  2. I just stumbled upon this post and I am blown away because it echoes an experience I had last night. Earlier yesterday and into the evening I had been exchanging anger filled emails and texts with an ex-girlfriend. I then did some Blossoms in the Spring Qigong which I have been learning for the past week. She then phoned and was expressing all of this anger with some profanity. However, this time I was in this really good emotional space from the qigong which had produced relaxation and inner peace so I did not feel angry at her at all. I just hung up the phone to enjoy the inner peace that the brief qigong practice had produced and that was the end of the feuding, on my part. I had been carrying resentment toward this woman since we broke up on Labor Day and then just like that it was transformed by qigong. So 4bsolute is giving wisdom filled advice for those who have ears to hear.
  3. Wuji Qigong and Wudang Hun Yuan Qigong

I would like to underscore Spirit Ape. I was considering getting Winn's Primordial Qigong based on the hype from an impressive online website. But I had my medical intuitive test the dvd before ordering it and he told me there would be very little benefit in doing it, so not to bother. The same advice for John Milton's dvd. It's not so much who is doing the form, it is that doing the form does not do much in terms of benefits, regardless of who is teaching it. If you want chi and benefits then consider the lineage of Spirit Ape where the Grandmaster is Doo Wai for Sunn Yi Gong and Flying Phoenix Heavenly Healing Chi Kung. If you want to see correct form go to youtube and you will see Spirit Ape under WarriorbodyBuddhamind.com.
  4. To Gerard, I believe the correct translation is grains as it stands and not meat. It is known that grains cause inflammation, especially wheat.
  5. Flying Phoenix or Blossoms in the Spring?

I have done Spring Forest for 8 years and strong chi is felt soon, but for healing health issues the best I have tried is the very simple and quick 20 minute Pangu Mystical Qigong. It does what it claims. For instance, I had a serious respiratory virus last year and it was not getting better until I was told to do Pangu Mystical Qigong for hours. I did so and the symptoms were 90% improved over night, just as Pangu headquarters had told me it would be. I have really enjoyed doing Flying Phoenix Chi Kung for the past three years and the only drawback to it is that it has 6-7 dvds and as stated in the above posts, just one meditation can take 20 or more minutes to do since you feel stronger chi flow the slower you go. So you really do need to have a lot of spare time to do that system correctly. Therefore I prefer the shorter but powerful styles which can be done in 30 minutes or less such as Pangu, and all of the dvds of Grand Master Kellen Chia of Australia at taichisociety.com. His latest release and most powerful of the series is The Immortal Ten. Simple to learn and strong chi flow can be felt. I am in my second week of learning Blossoms in the Spring and that is another one that takes very little time to do and is easy to learn. Another brief one is Sunn Yee Gong Complete level One which comes from the same grand master who taught Flying Phoenix. The short moving form on that one feels really good to do. Qinway Qigong is also powerful and does not take long to do. My so far brief exposure to doing just the first of the 3 sections of Blossoms in the Spring is that it does indeed produce a state of relaxation that to me resembles the feeling of relaxation that comes from doing a deep meditation practice and you enter that state quickly with Blossoms. Yi Gong is a very simple sitting posture qigong which can be 20-45 minutes and it produces a golden liquid like energy that fills up the energy body per my medical clairvoyant. It is one of the powerful methods he has ever tested. My lifestyle requires only short and simple chi kung methods.

To the fool, That sounds strange writing that, LOL. Before doing the Sleeper I do another style of chi kung. All I do after the Sleeper is sleep, LOL.
  7. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

That sounds like a good question for Sifu Terry to answer, why someone would not be able to fall asleep easily after doing the Sleeper. I would wonder if these sleep problems also happened before trying Sleeper?
  8. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

I hope you don't give up on the Sleeper. I have dozed off a number of times before even completing the entire number of reps for it. I have really deep sleep from it. And the slower than slow pace that you do it, the stronger the energy from it. It eventually feels like your hands are pushing thru a cushion of thick air, there is noticeable resistance. The problem with that slowness is I also am eager to get to sleep on time so I don't want to spend that long doing it, so it is a trade off. A more disciplined man would just go to bed earlier and that way he could take his time doing the Sleeper.

I have always managed to find time to do 2 FP meds per day regardless of what else I do. That will always be the case I hope.

To answer Ronko's question as to how I experienced Taoist Elixir Method. Like learning any new chi kung method I am getting the movements down so my mind is very active so the body is not relaxed like it is once everything is memorized. But in spite of this normal learning curve I felt relaxed after the first session, not really wanting to speak or think, just sensing strong chi gathered in the hands. It will take some getting used to doing this movement while in the low horse stance. And then to watch Sifu Terry do the movement in this effortless, smooth flowing style was really something to behold. I have been told by my medical intuitive that doing this TTP will be better than doing any of my other chi kung methods.

On November 18 I had a Skype session with Sifu Terry Dunn teaching me the Taoist Elixir Method. It was an honor and a thrill for me to be able to interact with a master whom I have admired for quite awhile. Sifu Terry is down to earth and he made me feel at ease immediately as he teaches in a gentle and patient manner. His senses are acute which result in receiving corrective feedback which makes everything go just that much better. You just come away from that experience smiling on the outside and from the inside. Quite the experience which I look forward to repeating in one week for my second session. If any of you have thought about having a session with this master, I would not hesitate to jump at the opportunity. You will be glad that you did.

Back to the blue light special... Last night I was teaching the Immortal Ten Chi Kung to a class of nursing students at a local college which I do each year. The dvd of this master doing the Immortal Ten had a very pronounced outline of blue light coming from his white top and it was also around his throat and hands. I had not noticed this when I play the dvd on my laptop but last night we used a big screen and it was clearly there. I plan on emailing the Grandmaster to ask about this.
  13. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

There is no sarcasm. Simple, meaning set up a video camera and there you go. My desire to see this comes out of curiosity. I have no doubt that the claims for FP eventually producing blue light are true.
  14. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

Great request, to see these videos of the blue light. That should be such a simple matter to do.

Static electricity, which can be seen when you pull off a sweater or t-shirt on a winter night, also is blue. In the 1970's I had a pyramid tent made of a wooden frame in a smaller scale of the Great Pyramid in Ghiza and it gave off pyramid energy. When I sat in it and put my fingers one inch from the frame, sparks of blue light emitted from my finger tips or from the frame, not sure which. When my dog was in the pyramid with me I could see a blue aura around her paws as she walked around. And as I meditated with my eyes closed I could feel exactly where she was when she moved because her energy field touched against my energy field when we were both in the pyramid. If you recall the Kung Fu tv series of the 1970's you may recall how blind master Po could always sense grasshopper near him. It was because he could feel the energy field, the chi, the orgone, etc.

Michael Milner in Tampa FL teaches TTP of Master Lew K. Share in weekly classes. He has offered to teach some things on Skype but he is so busy that he is unreliable to follow up on this Skype version I have found.

I had ordered GM Doo Wai advanced meditations from Dan La Rochelle but most of them are useless since they are demonstration videos which DO NOT break down the movements so that you can learn them. I have posted this warning before. They are complex movements done in real time. They are all very expensive dvds. And I will sincerely state this once again, I have watched many chi kung dvds just one time because the teaching is so bad. Based on this experience I am confident in forming the opinion that no one teaches chi kung as well as Sifu Terry Dunn. It is just a guess on my part that GM Doo Wai made those videos for his students to use in case they wanted to teach their own students. I was told by one of GM Doo Wai's students that GM charged his students a fortune for some of those demo videos, as much as $10,000, and that is one reason Dan La Rochelle charges what he does. I think someone like Terry Dunn or Garry Hearfield could probably eventually learn the movements from those dvds, but it is unlikely anyone else could master them unless you had software to play it slo-mo and wanted to watch it over and over again like some people have done. I could not even learn the moves when I used slo-mo. So buyer beware and I would be glad to sell my Doo Wai collection to anyone who does not care about heeding this warning.

The bear trap begins when someone who is American and very young calls himself, Supreme Grandmaster. And the man who runs the publishing company that prints his dvds seems really unstable as seen by his rant on YouTube, his fake name is Ashida Kim. It's sad that such a valuable healing art like chi kung is not spared from greed and delusional people feeding their egos and bank accounts.

If you wish to see charlatan chi kung just do a search engine for SRC4U and download the free software trial that will send chi to any condition. But do this experiment. Put in the info and it will give you the hours you need for a session. Cancel that session and put in same info and it will give you a different amount of time for that session for the same person and the same condition. To me, this means it is just a random thing, in other words, fake! The creator who proclaims himself as "Supreme Grandmaster" replied to my objections about this randomness stating that the software measures over a million variables by reading your energy field. Sure!
  20. Grandmaster David Harris

Just decide for yourself about Ashida Kim by watching the video where he goes into a rant over people republishing his books under other names. His facial expression is hilarious as he simulates this rage while he threatens to prosecute people distributing the pirated books even if they are sold at flea markets.

I want to comment on Sifu Terry's remarks about wondering why there are not many more threads about other chi kung methods. My guess is that from my experience in attempting to learn more about the other chi kung methods that I have tried, I have found that very few of the teachers who produce chi kung dvds take the time to communicate with people who are not their paying students. Sifu Terry is a rare exception whose dedication and passion for the ancient art makes him want to take the time to teach all who embrace the magic of these ancient internal arts. The way he answers in great detail is a reflection of this.
  22. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

I appreciate your reply Sifu Terry. When I stated that there are subtle differences in the energy between the 2 systems I should have clarified that it is probably only subtle because I am not yet sensitive due to my energy blocks to really discern strong differences in how energies feel. Pardon the bad grammar. Steve

Oneness Blessing is said to be good for healing addictions as it rewires the brain. "The mind cannot heal the mind."

To JDR19, Very good questions. I have done some of the FP dvds and I have done level one and two of SYG. The meditations on SYG take less time to do and there are less of them to do than for the FP series, and the SYG require less movements to learn for each meditation. The subtle energy also feels a bit different between the 2 systems. Both are fulfilling and compelling to do.
