  1. Who's interested in becoming a Moderator?

I agree about impartiality. I was just using myself as one example because it was the easiest post for me to pull up without have to scour through pages of the same drek directed at other members. One more thing, just because you choose not to engage (ie, not click) doesn't mean trolling should be tolerated. It's like saying just because you choose not to engage in criminal activity it's still okay to let it go on even though there are people put in place to stop it. Does this make any sense, or am I taking crazy pills here? Also, do you have any experience in forum moderation? I'm just curious. Because, I actually do. And I don't mean for this to come off as trying to trump you or whatever, it's simply a fact.
  2. Who's interested in becoming a Moderator?

"They've made it a personal mission of theirs to do whatever it takes to convince others that they have the answers." Others as in other people, but not necessarily the entire member base of this forum. How's that for perspective? Also let me just add that it isn't just threads that they create (those, like yourself, I can choose avoid), it's posts inside other threads.
  3. Who's interested in becoming a Moderator?

I don't see how this applies to an internet forum where people can be silenced either permanently or temporarily based on their actions. Key words are "their actions" not "what opinions I disagree with." Just to clarify for you, in case you misunderstood my post. Case in point (regarding trash): http://thetaobums.com/topic/28678-email-from-jim-mcmillian/?p=443021 It's gone on long enough with these Mo Pai trolls. It's no longer about having a civilized debate. They've made it a personal mission of theirs to do whatever it takes to convince others that they have the answers. That's just one comment of many made by these trolls. Shall I cite more? So either do something about it, or resign as Mod. (This is directed at Mods in general, not you in particular Flolfolil)
  4. You didn't understand some of the sarcasm in my post. So let me clarify. I agree with Dr. Yang (I'm currently reading his book on Embryonic Breathing), and he seems to be one of the few out there with any real knowledge of Qigong. There's a lot of people in this thread who are completely off base with their information. Either they read it in some poorly translated book or on the internet, or it's a fantasy driven by wanting to shoot lightning bolts out of their ass.
  5. So based on some of the posts from members in this thread, Dr. Yang, Jwing-Ming is a snake oil salesman fraud who doesn't know the first thing about Qigong... OR Are said members just idiots who don't know jack shit but pretend to because they read it in some poorly translated book -- or worse, read it on the *gasp* internet? He promotes: ~ Sitting in meditation without being grounded on natural soil. ~ MCO ... and many more standard Qigong practices, but I decided to highlight those two because of what's been said in this thread.
  6. Who's interested in becoming a Moderator?

I am very interested actually. I have years of moderation experience. There's a lot of trash that needs to be taken out.
  7. I don't have to know who I am, I choose who I am

It wouldn't exist in the first place if there wasn't a need for it to begin with. Why does the Earth need to rotate? Gravity to have any pull? Flowers to grow? Trees to provide oxygen? There's more to this than just your little world. So you're right, hypocrite wasn't the right use of the term, perhaps arrogant is a better choice to describe you. Human arrogance. So you may have these cute out worldly beliefs/ideals but when met with simple logic they crumble. Good day! I'm done with you.
  8. I don't have to know who I am, I choose who I am

I read your other post but it was too damn long to quote so I quoted this one instead. You don't need anything. You don't need to be alive. You're absolutely right. Yet, you've in fact have chosen to exist in this form (whatever that is you wish to call it). Therefore in order to stay in this form, you NEED certain things to survive (to maintain this illusion). Once you've chosen not to be in this form, only then you can truly speak about not needing anything. Because as it stands now, you're talking like a hypocrite.
  9. I don't have to know who I am, I choose who I am

You're right. So what's the point of your posts? I'm trying to figure out what you're trying to accomplish here. If there is no point, then you're just taking up space and not contributing anything - especially since you refuse to see anyone else's point of view. Good luck.
  10. I don't have to know who I am, I choose who I am

Stop breathing, and then come back to tell us about it.
  11. I don't have to know who I am, I choose who I am

At the most basic primal level - yes. It's called survival. Not in the sense of eating processed foods and taking pictures of our lunch to gawk at over InstaGram. Basic survival needs must be met in order to continue to live in the Tao. If not, then why create the need to breath in air? I hope this answers your question.
  12. Animal Flesh and the Fall of Man.

I read enough to conclude that some people in this thread are so full of shit. And I have to ask - not to be offensive by any means - but is english your first language?
  13. Animal Flesh and the Fall of Man.

To the Vegetarian's of this thread: I eat whatever I want. Sometimes this includes meat. If this means suffering the consequences of my karma, so be it. I'll ask the Tao for an instructional manual to life before my next reincarnation. ps, The tao doesn't judge, take sides, or decide what's right vs what's wrong. That's human arrogance. Stop pretending like you know what's best for everyone. Thanks.
  14. Mo Pai Nonsense

    This thread...
  15. there is no god but thats ok.

Did this voice in your head remind you to take your medication? jk I would love to be there at the very moment people realize that there is no God with a big white beard waiting for them at the "pearly gates."
  16. The Five Levels of Taijiquan

Anyone read this book? http://www.amazon.com/Five-Levels-Taijiquan-Chen-Xiaowang/dp/184819093X/ref=wl_it_dp_o_pC_S_nC?ie=UTF8&colid=3ATB9C53AOSU1&coliid=I1ERBRT6L5GX9Y It's a little pricey which is why I've been hesitant to pick it up. Not only that but there's only two reviews for it on Amazon.
  17. The Positive Development Empire

http://www.jingattiig.webs.com/ Turn on a camera, point it at yourself, and show us something. There's no excuse anymore not to have footage of what you're capable of. This isn't 2012 BCE. http://jingattiig.we...icesoffered.htm "Tao Wu Shin Kung Fu & Elite Superior Personal Training" Show us. Before we go here: http://positivedevel.../apps/webstore/ and open our wallets. I've exposed a few frauds (The Mo Pai kids) on here recently, so forgive me if I seem direct.
  18. The Power of F*ck It

  19. Continue practicing? There is no quick and easy path toward whatever you wish to attain. Don't let anyone on this site fool you into thinking there is one. Sorry, I really can't give you a definitive answer. Good luck! Edit: I would actually argue and say that there's far more "mumbo yumbo(?lol?)" chikungs in the states than anywhere else in the world. There's chain after chain of McDojo's and Belt Factories here. Ask yourself these two questions: 1) How much is your health worth to you? 2) What do you wish to attain in life?
  20. Yawn. Not everyone can handle the accelerated effect of a transmission. Start by doing the work for at least 6 months to a year. And yes there are lots of "transmission" scammers out there, so be careful. Quit pretending like they don't exist. I was not implying that Ya Mu is one of them. Relax.
  21. Transmissions are a scam to get you to cough up $$$. Unless someone is offering to do it for free, but even then I would be skeptical. The only time I would allow someone to transmit something to me is if it was coming from a grandmaster within a deep lineage. Very few of these exist today, if any. The DVD's are enough.
  22. Wall gaze for nine years straight until you hear the ants scream. Everything else is a JOKE!
  23. Spiritual experience in a nutshell

There are very few members on here that can guide others down a proper path. Very few. I was a little harsh in my comment. My apologies. It's tough to weed through what's authentic and what's pure fluff when everybody is Mo Pai fighting, and Gary J. Clyman disciples are fast as LIGHTNING™.
  24. Spiritual experience in a nutshell

No one knows anything. That's the summary of my thoughts regarding the members on this forum. Perhaps in the future that will change.
  25. First steps

I won't sit here and defend someone I don't know personally. I assume based on your judgements you know Mantak Chia well? Looks can be deceiving, although I am sure an educated person such as yourself would know that, right? You do realize that some grandmasters walked with a cane, looked way past 80 years old, yet wielded more power in their pinky finger than you or I have in our entire body, right? I agree with one thing you said: "One must be careful." You're right. In ANY practice, one must be careful. This is not for the weak minded. None of it is. People on this forum are foolish though, and want the quick path to enlightenment/power. Hence, why you see all these people struggle with kundalini awakenings. They weren't ready for it. Before this gets out of hand and you continue with the "I heard this, I heard that." I'm going to say good luck with whatever you practice. I hope you find whatever it is you're looking for.
