A well spoken reply stating reasons and a solution by Sifu Terry. The materials that Sifu Terry eventually brings out when time permits are definitely worth waiting for. I also think that the Flying Phoenix DVD series has enough qigong on it to take a lifetime to master, so the investment for a now cheap dvd player used only for qigong learning would be well worth it. Or simply playing FP DVDs on the computer's built in dvd player. These days a teacher has to go where the students are. And if a teacher lives on the West coast of America, but the most interested students live on the East coast, then it is a blessing that this teacher would take the time and effort to go to those students. I appreciate that Sifu Terry has given us a detailed explanation on why it is not feasible to create downloads at this time. In these days of sound bites serving as communication, his penchant for detailed replies is much appreciated.

Qigong system for my grandma? Xiang Gong / Fragrant Qigong?
tao stillness replied to Souli's topic in Newcomer Corner
In terms of recommending Pangu I am wondering how one gets past the boredom of doing that routine? I posted in years past my amazing overnight healing from a serious virus by doing Pangu Qigong but I did not continue with for that long because it was very boring doing it. But it is simple and very effective. -
Qigong system for my grandma? Xiang Gong / Fragrant Qigong?
tao stillness replied to Souli's topic in Newcomer Corner
llOf the 80-90 different styles of Qigong that I have tried I find none easier to do than Fragrant Qigong and it has tested as being very effective. The good news is that there probably is a German dvd of this from Emil who learns all these different qigong methods and then puts them on dvds to sell on his website. I can't recall his last name but if you search under emil doing qigong on youtube you will see his many youtube demos of qigong there and that will lead you to his website. I recently visited my 93 year old mother with the intention of teaching her qigong and I chose Fragrant Qigong for her but she said her arm motion limited so she did not want to even try it. But I believe she could have done it. -
The administrator posted somewhere recently that this zen-bear thread is now a PPD. Can someone tell me what that means and how does it get accessed from here?

Also to Star Jumper, there is no way to do the level 2 Fragrant Qigong properly from any you tube video unless you understand Chinese. This is because there are movements done where you have to work your legs in a way that is opposite to the side you are moving your hands to, etc. That requires teaching and practice which is available in English on John Dolic's dvd of this form. I learned levels one and two from his dvds. Then you can follow along with the youtube videos of Master Tian's daughters doing the forms. I would not trust any other posted videos of Fragrant Qigong because even as a novice I noticed mistakes being made. My wife strongly smelled the scent of flowers when she tried doing Fragrant Qigong the first time and she smells it when I have done the form in the same room as she is in. But I have yet to smell anything, nor have I felt anything other than the typical chi sensation in the hands. And that is all I have felt from any of the other 80-90 methods of qigong that I have tried.

In reply to Star Jumper, I was also doing one method from Chi-Lel/Zhineng along with the Fragrant Qigong. The method from Chi-Lel is a common posture they call La Chi. It is the one where you look like you are playing an accordion. Palms face each other close to each other and you then open them apart and then come back together. In Spring Forest Qigong this posture is known as Breathing the Universe. For the first 10 days that I did these 2 qigong methods I did not have to wake up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom, an age related condition of prostate gland. However, after several days things reverted back to how they used to be so that was a brief and temporary healing only. That was disappointing. But it could due to the fact that I slacked off doing the La Chi posture. It was tested that doing it for 30 minutes would be the optimum amount of time. But I stopped doing that much. So I need to go back to doing it for the recommended amount time like I did for the first 10 days to see if the condition again improves.

I have received some advice from a teacher of Fragrant Qigong who studies TCM and qigong for several years in China and he has visited the Tian family. He told me that other qigong methods can be done with Fragrant Qigong just as long as they do not involve unnatural breathing methods and do not use visualization or guiding the Qi mentally. I have never smelled any fragrance but my wife smelled fragrance strongly the first time she tried Fragrant Qigong and each time she has tried it. She also can taste flowers in the Fragrant Qigong water that I make following Master Tian's method for that. But I have never tasted anything from the water. Yet the method works regardless of what is being sensed or not sensed. Some people base their evaluation of qigong methods by the experiences or sensations that they have from it. That would be a mistake since you cannot determine what the Qi is really doing for you during the practice. I want to clarify the post that I wrote in January of 2018 when I said that Earl Grey's teacher visited Master Tian's family and Master Tian is alive and well. I since have spoken with that person and he said he visited the family but Master Tian was not there. So it would be incorrect for me to report that he said Master Tian is alive and well. From what I read in the book it seems that Fragrant Qigong is most powerful for healing when done in very large groups. But I have also heard of testimonials from people doing FQ alone. As for learning the method from videos I have John Dolic's dvds and I find that the posted youtube videos on this thread done by Master Tian's daughters are done in the same way that John Dolic performs them. But you do need instruction for the do's and don'ts so you would need John's dvds for level one and two if you do not understand Mandarin. And a reminder that different qigong methods do different things for different people. I did Flying Phoenix Chi Kung for 2 years and did not heal anything. I did Fragrant Qigong and after the first night it improved a medical condition that I had for 20-30 years. So different strokes for different folks. But if someone wants to feel chi very strongly, then Flying Phoenix most likely will do that for most people. I always enjoyed doing Flying Phoenix but my lifestyle never permitted enough time for it.

After many months of doing the Eddie Chong method I never felt any kundalini going up the spine as forecast by Eric Isen the medical intuitive. Since I was unaware of any results from this method I dropped it regardless of the glowing test results. Decades ago when doing the correct method for Patanjalis Yoga Sutras, as only taught thru the Transcendental Meditation program, I definitely felt strong kundalini rising up the spine that reached the crown chakra and lit up my brain with colors and explosions of bliss and love. So if Kundalini is rising up the spine, there is no way to miss that happening. And nothing was happening from doing the Eddie Chong Chi Kung. Since my nervous system or brain is probably blocking chi kung methods from working, I will no longer post any test results from Eric Isen unless I later have some kind of experiences from any energy method. Other people that have tried some of the methods that Eric has tested for me do have great results. So I am not saying that Eric's testing is inaccurate. I am just sayin I am lacking in being able to register any benefits in most cases. There have been exceptions to this but it has been a number of years since having legit experiences from chi kung other than strong sensation of chi in my hands. And that is not notable at all since it is what most beginners soon feel whenever they do chi kung for the first time. So as of July 16, 2018 signing off until I have experiences to report rather than just great test results.

I watched the interaction between Sifu Terry and GM Doo Wai. Having worked in my career with people who have had brain dysfunction due to one reason or another I can understand that Sifu Terry was trying to keep GMDW focused on the questions. Otherwise, his mind would have wandered all over the place and there would be no answers. I have had to use similar ways to communicate with my brain dysfunctioned clients over the years to create some kind of organization that their brains were lacking. It is amazing that GM Doo Wai is able to speak at all considering the number of strokes he has suffered. And I did not detect any rudeness in the tone of Sifu Terry's voice. Sifu Terry was applying the external control that GM Doo Wai's internal mental status currently lacks. That is how I perceived it.

What became of Qigong Master Yan Xin?
tao stillness replied to NotVoid's topic in Systems and Teachers of
I don't think he was a fake because Chunyi Lin talks about going to a soccer stadium where this master was transmitting Qi and Lin's old basketball injured knee suddenly was healed. The subject of this thread was the master there. -
Sifu Dan LaRochelle and the Rizzo brothers
tao stillness replied to DSCB57's topic in Systems and Teachers of
The above complaints about Sifu Dan La Rochelle surprise me because over the last 5 years he has always replied to any questions I had about what he offers on his website. The Rizzo brothers have also always replied to my questions about their products and they were the ones who informed me of Doo Wai's health issues with the strokes. As far as Flying Phoenix taking too long to do, I totally agree with that. And that is the only shortcoming I find in that system. The quality of those dvds by Terry Dunn is beyond what most other qigong dvds look like. The question about if there are any qigong methods out there which do not take as long as FP but are equally or more beneficial can only be answered on an individual basis that would take a legitimate medical clairvoyant to determine. That is how I determine which qigong methods I currently practice. Each method is relative to other methods and is always based on your individual condition of your nervous system, energy blocks, etc. There is no way to determine this on your own. As for the crazy high prices for some of Doo Wai videos, I was told by a few of his students that the price relates to how powerful the claimed benefits are for that particular qigong method from the Doo Wai family lineage. That is why 690 AD method costs $300. Some of the Doo Wai students were charged $30,000 for Doo Wai to make them a video of a certain qigong form. PT Barnum said it best.- 38 replies

Well said Sifu Terry! What you have shared does sum up our situation. During these times of entropy that occurs before a phase transition in Nature that takes us to a more organized state, I find myself spontaneously going back in a nostalgic mood to my memories of childhood during the 1950's when even to a young child it did feel like America was great. My master, Maharishi Mahesh Yogi, taught that the mind always spontaneously goes to a field of greater charm. He also taught that the current head of state of a nation reflects the collective consciousness of the governed. That is especially sad for this nation. That this great country has so many citizens with such low consciousness. Fortunately, at least 2 percent of the population has chi kung and meditation to hold onto as a life preserver during these strange times as the eroding cabal tries to hold onto to the old power while Nature is bringing in the real power. Darkness vanishes in the Light.

I used to automatically assume that any spiritual method that charged a super high amount of money was just a scam. But then the organization that I have belonged to for the past 45 years, Transcendental Meditation, one day raised their initiation fee to the crazy price of $1,500. In 1973 I paid $75 to learn T.M. So the method being taught by Ausar has to be evaluated by something other than his very high price. For $30 I know of a medical clairvoyant that I have used for over 20 years who can tell me whatever I want to find out about this method.

Thank you Sifu Terry for sharing your experience with angels. From that I would conclude that angels can appear in various forms but perhaps regardless of their visual appearance, the constants with each experience with them is the Divine Light/energy and the feeling of Divine love?
-
I think I saw this video several years ago. All that comes to mind about why it is different is that Doo Wai made many videos of advanced chi kung forms and this fellow might have been able to learn from them. What I liked about it was that he did the movements slow enough so that you could follow what he was doing. When I watch Doo Wai do movements he does them so relatively fast that I am not sure what he is doing.

As far as the airliner goes, those who have true sight claim that angels do not have wings but are seen as light. People who have had NDEs also report this. But a great photo anyway.

Wu Wei Qigong and Falun Gong: origins and differences
tao stillness replied to Vovi's topic in Welcome
,You won't find a thread about Wu Wei Qigong anywhere. The little that is disclosed about is found on the site that sells the dvd, Purple Plum Pubications. Their series is called Chinese Living Treasures and they carry Master George Xu's dvds. He is a well known martial artist in the San Francisco Bay area. To ask questions about Wu Wei Qigong you could direct them to his senior student, Susan Matthews, since Master Xu usually does not reply to inquiries. From what Susan told me, Master Xu learned Wu Wei Qigong years ago from a Master in Shanghai and this was before Falun Gong was introduced by Master Li. And I prefer Wu Wei Qigong to Falun Gong because the static postures are not to be held anywhere near as long as Falun Gong requires. Falun wants you to hold a static posture for as long as you can. I found that the more I practiced the form the longer I could hold the postures and it was becoming 25 minutes for each posture but I had a life to live and could not devote that kind of time to qigong. With Wu Wei Qigong 5 minutes was fine and no more than 10 minutes per static posture. And there was no prohibition against doing any other type of Qigong like Falun Gong warns. Both systems automatically install an energy wheel which spins in your lower dan tian acting to bring in Qi, and also to expel bad Qi on a 24/7 basis. So doing the form serves to keep the wheel working at maximum capacity. My medical clairvoyant reported that Wu Wei Qigong is more powerful than doing Falun Qigong and the wheel from Wu Wei has a different appearance than the wheel from Falun Gong. I think the name of the form, Wu Wei, is what confuses some people. I just ignored the name rather than racking my brain about what it had to do with the form. So that is all that I know about this subject. And Wu Wei being considered to mean "nothing", would be like saying the vacuum state of quantum physics is empty. Or that the Tao contains nothing or that outer space is just space. -
Yes, that is the correct dvd. I own that one but at the time some years ago when I got it I was not able to figure out how to do them since they are demo only and not instructional. Someone now might be able to learn them by using VLC player to get rid of the mirrored image and by slowing down the speed. When Doo Wai says something is high level, it is not an exaggeration since Eric over the years has confirmed that. And thus some people are just not ready for the high level meds of Doo Wai since their nervous system does not yet support some of the energies from his advanced stuff.

Wu Wei Qigong and Falun Gong: origins and differences
tao stillness replied to Vovi's topic in Welcome
The above is truly a conclusion based on lack of knowledge and experience of qigong and Traditional Chinese Medicine. I will admit that it is clever in terms of semantics. It also shows a true lack of understanding of the meaning of Wu Wei. I would suggest that the person making those comments read the Tao Te Ching as a starter and also learn qigong. -
I recently stumbled upon the methods of young Jason Quitt of Ontario, Canada. Super highly evolved soul probably from far, far away originally, considering the knowledge, abilities and energy/spiritual methods he has brought here for sharing. He has a unique form of qigong that is a result of studying the various different postures as seen by the ancient Egyptian statues and then taking them to some qigong masters which resulted in creating a level one Postures of Power qigong book/dvd, and a level 2 form. This guy is super sensitive to healing energy so he is able to have some great experiences. He also has a brilliant and creative mind. He also has great experiences using the fairly new to the market Shungite Rods which are the same principle as the Egyptian Healing Rods that I own but they are made of Shungite stone which is supposed to have some amazing healing abilities for mind, body and spirit. Jason spent about ten years doing Chinese qigong but really things opened up for him as soon as he used these Shungite Rods. They are so powerful that you are only supposed to hold them up to 10 minutes twice a day and stop after 2 weeks, and wait a month before using them again. This sounds way beyond the Egyptian Healings Rods that I use. So I have ordered his Postures of Power Egyptian qigong book and a pair of the Shungite Rods. I got the rods at half price from ordering from the manufacture who ships them from Russia with free shipping. They cost very little and the Egyptian Healing Rods that I have had for at least 10 years are quite expensive. I am looking forward to having my energy sensitive wife using them. My energy sensing still remains blocked. I am hoping the Egyptian Qigong and the Shungite Rods will help with that problem. Jason's website is thecrystalsun.com.

I think that it is more a result of who is learning the healing method, rather than what the healing method is. Some people are naturally born healers just like some people have incredible experiences right off the bat from qigong while there are others who after years can only feel sensations from qigong in their hands. It depends on the condition of our nervous system. That is my opinion after 26 years of Reiki and 11 years of Qigong and 44 years of daily Transcendental Meditation.

If my memory serves me well, when I bought the San Gong dvd some years ago the seller told me it translates as "seated meditation". I would say a variant would be "seated cultivation" since I think of the word gong as work but in the case of qigong, work involving the cultivation of inner energy/alchemy. And to me, the highest purpose of that cultivation would be for developing shen which I think of as higher consciousness/spiritual experience.

Yi Gong - I would like to know what this spontaneous qigong stye is like
tao stillness replied to Oneironaut's topic in General Discussion
As a result of clairvoyant testing of forms I have changed my Qigong routine at the start of the New Year. I do Fragrant Qigong by Master Tian, along with using that tradition's method for making Fragrant Qigong water. And my other form is One Finger Zen Qigong by Ken Cohen. There is no mistaking the Qi that is put into the hands from this one. Keep in mind it is not done just to be able to eventually heal others with Qi, it creates much Qi that circulates in the entire body for your own personal benefits, per Ken Cohen and per the recent testing by Eric Isen. I also do a total of 30 minutes of La-Chi method from Chi-Lel. And Awakening the Soul form from Sheng Zhen Qigong. -

tao stillness replied to Oneironaut's topic in General Discussion
Yes, most people do not understand that the qigong method has to fit the person. One size does not fit all. That is the value of having methods tested by Eric.
