Kunlun Nei Gung and DNA mutation
de_paradise replied to Flowingthroughtime's topic in General Discussion
I like the junk DNA activation theory. Even ETHEREAL strands of DNA is scientific enough sounding to be more attractive than other theories Ive located. I get confused with Kunlun because up until hearing about it, I believed with all my heart that there was just one physiological route to enlightenment which has certain stages, as written by Bodri and Nan--who convincingly show that all schools of cultivation have certain steps in common. This necessarily included the step of Kundalini awakening. And Max is saying that theres another way to wash your vehicle, without the fire of Kundalini? So the junk DNA explaination is attractive, but it loses its luster quickly when you realize DNA is just a construct of something, and that something is also a construct...and so on. And so the word DNA is just assuring to those who want to stop there and look no deeper. So this brings me back to Alaya consciousness and little seeds and little habit and karmic energys that interact with the seeds. At least that is posited as the ultimate level, and its not necessary to tax ones brain further. -
Use this chinese simp. to English for blocks of text. http://world.altavista.com/tr For example: Luofu Mountain hole bead dazzling bright really day/("Yao" east, as soon as was "□"), between Guangdong Province 增城 Borrow the Luofu Mountain - Luofu Mountain also names the firewood mountain, Han Dynasty historian Sima Qian once compares with Luofu Mountain was "the Guangdong mountain". It is located the Chinese Guangdong Province Boluo County northeast part, stretches across Boluo County, longmen, increases the city three places, the total area more than 260 square kilometers, with is located within the boundaries of Chinese Guangdong Province Foshan Xijiao Mountain is the sisters mountain. Luofu Mountain's prominent peak is flies the cloud peak, the sea dials 1,296 meters. By the reputation is "the Lingnan first mountain". I'm going there in a day or 2, I'll see if I FEEL the POWER of the PLACE.

Facinating conversations to ponder. Interesting how a child's curiosity and wonder is that wide eyed look that is making patterns of the outside world in order to conceptualize it and differentiate things; whereas a Taoist's curiousity is the same energy but towards the opposite direction: to feel the oneness and patternlessness. They are zigging, and we are zagging. So I think we can refine the word curiosity, that, in Buddhist terms, a fundamental part of vicara and vitarka, that which can lead to prajna wisdom. Therefore curiosity is hugely important, yet the term carries too much baggage of samsaric associations. I speculate that what might be the raffination is something like the-universe-searching-to-evolve-ness. A species presumably evolves after many painstaking processes of trial and error, but something is driving this species to evolve, us to evolve, the universe to evolve. This word would be clearly void of ego. Yet it contains the propulsion force that would subsequently be translated in our minds as curiosity.

Mantak Chia's quest for cave is a quest for darkness and sheilding from solar radiation. He emphasizes darkness more than some kind of mineral energy vibe. In "the taoist soul body" he explains in pretty scientific terms--Seratonin, melatonin production of body, the thalamus gland resting, pituitary gland activated which can open the door to transcedental states. (simple paraphrasing) For me, the perfect cave should have internet access.

more weird chi-channel opening phenomena--can anyone relate?
de_paradise posted a topic in General Discussion
Lots of weird pasta shapes and straws and little tapiocas, winds, clamps, hard shapes, soft shape have come and gone, I seem to have an extra sensistivity to the chi channel clearing action in my head. None of the kinestetics that I feel regarding the chi are normal sensation of a person. So I sat and meditated again. And the weirdest thing of all appeared. A kind of squid, a messed up sea anenome came up the left tube and stuck around my left ear and skull. It was kind of part hanging out of my ear, and other tenticles were poking out of my face, and it was squishing around. It only moved around a little, so I was wondering, AGGGHHH WHAT THE F* IS THIS!!!!!!????? By the way, I can feel it, but nothing is actually visible to the eye, nor does my face contort in any way. What could it be? So I thouht. a. just another cleaning mechanism, like a mop with disposable zapper tenticles b. a whole lot of dirty chi, a big friggen multi-pronged glob of crap that was too big to be ejected from my ear, thus stuck c. some kind of alien or entity not of me. But then again, Zen says every sensation is a guest, while the true self (dharmakaya) is the host. So I just watched it and tried to clear my mind because if it was filth, then emptiness mind tends to blast it out faster. Did some mantra to appease my fears. So I went to sleep with this thing, and woke up it was still washing around, and has more movement, sometimes the tenticles break off and fall out of my ear, so maybe its just some kind of cleaning mechanism-mop-zapper-squiddy thing. Can anyone relate even in the slightest way? I must blast a hundred of small and large globs of dirty chi out of my head per hour, even when Im sitting in the coffee shop. So I thought people would be getting hit around me, and wiping their faces, like what was that? But no, for some reason the chi dissolves, like people have this force field around them. When the dirty chi hits the computer screen, it makes a noise, when it his the ceiling, it makes a noise, so its really there, and really ought to be felt by people. -

What you are asking me to do is akin to controlling the movements of my cells. It makes me laugh, it makes me cry. Your confusion is my fault because I used the existing but inaccurate vocabulary, and you interpreted it within your capacity. Do you have any IDEA how complicated these processes are? Watch this This is quite close to the flavour of the things. I isolated one little event in a chain of thousands to post. Should I put a hat on my head or look at my dan-tien? Nextly, isnt kundalini about cleaning your body? How did you imagine that happened? It means everyone who has gone through this has gone through the same thing but simply couldnt perceive it. Its proven you are dumping loads of crap into the universe but cant perceive it. Maybe its food for another organism. Actually I havent even reached kundalini stage yet, so this is classified as leading-to-tao-early processing stage varieties of chi. Its not even real chi, according to Bodri's book. Chi is an absurdly simplistic word, its like saying "guts" to describe everything in the body. or watching a team of firemen and saying "water" Drew, in fact there has been ripping and rice-krispy popping noises in head To be honest, I really dont know if these little airborne pellets are dirty chi, Im only using borrowed vocabulary due to extrapolation of the limited knowlege of these events. They are more aptly named, "isolated impurity with a coating of ejection-chi that are automatically dispensed by orifaces and nadis" One hit close to my ear, it sounds like frying bacon fat. Although there are several varieties of this stuff too, some feels like liquid. As for Mantak, if I had several grand to burn, I'd be staying at his dark-room resort. Anyway, I shouldnt write about my experience in the future as I get too attached and its agitating during meditation. -

The chi blasting direction I have little control over. Its part of the cleaning phase Im in, started 3 weeks ago. Im quite sure Im at a low level, just peculiarly sensitive to the endless cleaning manifestations in my head and I guess what is the nervous system evolutions. (not pleasant) No control over it, just like a baby watching a team of Nobel doctors. Anyway, today the weird little alien squid shredded itself on my teeth and became something like a tassel or pompom, raced around my larger channels in my head a bit, then the strands became hair thin. It then went through my skin looking for impurites, and lobbing it out of my head like rabbit poop. By the way, it mainly blasts out of the top of my head and forehead--like howitzers. I once saw a nadi channel diagram that shows these tubes but cannot find it. So after all it was, some glob of cleaning chi, my best hypothesis is that it had been chemically formed and congealed into that weird moulding shape, later it was pushed up to my head but too clumsy to move about until it refined itself. It was a relatively robust kind of chi because it seemed to be able to penetrate the skin at a level I hadnt experienced before. No drugs or secrets, actually I was hoping to get some answers. -

Heya. I generally stay in Shenzhen area for work reasons. So as long as its not so far away (3 hours max) I'd love to stay out of the pollution and overpopulation of the Pear River Delta area. -
A silly dream... probably not original

This brings up something I was just wondering about last night. It seems Taoists make no mention of this new age theme of "age of aquarius" or awakening and movement towards enlightenment of many many people in increasing numbers. Is it fanciful thought or is there evidence that this may be happening? -
Interesting, great post. Could you explain better, "the harmonization of the body is based on an abstract process of the logos as 1-4-5 nonwestern music intervals." ?

Chakras and Qigong? A bad mix? Or not?
de_paradise replied to yinwater's topic in General Discussion
IMHO, the point of meditation is locking the attention on something, single minded focus. So either focus on movement of qigong or chakra meditation is quite enough. Dont delude yourself that putting your mind vaguely on the chakra postitions will have some kind of magic power or will open them--they are just another thing to lock your mind with. How can you both focus on doing good qigong and also on your estimated chakra postions? probably it will contribute to the mind switching attention from here to there to there. But maybe not, maybe its a good meditation. Throw in the whole kitchen sink to focus on if you want. But if you cant lock your mind into stillness on all that, focus on a single muscle of one single finger is enough. -
My head is a spinning noodle making machine, but I can't seem to wrap my noodle around this question: What is the intelligence behind this cleaning energy (kundalini, or chi-channel clearing) It seems to me that people try to appropriate the effects of the enlightenment process by thinking its a result of this or that style of meditation, whereas the meditations are just a trigger. So what is doing this? How is it built into us but we dont know or seem to care? What is the intelligence of this level? Is it some droplet of shen? (My last post I asked why various kundalini awakening websites seem to view the process as a kind of bothersome affliction and not give straightforward advice to cultivate. Well I know the answer-- people are holding onto thier ego-built conception of their reality by conceptualizing kundalini as a kind of pesky ailment, or by leaving huge gaps in the logical implications of what kundalini means.)

Kunlun For Those With Awakened Kundalini?
de_paradise replied to Jimmerino's topic in General Discussion
Thanks for the info, its this kind of stuff thats so hard to find. I notice my urine is very yellow lately, I should be drinking more water. One day Im going to take issue with the word "grounding" in another post however, which is some kind of multi-definitional buzzword. What can we ground to anyway, if what we can grasp is just illusion? Bit of a catch-22 really. In my own limited non-guru yet fairly observant experience, I notice my body "charges up" with excessive energy when its about to blow through an important meridian or mai. In your case, since your shushumna is cleared, its probably working on the mai. If all roads lead there, then its there for a reason. Are you too fragile to deal with it? Why are people so tippy-toe in this? Of course it takes brains not to pychotically pump your stomach and visualize your head in flames, but what is wrong with energy? I must be just too new to grasp other people's experiences. A question: after the shushumna penetration which is the "kundalini attainment" ie. finish, what is the energy called? -
Kunlun For Those With Awakened Kundalini?
de_paradise replied to Jimmerino's topic in General Discussion
When you say "kundalini awakened" do you mean the energy is started and lingering or already penetrated the shushumna? I think your kidney attributed to kundalini energy messing with you is pure fantasy, it merely showed you the existing problem. How much do you meditate. I meditate lots and so even when Im not meditating, the trance sticks. This seems to me the way to keep the energy flushing the body even when Im doing worldly stuff. -
hi, im new to kundalini, and its been about 3 months since "it" started. if i didnt have the good karma to find taobums and subsequently bill bodri and master nan's book, i think i would be totally f***ed right now. ive looked on the net, the so-called kundalini info sites, and they seem to have no clue that its just a process of jing refining to chi and chi opening lots of channels. Most sites pay so much attention to the negative parts, spontaneous awakenings, lost, fearful, or delusional people, its like watching the disasters of the evening news. So my question is.....why dont more people actually understand and welcome this energy and then do the right thing to help it along? Also, at the moment, my experience is so weird, and i havent found any info that I can relate to. Lately for example, my body is being dredged by a kind of silky cuccoon weave, also my head is being penetrated and cleaned by little straws, and it gets ejected from my head like spent fuel rods, falling out of my ears, nose, and forehead. Well, wherever. Even though Bodri's book is pretty stingy on giving details for this low level stage, im fairly sure where i am in the process. Anyone know of other souces that one can trust? Next question, is that i am in Thailand at the moment. I see that Mantak Chia is respected, but it seems like his universal tao school is a high class resort for lifting cash off of new agers, not for humble meditators. Any reason one should go there in Chiang Mai? Regards

I'm on the hunt for books or articles that describe the process of wai qi, or healing and projecting qi energy. My searches on google seem to find only really basic articles still desperately trying to explainthe existence of chi, or you-can-only-learn-from-a-guru attitude stuff. Anyone know of a good database?

Hi All, I've been lurking around this forum and found it crucial for links and to fill in bits of info I cant find anywhere else. At the moment my body is going through a cleansing process (storm in a bottle), and I am in self-imposed more-or-less isolation in order to meditate without distraction. I do yoga, once upon a time studied Baguazhang in Taiwan, have only this year realized just how real this internal alchemy stuff is-- Due to meditation and a kind of luck to stumble upon the right articles and books. The internet is great, the guru-to-student system and secrecy is the past, its quite clear. DP
