  1. Kunlun 1 posture for standing?

Just wondering...have those here on this forum that have "open Kunlun" tried and succeeded at grass gliding? How far does one get/ how fast? Do you just slide along with your heels up? This looks like a really cool siddhi, I saw something like it in the movie "Milarepa" where the socererer's son had the power to travel fast.
  2. Taoist Intensive Funds Request

800 bucks? How about this style? how about a return ticket to Hong Kong, China visa, bus to Wudang, Month in cheap hotel. And catch the master while he's just another guy practising in the park, not getting adulated over by Americans. And if you go with all your channels open, so you get respect, and deserving of higher teachings. Dat would be my plan.
  3. Bye Bye & Wish you all the best

Thanks for all the tips, and sharing your points of view. Quite rare and valuable to get straight talk from the real deal.
  4. Lots of chi channels and stuff in your head, not only crown chakra. Think of your head as a ball of filth, especially the skullcap area. The chi or kundalini spins and spins for a number of reasons, to gain momentum to clean. The best advice I ever got is: dont attach to it, dont worry about what it is or isnt. Let it come and go. Happy meditations.
  5. Would like to hear how others experience "Qi" ?

The basic qi feels like...whipped airy crystalized butter, that moves in a cool liquid-like flow with intelligence, as in acceleration/deceleration, and it chooses the flow path.
  6. Is the 100 days all you need?

Nan and Bodri seem to indicate its always inopportune to emit because there's always another level to be gained, but they mention no-leakage so much it appears to be some kind of complex. I just lost a big spooge emission in a lucid dream, I'm looking for the "retention is BS" people right now.
  7. For Clarity on Philip Toledo

When we arrive at beyond conventional reality, there seems to be two ways to go. One is to adhere to a tradition like Tibetan Buddhism, and start talking in terms of wrathful deities, dakinis and Naga realms etc. A convenient box to replace the old box. Another way is to patch together your own mind's naming system for phenomena and causalities. This later way makes you look nuts to everyone. So the aliens and earthing stuff doesnt bother me. However the egocentrism of certain comments, self-aggrandizing speech about not teaching to anyone, a weird presumption that an imposter would want his videos in order to teach it--that kind of stuff raises eyebrows. My thoughts on Max is that he has own morality and behavior. Its naive to compare him to your own standards, not only because of the level he is at, but because its presumptious.
  8. Most EFFECTIVE form of Meditation?

I mean noting insight practise of Sayadaw something, the Burmese Buddhist. There is instructions on Daniel Ingram's interactivebuddha site.
  9. je zeus?

Yes. Fasting in the desert is a useful Christian cultivation method; matching dubious inter-linguistic homophones wont get them closer to God.
  10. je zeus?

Perhaps a 40 day fast in the desert for these Etymologists would help them unstick their heads from their butts.
  11. Kunlun Europe

Yes, Im sure glad I had read the book, practised a month and read many of Mantra68's threads, and the Taobums discussion. This gave me the context and the basic FAQ's, so my little 7+-2 conscious mind processing could be devoted to listening to new content, rather than worrying about the transmission results or his dress. He was not teaching in a linear, module-like way, so I imagine the people who just stumbled into the seminar by chance would be hit with something quite beyond normal mental boundaries and expectations.
  12. Most EFFECTIVE form of Meditation?

In my limited experience, the most effective meditation seems to change with phases. Sometimes I can really hit nice empty states, but the next day or week the same procedure yields just rambling thought. Mantra in the morning outloud vibrates the system and often allows for a smoother, sometimes blissful day. I read that this is "steaming. " White skeleton I always get results from, you'd think I'd do it more often. I wonder if Yoda is still doing this meditation (as I read in earlier posts) Dragon fire breath seems to get things going when not enough is happening. Lately I've decided Bodri and Nan are wrong about micro-cosmic orbit circulation as being useless. I think that may be the case in the higher levels, but not where I am. As for Kunlun, I cannot feel the immediate feedback as I can for the others, I think because the energy is more subtle. I notice this forum people talk more about energy work rather than acheiving deep states. I wonder why that is. I also wonder if anyone here does noting practice.
  13. Kunlun Europe

Hey Jan, Oh, so you were the German guy who drove over. Well nice to have met then. Just to make the Americans jealous, it was a cool PAris location right close to a huge castle complete with drawbridge (Chateau de Vincennes) Class was 80% women. I flirted heavily each break. I had a list of questions that I asked Max and Chris personally--but I already have a new list since then. I'm pretty impressed with my progress those days, and time will tell if the practice will prove as fruitful as we think. Anyway, thanks to Max and crew for bringing the teachings to us in France. dp
  14. KAP Kundalini Awakening Process Dr. Glenn Morris

I asked Chris about the K and K mix. Its the Kundalini yoga practise that they advise against; the Kundalini awakening energy he said was the ideal situation, as the upwards and downwards meet in the heart. I feel two energies are working together in my case, like a mop and bucket of hot water go together. In Paris Max said Kundalini yoga practises should be done not the same day as Kunlun, so that is a much tempered version of what I had read on this forum.
  15. What is the Kunlun Energy

Does someone know how long the "charge" lasts in the body after a K1 session. What maximizes the "charge"?
  16. emptying or filling ?

YM, to be fair to us in the west, know that alot of us are just curious about siddhis and qigong powers because we have grown up in a society, where this kind of thing is a priori utter bullshit, madeup fantasy of unevolved societies seeking to explain the world without science. So people like me curious to know just what is the limits of human potential, what have we been missing out on. Of course in Hong Kong, virtually everyone takes belief in chi, ghosts, fengshui, flying masters who can do all sorts of tricks for granted. I just want to know whats real, and at that point can make a judgement if it helps or hinders. But I have certainly come across what you expressed many many times. Not to say its useless or redundant to assume the moral high-ground in another repetition of our puppet play of human existence. The Zen people with the swinging staff had it worked out better.
  17. Here's my opinion. Kundalini in some Indian systems is considered enlightenment, because its used as an inclusive descriptive word for many processes and states. Its not considered anywhere near full enlightenment in Buddhist systems. Kundalini for me is simply biological cleaning process, just similar to immune system responses, with various cells and compilations working together to clean the ethereal body. (even within this strict definition, people use the word to describe various levels of progress. A tingle in your spine is not opening your heart chakra) People use metaphors like snakes, fire etc because its difficult to describe, and therefore they latch onto some ancient nomenclature. The resultant phenomena, like headaches, vibrations, chronic whatevers can be considered positive developments given a long term view, and given the person is aware of the path. However most people are not, so they use the standard rule "if it makes me uncomfy, its bad" This rule is the start of hell. Theres many really pyschologically messed up people with the process half started and not completing. Some reasons are 1. society doesnt recognize what it is (this is enough for a person to deem himself insane) 2. hodge-podge information. theres this italian woman i know with awakened kundalini who is boxed in by negativity and dis-empowering beliefs. she has created her own cosmology to explain her own state. She has a doctorate, but her cosmology is rediculously illogical and fantastic. **Our minds are weaker than we assume. Our egos are more fragile than we think** 3.The more you research kundalini, the more bullshit gets passed into your mind as possiblitly. 4. Most people fail to let of of "their life" and relax, they dont meditate, or detox
  18. If you have a good teacher in your area so you can practise consistantly, you may get somewhere. They say you should have mastered already an easier martial art before bothering with Bagua. I was crazy for Bagua (Gao style of Luo lineage) at one point but my knees could not take the strain--twisting in the pre-heaven palm changes, and the wide stanced post-heaven forms. If you are looking for energetic ways to advance spiritually, then why waste time with fighting forms? If you are looking for a viable fighting system, then its said bagua will take about 4 years of applied training. And some lineages are more martial than others.
  19. You lost me at "whore".
  20. Do you make your bed?

Bed making is mainly self-delusion. Delusion you can put some order in this world symbolically, delusion that you "like" the symmetrical nature of flat rectangular items in your box of living space--its unconcious programming. There is something to be said about the efficiency of orderliness if we were on a navy boat, but we are not. So I think its more efficient to let it be.
  21. Angry Daoists

So far I have seen no true belligerant idiots on this forum, on the contrary, some people are just too darn nice so I think they are repressing something. I do enjoy the little spats, to see the emotions and hurt ego get worked into their logic. Its so predictable. Of course I check my own bitchiness too, because I want to know why. If I made an idealistic sweeping judgement kind of statement, I would certainly look into myself to see what I was reacting against, and how to phrase this kind of thing in an unobtrusive constructive way.
  22. kunlun ears

I dont know about Kunlun's particularities on this topic, but I and many people have experienced this kind of rushing sound which is chi rushing near the ear and inner ear, as it clears and unblocks the head and body. Even Jesus remarked on it: "That which is born of flesh is flesh and that which is born of Spirit is spirit, Marvel not that I said unto thee: Ye must be born again. The wind bloweth where it listeth, and thou hearest the sound thereof, But cannot tell whence it comes and where it goeth: So is every one that is born of the Spirit. " Common phenomena of subtle body cleaning.
  23. Treasuring the Three Treasures

I clench my teeth when I crap to not loose shen. I find the words "jing" and "chi" to be reductionist and therefore lead to confusion. Well, if you are happy with three varieties of stuff on this road of neverending refinement, then you'll probably be happy with next to useless descriptive words like "upward" or "downward" Even "treasures" makes me flinch, because I think of pirate treasure or Alibaba, not refined endocrine solutions and infintesimially small bio-particles that respond to thought. I still wonder what the circulating slime that washed through my mouth as my body got spiritually lipo-suctioned was, and whatwherefore.
  24. any ken wilber fans here?

I think we will see more of Ken Wilbur's type more and more, which is marrying Western sociology and psychological models with Eastern experiential direct knowing facilitated by meditation. This experiential knowlege is where the west has been sorely lacking. The Clare Graves/Spiral dynamics model has appealed to me since I heard of it, even though I know its just another sociological model, not the gospel--I use this model in life to understand the values and ethics of people I meet here and there, and I find it quite robust. Without an explanitory model, its easy for people to misinterpret the push towards spirituality not as an evolution rather a retrogression to religion and mysticism. This is a point I like to make really clear to people as I explain why I'm "into" spirituality and meditation, instead of social climbing and making loads of money. Wilbur seems to be an articulate cobbler of ideas. Its probably not important how enlightened he really is or isnt; or who he took his ideas from, its the direction that intuitively appeals to me.
  25. What is the Kunlun Energy

I think noone has answered because you seem to have had access to the explanations, yet are looking for an explanation beyond the explanation. I'm a beginner in K-1, but here is the explanation I observe. Lets assume that the earth has magnetic forces and gravitational forces, and they are acting on us in ways we are generally unconscious of. Notice how a compass only works when the needle is in the center of a fulcrum point; its balanced and needle easily moved with the slightest magnetic force. Well sitting on a chair, in the K1 position, notice how centered yet completley ungrounded you feel, so its akin to making yourself into a compass needle. So you begin to act like a compass needle by pulling in the energy, aparently from the ground. And that perhaps explains why its the feet that shake and bounce. Next is the psychological expectations effect. The first time I did Kunlun I thought it resembled the "tests" we do in hypnosis, where the subject is set up, tricked, to have the hypnotic expectations fulfilled, and once the subject sees the expectations fulfilled, he buys into the fact he is hypnotized--making himself in reality hypnotized. So iin Kunlun once you see yourself wobble, your mind tells you that there is energy making you do this--and this sets more conditions for the energy to actually enter you in a greater way. Therefore, this energy can be blocked or not allowed by the concious mind. The way this energy interacts with your body once you start becoming this little antenna for it, gives the results as you know.
