phrase context, not word by word. Learn pieces of phrases, and common structures, entire sentences, because when you inevitably make pronunciation mistakes, people can still understand you because of the context. Chinese is an easy language after you get the base and its super fun to speak and the Chinese are very supportive and patient.

Should Teachers Charge $$ For Teaching?
de_paradise replied to Stigweard's topic in General Discussion
If the student loves money too much, would that mean he doesnt deserve, or is not ready for teachings, tranfers, healings, support? If a student loves running around night clubs, does he have time to devote to practise? Its perfect, the students who are not interested stay away. You think a serious teacher would not test your path in some way? Are we starving Ethiopians? -
You can be running parallel to the path for some years without realizing that you are on it. But habits and inclinations are all indicators, so when I try to understand how close someone is to the path I look at their personality and what they like to do. So therefore many of us were always on the path just not realized it because noone with authority spelled it out in a way we could grasp, or we had'nt been able to piece it all together on our own. Yet we continue running parallel. So the story has no beginning except for the purpose of the anecdote. I guess I started in a pretty depressed state, even though I had a free wandering lifestyle, read and followed with ease the philosophy of Tao, even did yoga and Ba Gua. I still was not on the path, just running alongside. Then I had a breakup with my girlfriend, got a skin cancer, business failure, fell in with depressed people and filled my head with endless negativity for a year. In order to get out of that hole I turned to sexual desire and seduction, NLP, self improvement, hypnosis and back to Buddhist books and lectures. I spent a year studying and changing. In my remaking of my emotions and behavior, I dabbled in deep trance hypnosis where I had my first energy experiences and also a kind of Samadhi, and spent a week in some kind of beautiful enlightened state before the effects wore off. I tried to reproduce it but past the limits of hypnosis research I looked at Tibetan meditation and then once I had read the book by Bodri and Nan, "Measuring Meditations", boy I was off to the races. Kundalini awakened in a most incredible way. spent 2 weeks in an arm chair with my mouth open as an ethereal "team of dentists" drilled holes in my teeth, setting ethereal clamps, using drills I could feel but not see, keeping my tongue away, making energy channel connections.

Learning Qi Gong/Yoga/Meditation in Asia?
de_paradise replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
I second Gerard with going to Thailand first for the reasons he mentioned. Theres a short course in yoga and yogic path in the north of Thai www.pantrix.net that I can recommend, you cant go wrong. Plenty of ashrams and meditation courses you can find once you get there. If you need to go to india there is a website to google called India Mike with all the info you need. If it were me flying from London I might get a 6 month open return Air India to Bangkok with a stop on the return in Dehli, if that was cheap. Otherwise a one-way to BKK on el-cheopo and figure it out from there. A friend once went to a place called Wat San Mok in Surathani province, so you might look that up, to learn about meditation and dharma. If you wanted to learn Qi Gong in a China or N.East Asia region, you should take the English teaching route to keep your cash up. (hint: dont go to China) Travelling can liberate and detach you from perhaps alot of gunk already, so although you can learn all that stuff from your present home, travelling away can help you with your path. -
How to get into Focused Trance State
de_paradise replied to Everything's topic in General Discussion
I know exactly what you are talking about, I spent alot of my school hours in trance, didnt know I was doing it of course. Sometimes my teachers would say, "you look confused.", but it was really because my face had become so flacid and relaxed and my eyes glazed over. I was following, but in a trance. The best way to train yourself to go into trance is not by meditation, its by going into trance. What I did was read books about hypnosis and read hypnotic inductions to yourself as if you were reading them to someone else. Another good thing is to read RJ's speed seduction patterns, as if you were reciting them to a female. This will give you blissful sexual energy along with a really nice trance. After a while you will not need the inductions as a trigger, because you will be able to locate the mental/physiological triggers that send you into trance directly. But the inductions are always good to have. Let me know if you need a bibliography. Talking about going into trance is trance inducing, so you might find yourself already there. Its a matter of allowing yourself to feel those feelings, which are wonderful. In fact I think I will go there for November and December, since I am moving from state to state anyway. -
October 28, 2011, is everything different now?
de_paradise replied to witch's topic in General Discussion
I've noticed this too, there's a kind of anti-malaise, or just aise about the time now. It may be the fool just about to fall over the cliff, but since its his destiny, he whistles a tune while he walks. Exhibit A is http://finviz.com/futures_charts.ashx?t=ES&p=d1 where the financial markets seem to have just stopped worrying mid October, even though the situation is more dire than before, as we have Italy mathematically past the point of no return, the bail-out fund EFSF creating straw men to buy their bonds. http://www.telegraph.co.uk/finance/financialcrisis/8886380/Eurozone-bail-out-fund-has-to-resort-to-buying-its-own-debt.html Its like people now are in that slo-mo "oh well" lets see what happens when the elastic band breaks mode, except the worries seem farther away, less important. Everyone is so chilled out now, waiting for Christmas trees and merriment around the corner. This could be a massive change to the positive side too. Maybe everything is just different. I can only account for myself, my energy has opened wider, but then again its always doing that. Shifing and shifting. -
Someone should point out that this segregation subforum policy on TB's is leaving much to be desired in terms of active discussion.

Theres this other parable where a new ager wannabee yogi sits in Starbucks dressed in loose ethnic kind of clothing, and when asked how much she meditates, takes a sip of her latte and says that she doesnt need to, she only needs to be in the moment, and that anyway everything she does is a meditation.

I've been doing similar, but not during dreams, but deep meditation on the cusp of dream. Therefore you do not have to be dreaming or lucid dreaming to be able to do creative writing. Its just hard to reach that sweet spot of deep subconciousness where the verses pop up instanteously and easily. Too much intent or desire will spoil the broth, too little and you will not get anything done. I think the trick is to be composing during waking hours so the intent is there, and not having to be consciously wanting it to happen (because that will spoil the broth) when you are deep in meditation, and it will bubble up naturally. Its not easy to be able to meditate down that deeply either, it takes loads of directionless relaxing practise. Another thing is that you have to very familiar with the instruments or language you are going to compose with, a mastery. I can do songwriting verse, but cannot translate the instuments because I am not an expert at translating music to componant parts, only get the basic sounds and rhythm. Amazing enough, not Mozart by by a mile though.

I'm thinking of getting my MS in Industrial and Organizational Psychology!
de_paradise replied to DalTheJigsaw123's topic in General Discussion
I have some friends who have that Organizational Psych degree. When someone you know has made a tough decision and sweated out a program of study, you dont tell them that its another useless ass degree that I wouldnt touch with a bargepole, because god forbid you actually get hired as a company cheerleader to get maximum output from human inputs for the benefit of shareholders. You know, everyone has a unique personality, some people are like fish in water in this type of environment, and people around you would know that. -
I'll keep an open mind about Mt. Shasta. When I was a kid we went camping around there, didnt see any crystal palaces or high level beings, since if they are there, they would not be visible to a regular kid.

Beginner: Best way to accumulate energy?
de_paradise replied to lifezero's topic in Daoist Discussion
Accumulated is probably not the most accurate word, perhaps, having the energetic structure that allows higher energy conduction more accurate. You cant feel qi in other places because less sensitive in other places. Build up your energy by building your structure, but that happens naturally by any meditations, its a body that grows itself. Lots of practises, everyone has their favorite. I think doing a practise for an hour is better than 20 minutes hopping around. At the level you are at, which is fairly along the path, I'd go for mostly sitting to attain deep states. -
I've actually watched this 8 times already. I guess its Jenny vis-a-vis the ascended masters, and what they are doing and why, kind of gripping.

Genetic Analysis of the Ancient Basques
de_paradise replied to Immortal4life's topic in General Discussion
Ha ha, I remember AMOGing, from the old days in the field. My family's DNA was tested by one of those boutique firms, and though we are from Eastern Europe origins, we have this Basque haplogroup DNA as well. This will make my mom happy about the Atlantean link, I cant wait to give her the true history. -
A good practise is the waterfall type visualization. There are several ways (points of view) to visualize energy falling or wanting (pushing) to flow over you, or you receiving (willing) energy flow to the body. Can also be the point of view of the universe, just making an energy shift from one place to another, so that you are not so associated with your body. Sit with hands palms up, and also visualise the energy going into your bai hui top of head energy gate as well as palm gates. But it can just loosely flow too. This meditation is pretty common, because it makes use of the natural flow of energy or prana into a human body, and then uses one's yi or intent and visualisation to maximize it. Most people dont do it enough to really get into the point of view, but if you take the point of view of the prana itself, its very effective, if you can take the point of view of the universe and make the movie so real its like a lucid dream, then that is most effective. I can only do that briefly because the picture fades.

This is too limited a view of what or who a teacher can be, truths mixed with idealism, and a dash of level four dogma.
