To riding the Ox: you are not sleeping well even after doing what Sifu calls the Sleeper from vol. 7?
  2. Flying Phoenix Chi Kung

I have done yoga pranayama, alternate nostril breathing every day for the last 39yrs as an optional part of the TM program as it settles down the mind before meditation and it does do things with energy channels. But there is no comparison with what I experience from Chi Kung compared to pranayama. And the Oneness movement from Sri Bhagavan does some very heavy, intense pranayama for kundalini which I have done and refuse to ever do again due to it being so uncomfortable and torturous feeling. If it feels bad, I leave it out of my life.

Sifu Terry, I am posting my medical clairvoyant's test results on what he has perceived with his heightened consciousness about the effects that Flying Phoenix Chi Kung DVD volume 5 meditations have on me. I would appreciate if you could comment on his perceptions based on your personal experience with these particular meditations. White Crane Folds Wings----would help clear stress from the heart chakra and the left hemisphere of the brain. Phoenix and Dragon Play----would help to clear the nervous system especially on the left side of the body. Lift Earth to Heaven-----clears the lower chakras so the energy can rise. Dragon Emerges From Cave-----opens heart chakra and moves heart energy up into upper chakras in head. Preparation for Eight Sections Combined------Enlivens the Kundalini energy and gets it moving upwards. This is all good stuff. Besides what is going in the body there is some subtle energetic action happening in the subtle bodies with all of these. Powerful. Eric has the gift of literally seeing into the body and energy bodies and he is then able to diagnose health issues and suggest natural remedies mainly in the paradigm of the oldest health care system in the world, Ayurveda. I have consulted with Eric since 1998 and I can vouch for his uncanny accuracy. One of the main reasons I chose to do Flying Phoenix Chi Kung is because of what Eric saw FP doing compared to the several other chi kung styles that I had him test over the last 6 years. And he has tested some very good chi kung methods but none compared to Chi Kung passed down from the Grand Master Doo Wai lineage. So I think that anyone who somehow has stumbled upon Flying Phoenix can consider themselves truly blessed or just plain lucky.

Tai-ji Cat, You mentioned Spring Forest Chi Kung. I have been trained in that method by Chun Yi Lin in person and I have been doing SF at our mental center for our daily chi kung group with clients for the past 6 years. I find that doing Flying Phoenix has noticeably increased the sensation of chi in my hands while doing Spring Forest.

Sifu Terry, I read your letter to the Plum publisher about raising the prices on your DVD series for Tai Chi. I would support you raising the price also on your Flying Phoenix DVD series considering what I have paid elsewhere. I have from one of GM Doo Wai's former students a DVD of GM demonstrating some advanced non Flying Phoenix chi kung meditations and I paid $300 for that one DVD called "690 AD Doo Family Chi Kung". It predates FP being taught to his family by 1,000 yrs. You most likely have seen this DVD. The quality is amateur, and as I have said before on this thread, GM on these DVDs that I have seen does not break down the movements, he merely demonstrates the movements without any teaching of them. I was willing to pay this price gouge based on the test results from my medical clairvoyant. It turns out that the moving meditations are so complicated that I cannot even possibly begin to learn any of them. There is a second part to the DVD which has a series of static meds which I was able to easily learn. So your FP series is actually very underpriced considering the professionalism that went into it and the detailed manner of instruction that it contains. And I have owned a number of other chi kung dvds over the years and not one of them is at the level that your series is at. So kudos for a job well done and how fortunate we are as recipients of your generosity.

Another surprise benefit from Flying Phoenix: I had been doing Sifu Jenny Lamb's static neigong called Yi Gong where the body parts spontaneously just start quivering and shaking because of the chi that flows. However, for me it was real hit or miss. I could go 2 or 3 weeks with no sensation other than feeling the chi strongly in my hands but I could not count on the legs shaking so I sort of dropped it. But since recently adding a few of the vol. 5 FP meditations and a second med from vol. 7 and also doing GM Doo Wai's advanced chi gong meds, a few of them, older than FP, whenever I now do the neigong I do have the leg shaking consistently. That confirms that FP is indeed opening up different energy channels as we add the meditations from the other volumes. Very tangible proof that what it claims to do, it does do. And I am not all that sensitive to subtle energy, so this is pretty big stuff for me whenever I can directly experience effects from an energy method. Today I should be able to finish learning the last 2 meds on Vol. 5. I learned "Lifting Earth to Heaven" last night and it was so easy to learn and then do. I have yet to hear from the rest of you guys out there about your experiences with Volume 5.

Now that we are back from those commercial breaks here is some chi kung news. Try taking a worry or negative train of thought that is bothering you before you do a Flying Phoenix session and then bring up the same thoughts while doing a FP meditation and see the difference. I find that when I am obsessed with a bothersome thought and then find myself thinking about it during the FP meditation, it just does not have the emotional charge that it does when not doing chi kung. To me this shows that FP chi kung helps mental health, eases anxiety and negative mental/emotional states. Does anyone else find that FP meds helps with emotional matters?

Good news for asthma sufferers. I just received from Swanson Vitamin co. a research update suggesting Vitamin D has been tested for helping people with asthma. They did not give the dosage that was used in the research study.

Yes, Ron Teeguardian formulas are high quality and have been tested by my medical clairvoyant. I have used some of them a few years ago but my system just does not register any effects. That does not mean that they were not effective, just means I did not notice any benefits. But Tonic Alchemy is a great green powder to consume and my intuitive did test that one too. The Teeguardin catalogue is a quality work of art worth reading about these herbs. But to figure out on one's own which formulas to use would be a trial and error deal that I would not recommend doing. The staff at Teaguardin's store in Santa Monica, CA will consult over the phone to help pick a formula. I did that once and the person Rx the same formula that my medical intuitive had Rx. I had asked her which is the best formula for people who do chi kung. Dragonherbs.com.

S.S., what a great choice of doing the warm up meditation 50 10 50 as I feel such a strong energy sensation from that one. I should go back to doing that one since I let it go when I recently learned some more FP meditations on other volumes. Your experience does again show that there is more to FP chi kung than meets the eye. Plus the energy behind intention.

Sifu Terry, I admire your diagnostic acumen and Rx for the fellow with asthma. I would suggest that he consult with an authentic medical clairvoyant who literally can see the sources of ailments, including the psychological causes. In the man's description I also hear possible prenatal or delivery traumas and/or past life suffocation issues. The birth is the junction point between a past life and the current life issues that will develop. I know this stuff sounds strange but this has been part of my training to think in these terms and then have it validated when I have performed past life therapy. It' always karmic in nature. I have also heard people speak about how their severe depression was healed so quickly from receiving the Oneness Blessing energy healing from the Oneness movement of Sri Bhagavan. Removing these obstacles will be well worth the effort to then be able tap the gold mine from Flying Phoenix Chi Kung. This man has the motivation to move beyond his current setbacks. That is great. Steve

Thanks for the reply Lloyd. I will have to set aside time to learn 70 50 20 10. I have been enjoying doing 60 70 40 5 which I learned last month after reading your experience of it. When I do that one and the hands come back into the prayer position I sometimes can feel a tingling in my third eye so somehow holding the hands in the prayer position 12" from the chest is doing something to the third eye energy circuit. Or maybe not! I have to start doing it even slower than I have been to really feel the energy in the hands more. I have not yet experienced the meditative like state from it that you experience. I get that more from 50 20 10, the Sleeper. At times when really tired and doing the Sleeper right before I go to bed the hands have been moving on their own it seems. Somehow they seem to know where to go.

Lloyd, wow what a great experience that you had. I had a similar experience when I went into a temporary state of enlighment for one night in 1977 when initiated in the TM Siddhi program. As a TM teacher and from my direct experience in 1977 I can tell you from the TM teachings that the state you were in is called Transcendental Consciousness in our system. It is a deeper level of the state called Restful Alertness during TM. You are so relaxed that you transcend, go beyond thoughts and feelings and are just Being. That is our natural state if not for stress in the nervous system. One of the signs that a person is in Transcendental Consc. is that there is no sensation of time. I have had this. The brain is really rested and integrated in this state as there is plenty of brain research on this state now. Were you doing the 60-70-40-5 from vol. 7? I am going to cut and paste your experience to send to my friend and fellow TM teacher who recently went into Awakening. He will enjoy reading how people like you can transcend. Your were in the zone all right! That is a true higher state of consciousness experience. In our system, the Transcendent does resemble the qualities of the Unified Field vacuum state. Pure energy/consciousness without form which has the potential to manifest into form. The pathless path as Eugene state. The Tao. No one could understand your experience of suspension of time unless they experienced directly. This is really exciting stuff. Steve Steve

Eugene: Wow, that sample from Tao, the 3 Treasures is pretty amazing since it resembles the experiences of people recently achieving Awakening in the Oneness Movement. They report that the small self is gone, the sense of being an isolated, separate individual. They also experience they are in the moment. So kudos to CC and kudos to you for finding this writing and sharing it. And to Sifu Terry I would ask if we are expecting too much from FP to give us this state of Awakening? If so, do you know of any Taoist method which is accessable to us for this since the Oneness Meditation energy is working for my friends but not for me. I also want to comment on the astral traveling that you described doing. I recently took level 2 of Ama Deus energy healing from the Amazon Rain forest tradition in Brazil. One of the methods we were taught is for visiting others while we sleep. I keep forgetting to try it bc I fall asleep. Steve

As a "normal psychotherapist" beginning my career 40 years ago, I have to agree with Eugene that psychotherapists are not much help with problems while on the path. They have no map and do not know the terrain from their personal experience. I just proved that this afternoon while on a first and last date with a therapist. I was explaining someone's behavior in very simple astrology trait terms and I could see by her expression that I had lost her. So I had to dummy down and speak in psychological terms. Check please! It was a very quick lunch, lol. However, there are a series of books written by the only enlightened psychiatrist that I know of, David Hawkins, MD. His own story is amazing and his writings are fascinating. He claims to be able to tell what level of consciousness you are at just by doing muscle testing. And he describes people's behaviors in terms of his consciousness scale. Makes for great reading. He is able to back test to determine consciousness levels of historical figures such as Buddha, Jesus, etc.

I also want to report that since doing the first 2 meditations on vol. 5 of Flying Phoenix and 2 meditations from Vol 7, plus 2 static meditations from the Doo Wai family tradition which are not part of FP, I have been having noticeable heightened intuition that happened so quickly after learning these meditations. To me this is tangible experience that FP does indeed open energy centers. As a result, there are less surprises now in my daily life. A former girlfriend for instance visited me unexpectedly a few weeks ago even though I had not seen her since early feb. I sensed she was troubled by something which she denied so I just rattled off what my gut was feeling and I was right on. I have done this on multiple occasions now. And the other day I just had the feelling that her new boyfriend who suffers from pathological jealousy was going to cause trouble. Sure enough the other night the phone rang and a man that I do not know, only by name, started verbally attacking and threatening me. It was him. No surprise. So good stuff is happening from FP.

Sifu Terry, When I read about lucid dreaming I always associate it to the experience of witnessing which is having some degree of pure consciousness where the thinking part of the mind is declutched from consciousness and you are observing. It is an experience that is hard for me to put in words. I have had this in the waking state when initiated in Patanjali's yoga sutras with the missing secret simple technique that was restored by Maharishi Mahesh Yogi so that the sutras could then work. I also had this witnessing awareness once after sleeping in my pyramid tent in 1976. A plastic tent creating with the dimensions of the Pyramid of Giza but obviously scaled down! I would emit blue energy from my finger tips while in the tent with all of that chi. And when my dog was in there while I meditated I knew exactly where she was when walking around bc I could feel her energy field touching my energy field and when I opened my eyes I could see a blue aura around her paws when she walked. Anyway, one morning I was watching my brain wake up while I was asleep but sitll aware. So I think this is akin to lucid dreaming but I was not dreaming at all. If the witnessing state remains 24/7 and is permanent, in TM system this is called the first stage of Enlightenment known as Cosmic Consciousness. Lucid dreaming is brought on by doing things to make it happen, witnessing comes from purification of the nervous system thru deep meditation and it cannot be brought on by doing anything to make it happen. So there are obvious differences. Your mentor then is living? Steve

She will just have to wait in line with the rest of them, I guess. LOL! But now I do wonder just how much FP practice it would take to pull that off? I bet Sifu Terry could drawn her in.

Sifu Terry, I do enjoy your sense of humor. My people will get in touch with your people about the testimonials. In the meantime I find that you do not even have to leave your house for the Flying Phoenix energy to have an effect on women. This week I was meeting more than my share of women online and then when I would talk to them on the phone this instant intimacy just developed that really surprised me. It was happening with each woman that I contacted and they intitiated it. I had to back out of meeting some of them because the phone calls cut into my Flying Phoenix time. We all have our priorities. I never would have thought that I would pass up a date in order to stay home! And this comes from a life long bachelor. The Tao is not so still afterall!

Sifu Terry, I can hardly wait for those seminars to start rolling in! The research from the brain wave coherence at Amherst, MA was done in part by checking out brainwaves of meditators in Fairfield, IA who did not know when the TMers were doing their meditation programs in Amherst. When the Amherst group did the program the Fairfield subjects showed the most brain wave coherence. There is no time and space distance barriers to the unified field of Consciousness. The TMO has pubilshed the most scientific research on this with their studies done over years in Atlanta, GA. And in reply to Eugene. I salute your dedication. Yes, where this is a will there is a way. I wanted a more balanced lifestyle which includes dating so I have had to sacrifice my personal time to meet my social needs. But believe me, I continue to be in a conflict between my values and when I am not enjoying a date I do say to myself, "I could be home doing chi kung instead of this relationship stuff" which is really no more than going out to dinner, going home to be intimate. That too gets old. But chi kung remains fresh!

I envy you guys that are doing hours of chi kung each day. I am just wondering, do you not work? How is anyone able to devote 3-4 hrs doing energy work if you are employed?

Hello Sifu Terry, You have made a very important suggestion about practicing FP in groups. It is now scientifically proven that the energy field produced from group practice such as meditation is more than the sum of the number of people in the group. It actually is the number of people squared. I was part of the first experiment in group energy effects conducted by the Transcendental Meditation Organization in 1979 when we had 3,000 people at the U. of Mass. doing the TM Siddhi program together at the same times for the whole summer. The largest effect was when the group after doing TM then did the "flying sutra" and levitated together. So it just makes perfect sense that the benefits to the individual doing FP chi kung in a group would be that much more because of the enhanced energy field in the room. It creates documented brain wave cohesion. Everyone's nervous system gets in synch, hence "Unified Field" is produced and radiated out. Since the FP people cannot gather like this under one roof, how about an experiment where we as individuals agree to meet at the same specific time to do FP and see what we experience from that? Steve

Hi Lloyd, You could put your question to the test by doing a video of yourself doing FP as Sifu Terry has suggested to see the blue light. And speaking of past lives and chi kung, my trusted psychic answered my question about the source of my fascination with chi kung. She can go to the Akashic Records to answer those kind of questions and she saw me in a Shaolin type temple in ancient China in the 1500's doing marital arts and she even was able to tell me the name I then had. I trust her info because I have used her services since 1994 and almost all of her predictions for me have come true, including the predticted time frame. Steve

Hi Lloyd, Being able to perceive the light from FP speaks volumes about how evolved your nervous system must be. I think the light from FP practice is probably in every practitioner"s spot where they do FP but it takes heightened awareness to perceive it. I would say that it is safe to say you did a lot of inner cultivation work in previous life times and it sure seems to be paying off now. We sometimes forget that all we do now can also pay off on other levels since Consciousness is eternal. Steve
