  1. What do you think you need?

    LMAOOOOO!!!
  2. First steps

Mantak Chia is fine, but he has so much information out there that it's hard to figure out where to start. Inner smile technique is fantastic, and yet it's nothing new. Six healing songs are also amazing, again it's nothing new. If you skip all of this and jump right into Nei Kung/Bone Marrow/Tendon washing techniques, and micro/macrocosmic orbiting you're an idiot. Not you, Recep -- I'm speaking generally to everyone. My opinion is to first fix your psychological issues (anger towards parents, siblings, society, stress, etc), while simultaneously changing your diet. Get off processed foods and sugar water (soda, energy drinks) and start eating healthy. Drink water. To me these are far more important first steps than picking a spiritual practice. Edit: More importantly don't listen to power-seekers on this forum. Trust me, they don't know jack shit.

Fair enough. So when you say these invocations are they said aloud or silently in your mind?
  4. Interesting. Thanks for posting this.
  5. Some Beginner Cultivation Tips

I don't mean to question you, but doesn't asking the 'divine one' imply that you are separate from source? Perhaps you don't believe that all things are one, that however is not for me to question. Do all spiritual practices begin and end with invocations? Is working with your Qi to open up your energy channels - especially the third eye - not a spiritual practice in itself? I'm trying to get an idea for what you consider a spiritual practice. That is all.
  6. Some Beginner Cultivation Tips

Here's what I am currently doing in my practice sessions: I warm up with the 8 Strands of Brocade I then stand in the first and second positions of Zhan Zhuang Finally I end my session with sitting meditation (stilling the mind and focusing on my LDT) Thoughts?

Fantastic response. Let me address each point: 1. I live by the 90/10 rule. 90% of the time I eat like this everyday and the other 10% of the time I cheat. A cheat day as they call it. I go out and have a nice meal with the wife. Sometimes this includes those allergies I listed above. As far as eating it regularly in my diet? Not at all. Before, I was eating eggs, cheese, wheat bread, etc all the time (almost every day) -- which was causing all that pain. I had to cut it all out. The 90/10 rule however helps keep my sanity. I love to eat good food at good restaurants. 2. I didn't know that about the nuts. Any suggestions for toasting them? I don't eat the beans raw. Lol. Sorry for the confusion. 3. I am fully aware of the myths surrounding animal fats. I don't know if you caught the part where I said I eat grass-fed beef once a month. That may not be enough according to you though. Any suggestions? Venison? 4. Yeah, I don't really know what the right diet is for being on the way, and I don't believe anyone else knows either. However, I feel much better now after changing my lifestyle to a healthy one. To me this is more important than anything else. Edit: I also take a multivitamin, fish oil, and iodine supplements. All natural; no binders, fillers, etc.

Taomeow, scroll up and read my response. I'm curious to get your opinion on what I posted. Thank you.

I went from eating mainly processed foods and drinking sodas to purely organic whole foods and strictly water. The organic foods include vegetables (kale, carrots, red radish, baby spinach), fruit (wild blueberries, pears, apples), chicken, wild sockeye salmon, and on occasion I eat grass-fed organic beef. No farm raised crap nor corn fed anything. Very little grains. I'm allergic to wheat, gluten, and dairy. Edit: I eat brazil nuts, walnuts, and kidney/black beans. All RAW and organic of course, not salted. For my salads I don't drench them in ranch dressing, instead I use organic extra virgin olive oil. Oh and I blend (not juice where you lose the fiber) all my vegetables with a tablespoon of extra virgin coconut oil. If I do add salt on something, I use Himalayan salt. Let me put it in perspective for you: Before, I would get sick at least 3 times a year and of course the seasonal flu. My blood pressure was high, my stomach was bloated and in pain, and just overall didn't feel good. Mind you I'm in my mid-late 20s at this point. After switching to my new diet (I hate the word diet, so let's call it LIFESTYLE) which includes eating the organic stuff listed above and exercising (including Qigong and weight lifting) 5 days a week, I have never felt better in my life. Everything I described to you went away. I haven't had even so much as a cold in TWO AND 1/2 YEARS since I made the switch. Also keep in mind that I go to the doctor once a year to get blood work done. Before, I had problems, now everything is stabilized and perfect. Oh, and I'm in my 30s now. I haven't done as nearly as much research as you have obviously, I simply used common sense and google. So tell me, am I doing something wrong? Am I not following the "way"?
  10. Prunes

So basically a vegan centric diet. Minus the Monsanto soy beans.
  11. Mo Pai and Immortality

Sorry, I have him and a few others that keep spewing nonsense on ignore. I suggest you do the same if you wish to keep your sanity.
  12. Prunes

2,500 years ago in China, what did the 'soon-to be-immortals' (aka on the path but yet not realized) eat?
  13. Mo Pai and Immortality

Yeah, I knew it was for electrical work, but honestly did not know that it can measure your Neigong power.
  14. Mo Pai and Immortality

So standing on the earth barefoot while touching the ends of a 'voltage tester/reader' should do the trick?
  15. Immortals (Xian Shi)

    Fraud meter ACTIVATED.
  16. Mo Pai and Immortality

This. Or else, from here on out he shall be known as FRAUDULENT ONE. I first emailed him on November 13th, asking a few simple questions. All I got in response was: "How is your practice going?" I told him, asked more questions, still got nothing. He can't say he's been too busy to answer because since then he's posted - oh I don't know - at least 100 times or more. Sooo.... I think it's time we stop feeding him.
  17. Sounds like you need some GARY J. CLYMAN™ and his TIDAL WAVE™, BIG WAVE™, CHI KUNG/NEI KUNG BIBLE™!! You may have to sell your kidneys on the black market to afford it though! Good luck. MAY THE JING BE COOKING WITH YOU!
  18. GrandmasterP where are you?

I was wondering the same. What ruckus did he cause? I don't remember. ^ Lol, GMP style posting.
  19. Immortals (Xian Shi)

Yeah, some of these people need a time out. John and Kostas both said Mo Pai is very similar to Kundalini Yoga. There's plenty of information on that path, go follow it and stop with the dead Mo Pai lineage. http://thetaobums.co...-kostas-danaos/ Jesus, you guys have been arguing back and forth over this shit for more than a year?? Wow. Pathetic. Time to update my ignore list.
  20. Some Beginner Cultivation Tips

Powerful. It goes right in line with the old saying, "follow your heart..." Makes sense.
  21. Mo Pai and Immortality

Actually, unless you're Superman, the heavy breathing (through the mouth) caused from intense cardiovascular work drains your Ch'i. This isn't coming from me by the way; it's a known fact in Qigong from every Master that has ever walked this planet. Which explains why you never see Masters doing any kind of intense cardio (running, etc) work to draw in/gather/cultivate Yang or Yin Ch'i.
  22. Yeah, Xiaowang is great. Where are you learning Chen-style? Nvm, you said you were done here. I'll just take this into a PM.
  23. I train in both weight lifting and Zhan Zhuang. I do squats, lunges (with weights), calf raises, and stiff-leg dead lifts -- nothing works my legs more than a deep horse stance, or standing in a Zhan Zhuang posture for long periods of time. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rZf4taeqht0 There are no subtitles in this video, but it's pretty self-explanatory. For those that don't know, the small asian man is Chen Xiaowang (as stated in the video's title). He was born and raised in the Chen Family Village and is a direct descendent to the great Grandmaster Chen Fake. http://en.wikipedia....i/Chen_Xiaowang Xiaowang doesn't do any weight lifting legwork, instead he does extensive Qigong, and Zhan Zhuang. The proof - as they say - is in the pudding. Notice how the knees are barely bent, as they do NOT pass over the toes. This is coming from a Grandmaster who knows more about this stuff than all of us combined. Please stop the ignorance. Thank you.
  24. Every week there seems to be a new thread that pops up regarding the following subjects: Zhan Zhuang Mo Pai Gary J. Clyman™ Each thread consists of the usual suspects arguing over said topic. But hey, what do I know?
