Interesting. How to interpret what happened? Your present level of spiritual development/ karma got raised to a point where your past had to get raised as well. Notice its not something you did/wanted, but perhaps earned or clarified. Still its not deliberate tranmissions. Has anyone played with that? In one thread I remember a guy posting about how he sent healings to the past of people, had to do it multiple times but he said it worked.
-
I really didnt want to complicate it and make it all woo-woo abstract, but while making the list I came to that understanding. I think perhaps the essence of transmissions is missed out by reducing to cause-effect linear description. Clearly the teacher-student transmission is the one people are focussed on/want. But what if they are missing out on something bigger? Yesterday I put my theory to the test and meditated myself as a deity giving this human a transmission, and doing some kind of mental play of at once being the the transmittor/transmittee/everyone, back and forth, I am you you are me, I am your thought and vice versa. This is not a scientific experiment to be sure, but when I did doze off, I got into a dream-like state where I felt fairly beaten up. Interesting anyway. Can one transmit to oneself back in time? As far as blind evolutionary force, thats a term you can take issue with/deny, but I cant go further explaining as I dont have the patience. No disrespect meant.
-
Its pretty abritrary to draw a line because very likely there is a blind evolutionary force behind any and every transmission, even if it seems like it was free will and deliberate from a master. And that Master could say that he is merely a figment of your imagination and he would be right. So who transmitted what to who?

Thanks Scotty, I updated it. Is there something else needs altering?

So to sum up transmissions: I. Mundane 1) Interactions within the 5 senses--including eating vegetables, listening to music, data from a page, etc. 2) Purely psychic/energetic--just some qi interactions to affect the etheric body, (unconscious psychic transmissions such as thinking of a girl you like) 3) Being in the world type. As in reacting to the planets energy fluctuations, magnetism, evolutionary vibes, morphic fields and the like. II. Deliberately for Spiritual Evolution 1) Uncomplicated level or "dumb" qi emission for unblocking channels, chakras etc. From teachers, energy workers. 2)By a high level teacher. a. meant to supply the seeds to rewire your qi body through further practises, or the actual rewiring completed on the spot. b. meant to give a taste of what the high level is like (Apech7's resonance) c. through a dream, or higher level of consciousness to supply meditation instructions d. certain qi that is tucked inside photos or books left by a high level teacher. 3) Higher being transmission. (Ascended elders, deities, Buddhas etc, with an actual presence) a. recipient is unaware and if lucky can find out b. recipient is aware, but no instructions, must figure out how to use to advantage. c. recipient is aware and has instructions because its part of a school and facilitated by the master. 4)Nebulous inner mind type a. from higher self/past future lives b. metaphorical name for an evolutionary potential locked somwhere inside the mind (s) Notes: --effectiveness of transmission is often contingent upon the students receptivity, openness, spiritual level, karma, often described as "readiness" It makes one wonder how many times a person has received a transmission but not known, what CANT be classified as a transmission. I start to see life like those films like the 9th gate, where the main character slowly figures out that the entire plot is revolving around himself but he didnt know it.

Theres another dai ๅ which means stunned or tranced out, slow stupid. I dont think ไปฃ carries any humour either. ๅๅ=being in daze. For example, when someone makes a reply of epistimology versus knowlege, I will ๅๅ.

Being Skeptical, Logical, Rational And Critical of Teachers and Teachings?
de_paradise replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in General Discussion
A successful wizard can receive a new piece of information and integrate it in his belief system in moments. As Sloppy Z says, it might come in a dream or be so fast that if you blink you miss it. -
What is the goal of your practice? What is your game plan to get there?
de_paradise replied to Thunder_Gooch's topic in General Discussion
You are right Cat, its better described as a qualification. But its very important, otherwise it wouldnt be in the Upanishads. I suppose I knew I was making it look contentious when in fact it was merely wordplay. Its a "purer" level of desire, and in real time it is like inching ones way into an energetic feeling state that resembles the enlightened state (that blueprint must be somewhere accesible in our memory). I think you are right about being able to connect with that frequently means you have already arrived somewhere. Like in the example of a person who knows all about spirituality and practises but do not connect with the desire to become evolved, their frequencies from waking up to going to sleep are virtually all about day to day mundane desires, and therefore get almost nowhere during the practise that they do. I'll join your quest on heart, its been one of the things that has really amazed me in how important it is. -

"A person is what his deep desire is. It is our deepest desire in this life that shapes the life to come. So let us direct our deepest desires to realize the Self." (the Upanishads) I just copied that from that recent Jenny Lamb post. Although many here argue that you cannot find if you seek, I am of the opposite view. If you can manifest the desire, then you are manifesting the path. Moment by moment from deep inside your heart. -
Mark Cunningham, in his DVD recording "Thoughtcrimes: Marknosis in Taos" says something like, most people are trying to get rid of that nagging little voice inside their heads, but I want you to use every resource available, and use that little voice." He then lays down some techniques to reprogram that little voice to a tool that can help you. NLP and hypnosis might not be your bag, but thats how I did it a few years ago. Another good source of recordings is John Wingert. If you feel you are down on your back and already getting counted out, then a few isolated pieces of knowlege or techniques will not be enough. Back in the day I blitzed myself with NLP style stuff (Robbins, Wingert, Cunningham, Chris Howard,Tracey, James, Bandler, Erickson, Shelle Rose Charvet) and also Buddist youtube recordings, anything Dalai Lama, Alan Watts...the list goes on. The mind blitz technique works to reprogram your thought patterns. Letting go is something else. I have not been able to "Just" let go either, I feel that is just a kind of new-agey buzzword that they dont quite understand--but energetic practises like Kunlun has made it progressively easier, getting rid of the junk. It is a process, letting go and feeling qi washing through my entire body is different from a non-cultivator just laying down in the grass enjoying the moment.

From the heaps of interesting facts and pretty biased neo-facts, I don't find myself concluding that a big asteroid is going to smack the earth this year as he does. We get 5 foreign English movie channels here, and at any given time there is nothing but ultra-violence and fear on every channel, small wonder why some people see conspiracy everywhere, when their minds get poisoned on a daily basis. (just a fact, not an opinion, lol) There's this youtube video on the Denver airport, and there's this highly rated comment that says something like "why dont you yanks quit your feckin whining and do something about it" I was thinking yeah, go try sleuth down a tunnel in Denver airport, otherwise you're just giving yourselves over to negative apocalyptic fantasy. Its ironic how much horror is broadcast on mainstream tv, but when its in a medium they are not used to, such as oil on canvas, people baulk. They have not yet been taught how to react, so they react fearfully. Maybe they could start a facebook group "petition to replace the blue stallion with a pink hello kitty"

Yeah, my mom makes the same arguement, and she really loves plants. I thought I chose my words carefully to avoid making universal moral judgements when I said "Compassion to all beings is one of my core values, and I express that through vegetarianism." Clearly you can believe that not eating animals makes no difference and is not compassionate at all. But its not about being right or wrong, its the internal shift you get when you express what you think is compassionate. This is a fairly unusual way to approach ethics, but I have come to this conclusion by observing my own energies, and how compassion is related to spiritual evolution within my own physiology. The rest of what you said I dont get, but no need to explain, its nice enough just to type some words to people about a topic I care deeply about, and I hope thats good for you too.

Really nice. Thats the healthiest approach to Kundalini I've ever read. What is happening in our minds is key. In general I hear only desperate or reactionary people seeking temporary relief and to be unburdened of the responsibility of guiding themselves to higher ground. I am happy to see someone with a strong mind who is going with the flow of evolution. I stayed veggie as well. Compassion to all beings is one of my core values, and I express that through vegetarianism. Also, I try to go full throttle inasmuch as I can, and no, I didnt burn up like a crisp or go mental. The logic is very simple. In the lower levels of cultivation, there is much pain, cruder, hormonal swings, and only by refining your energy does it become more blissful. I know many people who dont cultivate actively and have awakened Kundalini, so they will be stuck in the low levels for years. Patience=long term outlook, ability to take suffering in stride as a positive development. Achieving full englightenment I imagine is not that easy, takes great sustained effort. I'm not saying I advise everyone to go full throttle, but you can if you have the mental resiliance. Why stay in the lower levels when the kundalini wants to help you evolve to a better place.

I really miss Kai Tak airport, like the plane belly flops into the middle of a city. I also miss the noodle shop on Hanoi Rd. that went out of business or moved.

Ah, if its just about being an attractive person, then pursuing Taoist practises, or other types of Kundalini awakening meditations purifies your energy body and you build a greater aura that is generally only unconsciously percieved. A big bright aura is very attractive!

I second this. You are barking up the wrong tree. What you want is some pop-psyche new ager viewpoint, to spin you a deluded fairy tale so you can get your jollys thinking about sex.

Lear, if you havent read the book by Bodri and Nan, at meditationexpert.com, the book is called "How to....Spiritual Progress" Its worth the price. You will get weeks of reading pleaure, and then you can come back to your forum post and laugh at it.

I completely agree JJ. I almost cried when I saw Jane's post met with such callousness, as if it werent an actual person relating their own private and painful experience. I think this (the TB's) is about as good as our society and age can produce. At least the right topics are being discussed.

Why do Angels, Gods, Deities, Immortals have weapons?
de_paradise replied to Spirit Ape's topic in General Discussion
To whack baddies, scare away the nonsense in your mental landscape. Symbolic of defensive power. Theres this case where Richard Bandler hypnotized this kid who was having nightmares about a monster. Bandler had the kid create imagine another thing that could defeat the monster, that would be on his side if he needed. The nightmares disappeared after. If I feel threatened while in some odd state, like I'm floating and vibrating away in some kind of dreamy OBE, and if I feel scared at some point, I will turn myself into Vajrayogini, who is an armed and scary-looking wrathful deity. Or just do the mantra. -
Its indicative of society, especially ONLINE interactions, not particularly this forum. Go hang out in a typical chatroom and you'll feel your energy getting drained in real time. Another thing I notice about all these characterizations is that they are pretty much universally true at some point or another, classic cold reading Barnum statements. Say, I took your palm, and pointed to a line and said to you "You are sometimes negative and when you are you are apt to complain about things. You hold yourself to high standards and find yourself criticising other people when they do not meet your standards, either in your mind or outloud. You can be sarcastic, but if someone gets under your skin, things might get ugly. "Ah, but this line means but actually you are not as strong as you appear outside internally you are covering a weakness, and you require resassurace. You need love, in fact, sometimes when you are alone in the cafe, you just want to stand up like a drama queen and say "love me!" LOVE!

So I was sitting there eating my pure veg lunch, and looked up at a buddha picture and noticed the swastik on his heart chakra. So Ive been trying to experiment with visualizing swatiks spinning, as in creating some kind of energy vortex, or visualizing the swastik on the heart chakra. A bunch of trial and error. Does anyone know any proper methods or if its just some kind of representational decoration that hasnt any purpose?
-
I used to believe that. But now I know for certain that psychic powers do exist. So how come large populations do not practise, why are they merely mythical? Why dont you just visit Ya Mu and have him qigong you? The door to proof is open. Go visit Max and ask him to blow your mind. Otherwise you are going to continue being ignorant.

Another theme I picked up from this story is that you got to where you are by using the spiritual path accessable to you at that moment. Its unlikely you could have at a young age even spent a moment on a holy shmoly boddhisattva-like course of meditation to reach enlightenment for the benefit of all beings. And in the end your compass righted itself. Is that by coincidence, or just how things tend to work?
