Tai Chi Zen "master" david dorian ross
tao stillness replied to zen-bear's topic in General Discussion
The above 2 replies suggest that Terry Dunn's intentions were not understood. This does not seem to be to be a personal vendetta on behalf of Terry Dunn. Rather it sounds to me that this is coming from a passion for the martial arts from someone dedicated to preserving the purity of the art and therefore he probably feels a need to defend the treasure against thieves. I call that living by Te, virtue, a code of honor. Someone who cares enough to not let it go. The other attitude is that of, who cares if some people new to the marital arts get ripped off? Who cares if one tai chi teacher steals another teacher's routine? That's not my problem. I would like to think that chivalry is not dead. David Dorian Ross is not the first person to steal material from Terry Dunn.- 24 replies

Dorian David Ross indeed has a website! Need I say more?

A rose is a rose is a rose, by any other name is a rose! But in this case, the Dorian Ross species of rose stinks like - - - -! Does this thief have a website so we can directly express our reaction to the above posted testimony? Hey Dorian, look I am waving a middle finger, does this mean I too am doing tai chi?. You told the TV audience on your PBS dog and pony show that anyone who can wave can also do tai chi. Put me on your show so I can wave my middle finger directly at you and we will call it tai chi.

I just emailed my medical intuitive to test Zhineng Qigong to see how it stacks about against 3 other qigong methods that I am considering adding to the main one I am now doing which is Simon Blow's Longevity Qigong which tested as fantastic recently.

One of my spiritual teachers stated it this way: knowledge plus direct experience is wisdom. The meaning is this: We could be walking on the path one day and spot something on the ground shining. One man picks it up and it is a necklace. He puts it on and later decides those rocks are too heavy so he casts it off. Another man comes down the path later and spots the same necklace on the ground. He picks it up and he is ecstatic since he realizes he has just found a valuable diamond necklace! We need intellectual understanding of the spiritual experiences to know the value of them. The Vedas provide descriptions of the 7 states of consciousness so that we can recognize the signposts along the Way. But knowing the descriptions of the experiences is no substitute for the direct experience of each state. That is why I do not look to scholars to interpret ancient texts.
-
"Making the inside like the outside and the outside like the inside" I have also had a direct experience of that and those are the words I used to describe that state of consciousness when it happened 2 years ago after I was invited to a workshop teaching the use of Sound Massage from Germany where specially made Tibetan Bowls are placed on energy centers on the body and then tapped to make a frequency which travels thru the meridians and chakras, nadis, etc. The teacher demonstrated the bowls on me and I got up from the table experiencing total peace of mind and total peace from whatever environment I was in for the rest of the day. So once again, these descriptions of higher states of consciousness are not understandable by the thinking mind, they can only be understood by being in those higher states. There is no digging for the meaning, no trying to intellectually figure out what those words in those spiritual books symbolize. You are having the experience, so you know. And it seems from what some have described about their experiences from Flying Phoenix, that they are "knowing" what qigong is about.

Sifu Terry, Chapter 16 of the Tao Te Ching is a perfect picture of not only Oneness Blessing mechanics, but it also portrays the mechanics of Transcendental Meditation. In TM one uses the vibration of a silently repeated mantra to activate specific brain centers which result in going beyond thought to the source of thought ("mother of 10,000 things"). This is the stillness that is described in all spiritual literature/experiences of mystics, Awakened/Enlightened Beings. It is pure Consciousness or the Absolute, the vacuum state or quantum state of the Unmanifest aspect of life which has no physical form but contains the potential for all manifestations, in other words, the Absolute gives rise to the changing relative aspects of life, material objects spring forth first from Consciousness. In TM one transcends the changing relative to reach the unchanging Absolute, this is the ground state of life where all is in harmony and everything at this quantum level is connected to everything else in life, hence the literal experience of being One with All. That is true Oneness produced by a physiological change in the wiring of the brain. TM eventually does this as is shown in many EEG studies since the 1970's and currently. Oneness Blessing of Sri Bhagavan makes this happen much faster. But brilliant to find the most corresponding description in chapter 16 of the Tao Te Ching. Lao Tzu's lesser known work, "Hua Hu Ching", describes Oneness in almost exactly the same way as Bhagavan does. It is mind blowing to read this. The truth is universal. This knowledge comes from direct experience of higher states of consciousness from purifying the nervous system. There is no dogma or philosophy to this, just correct mechanics of working the human nervous system. Your blissful reaction says it all.

Hello Sifu Terry, I enjoyed your shared experiences with Oneness/Deeksha/Energy. If you have made some readers curious about that energy, the best way to experience is to go online to Oneness University and get the schedule of live worldwide Oneness Meditations called OMs conducted by selected Oneness trainers who transmit the healing energy thru their eyes. The viewer just looks in the trainer's eyes, that is all that is needed and that energy then PHYSICALLY and LITERALLY rewires the brain to advance toward Awakening of consciousness which is the goal of human life. However, not everyone experiences this Oneness energy the same. The same as experience of Flying Phoenix energy. It all depends on the condition of the individual nervous system and the energy channels that are open or blocked. It is said that regardless of what one experiences from the OMs, even if it is just boredom, it is still working on the brain. And I again second your statement that the experience of chi from Flying Phoenix is unique. By now I have tried probably 30 different chi kung methods and only Flying Phoenix has produced this tangible cloud of energy that my hands cut through while doing some of the movements. At times doing Monk Serves Wine meditations it has felt as if my hand was resting on this cloud/pillow of energy which effortlessly supported the hand and I would actually have to softly push thru it to finish the movement. And I am generally very insensitive to subtle energies so this feels like a big deal to me when it happens and it only happens during Flying Phoenix Chi Kung. One other interesting observation. The correlation of descriptions of Oneness found in the Tao Te Ching and from the Avatar Lord Krishna in the Bhagavad Gita, and the current avatar, Sri Bhagavan in southern India are so beautifully and precisely also described in another book attributed to the writer of Tao Te Ching, Lao Tse. It is called Hau He Ching and is translated by Master Hau Ching-Ni. The book is a dialogue of questions and answers between a sage who is Awakened and a highly evolved prince from ancient China. The questions and answers reveal the differences between an Awakened man and the general populace of the unawakened. Mind blowing how similar the descriptions are to that of Bhagavan's teachings. Quite a blessing to have an avatar on this planet once again.

I have posted this info previously. There is a female chi kung master called Qinway who sells chi infused teas that I have used and they do not have caffeine but supercharged me when I hardly had sleep. I tried this multiple times and had great results each time.

Mushin and Satori with Tristan Truscott
tao stillness replied to coyote's topic in General Discussion
I just began learning Tristan's Satori Method Good Morning, Good Evening Qigong last night. High quality dvds and good teaching, unlike other qigong dvds I have. My medical clairvoyant tested this form and told me it is so powerful in clearing out chakras that it would release too much stress and I would feel terrible. He advised to continue my current qigong method and wait 2 years before doing Satori Method Qigong. At age 67 that would be a long time to wait. I am learning it in spite of this warning since they teach in small steps over a 4 week period so I hope in that way to avoid the overcharging of energy that I was warned about. Tristan even states that on one of the online ads for this method, that the gradual learning of the method prevents overcharging of the energy. The method is easy to do. -
To second what Sifu Terry said. I have a friend who like me does Transcendental Meditation for over 40 years on a daily basis and when he dabbled in doing some Flying Phoenix right before he would meditate he said he went deeper in meditation.

I just once more realized the specialness of Flying Phoenix Chi Kung method after checking out yet another Qigong form. This one attributed to the Yang family of Tai Chi fame. This is promoted by the well known author Stuart Alve Olson via his dvd and book called, Tai Ji Qigong. I wanted to explore it because it is very brief and that would fit my lifestyle where I have very little time to do chi kung. My medical clairvoyant pronounced it as "Wow, this is super powerful for releasing Kundalini." I tried it for a week and had to force myself to continue. Easy movements but it just did not feel that enjoyable doing. Then I read the book that comes with it based on the Yang family secret document which was published in 1936 without their permission. It describes in detail the breathing methods that must be done with this qigong form if you are to have the benefits. It would take a total obsessive-compulsive perfectionist personality to even try to learn the complex breathing involved. We then compare that to the simple pre-posture breathing that Flying Phoenix uses which results in no trying to direct the chi or the breathing while doing the postures. A world of difference and one more major reason to treasure this system. I have added Tai Ji Qigong to my pile of discarded qigong dvds, never to be tried again.

Integral Taoism. Heaven / The I Dimension
tao stillness replied to shenchi's topic in General Discussion
Anyone know the lineage of Tina Zhang's new Three Treasures Qigong? Even if a current Qigong master creates their own form, it is my experience that it can be very effective and just as healing as those from long family lineages. Great Grand Master Kellen Chia in Australia and his own Immortal Ten Qigong is just one example. If someone has a high enough level of chi, they can create a qigong form he told me. -
Tina Zhang has a very good lineage and my medical clairvoyant tested her Three Treasures Qigong and he found it to do some specialized things in the solar plexus chakra region for energy which will really be good for health. So much so that he found this method tested better than the other 2 qigong methods that he found to be very poweful and healthy for me recently. So I will soon be doing The Three Treasures as soon as the DVD arrives. She has a really graceful dvd clip of her doing some of the Three Treasures Qigong. And reading about Frank, he is a pioneer in energy art.

What is your favorite Qigong System and Why?
tao stillness replied to Raymond Wolter's topic in General Discussion
To Adept, I wanted to do Fragrant Qigong and even bought a dvd of it but I then had my medical clairvoyant test it and he said it would not be good for me. -
Ridingtheox, Yes, we Americans do not even speak some English words correctly. We do our own thing.

Yes, the site was recently down for a brief period and then presto, Taobums is now Daobums. I have never liked seeing Tao spelled as Dao for some reason. Yes, multitudes mispronounce the D sound as T sound, but that still is no reason to change the spelling. Just my personal like and dislike. As for the question of meditation, Transcendental Meditation reaches the goal of all other styles of meditation right from the beginning because it takes the person automatically to the silence between 2 thoughts and that is considered the source of thought, silence, as all musicians have experienced. It is the vacuum state of Quantum Physics, the Absolute, Pure Concsiousness, Sat Chit Ananda = Absolute Bliss Consciousness, Pure Awareness. No concentration, effortless and no boring sitting on the surface level of the mind. It is deep. Before TM I tried Zen where you just sit, and I was bored to death just being on the surface. All the good stuff happens when the mind is silenced automatically with this method. I do not achieve this state of restful alertness from chi kung, I do chi kung primarily for health and for opening the higher chakras for spiritual purposes, intuition, etc.

My medical intuitive tested Winn's Primordial Qigong to see what it would do for me and he reported not much. I have recently requested that he now test Master Chen's Wudang Hun Yuan Primodial Qigong.

As one who was trained by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi and did Transcendental Meditation for over 40 years every day, and has trained under a living avatar, Sri Bhagavan of the Oneness energy movement, and one who has done past life therapy I can say that anyone who disbelieves in reincarnation just has no understanding of the journey of the human soul. With all due respect to Waysun Liao and those who believe everything they read. To be called a master in tai chi or qigong does not mean that person has mastered a true understanding of the human condition.

The tea has been shipped from Hawaii which explains the shipping costs. Whoever chooses to try this tea, please use is exactly as directed for the best results. I bought one of her gold plated statues of Kwan Yin that is charged with Master Qinway's chi and placed it on my bookcase and the first day that I had it I took a nap with my head facing the small statue. I experienced waves of energy flowing onto my crown chakra. Only happened once, but it was real and a unique energetic experience.

As for the tea, I inquired and was told it is just top grade tea. However, if you are looking for a tea that has been infused with very strong chi that you will feel immediately, I suggest that you look at the Qinway website. Several years ago I bought that tea and was amazed because there were some nights when I had to go with very little sleep and then next day I used that tea as directed at work and felt energetic and did not feel tired at all. I tried that on multiple occasions of losing significant sleep and always got great results. Before ordering the tea I had my medical intuitive test the product and he reported that all of her products have Divine energy in them.

I know that some people on this forum try various chi kung methods in addition to Flying Phoenix. I just want to alert you to a situation that I encountered this week. I ordered Wu Wei Qigong from the China's Living Treasures. Before ordering I had my medical intuitive test it and the results came back great. However, when I viewed the dvd yesterday I could not believe what I was watching, it was an imitation of the famous and extremely popular Falun Dafa/Falun Gong by a different master. So I have written to the distributor trying to find out who stole from who? Master Li brought/ created Falun years ago but on this Wu Wei dvd it is well known Master George Xu doing the movements. The Falun dvd costs $15 or you can view it free online. The Wu Wei dvd costs over $50. So just a warning in case anyone has any intentions of exploring Wu Wei Qigong. You can see a German master performing clips from it on youtube and even though he speaks in German, you can hear him clearly say "Falun Gong" at times as he demonstrates the movements.

Thank you Ace for the appreciation. I have benefited from this post immensely. So much to choose from in the world of chi kung and that is also so apt for Flying Phoenix itself.
