What to wear on my feet while cultivating?
Celestial replied to Celestial's topic in General Discussion
Heh, yeah. That's probably why they're so cheap. So I guess the ultimate question would be: what did ancient masters wear on their feet before the modern shoe was invented? -

For cultivating (sitting/standing), I don't see how they could be impractical. Plus those are machine washable and for street (or studio) use. -

So for cultivating do you wear 100% cotton pants? -

So you're saying barefoot AND cotton sole shoes are bad? I hate to bring up John Chang (Mo Pai) but according to him, synthetic materials are bad for cultivating chi. Cotton soles are not synthetic. Rubber soles (on modern shoes) however are. -

All great responses. Ya Mu ~ Right now both barefoot and with shoes feel fine. I live in Southern California so as you may know, the weather here is pretty decent all year round. How about these: http://superiormarti...iate=!affiliate Scroll down till you see: 50010- Washable Cotton Sole Tai Chi/ Kung Fu Shoes * Machine Washable with Cotton lining. For street or studio use. Washable Cotton twill with thread reinforced cotton sole. Slip on style. -

The vibram five finger shoes are the closest thing to being barefoot. They feel amazing actually. -

Thanks. Those shoes are made of rubber soles I assume? So are my vibram five fingers. So I should be okay with the link I posted then. -
templetao, answer your pm please.

This was already answered for you though. http://www.primordialalchemist.com/ Everything you want to know about it is on that site. I don't know what else to tell you. Some people in this thread have already stated that they've done the system and encourage you to get the book. I don't think anyone is going to lay it all out for you, because that would defeat the purpose of getting the book in the first place. Lol.
-
So I take it you've done it? Can you elaborate on your personal experience?
-
Exactly. Anyone that requires you to pay $300+ for a "transmission" has everyone FOOLED. I can't speak for the book itself, but I feel sorry for anyone that got duped into believing you need any sort of transmission to progress spiritually. Go into real nature (not a banquet hall), be still, and let the marvels unfold.

There's a lot of logical fallacies coming out of Seth's posts. "Man up, get a job!" ... really? "Instead of complaining in internet threads, you would be practicing..." ....uh like you're doing right? Go practice instead of caring what others are saying and stop making gross assumptions about other people's priorities. I'm surprised this thread is still not locked.

What does standing meditation do to/for you?
Celestial replied to Maddie's topic in Daoist Discussion
Yep these are the two books that I have as well. Read my post, it's the second one down from the OP. -

Yeah, I wanted to clear that up for GrandmasterP as well. Now I don't have to, so thank you. John Chang is not opening his act in Las Vegas, and he doesn't have a library of books (like Mantak Chia) nor any special potions to sell. I find it hard to believe that all his powers are somehow connected to spirits who hang around him all day long with nothing better to do than to knock over cigarette boxes.
-
The wealth that John Chang accumulated is very relative to the Javanese economy. It's not like he was flying around in a G5, with an entourage of spirits, wearing a giant platinum necklace with the letters 'JC' encrusted with sacred rubies, rappin' about how he got dem secrets to dat Mo Pai yo! Sorry, I just thought that image of John was funny and had to fit it in somewhere. But clearly the point I was trying to make on the previous page was missed. Carry on with this circle-jerk.

I'm still not 100% sold on his system, but I appreciate your insight and will look into it further. Thank you. Which program of his do you recommend for starters? Big Wave? Tidal Wave? I'm a little confused by his 'shop' page as it's a little convoluted.

Very few of us (like yourself) on here actually grasp this. It's sad to see so many fraudulent posters trying to steer people down the path of their own product line. Hopefully the tao will weed them out.

Does my post apply to you directly? Did you even read what I wrote? Are you Chunyi lin? Is there a student of Chunyi lin in this thread trying to sell Chunyi lin's teachings? Is Chunyi lin connected to the Mo Pai lineage, if so please provide proof of this. Go back and comprehend my post before you pop off to me with your sarcastic response. This thread should have been locked a few pages back after the question "Is this Mo Pai Level 1?" (you know, the THREAD TITLE) was answered already. In fact, I motion that ALL 'Mo Pai' related threads be locked considering no one knows anything. This isn't an insult to members of this board, it's simply a fact. If people knew all 72 levels of Mo Pai - or even connected to the lineage period - they would most likely be somewhere in China (or around John's location) -- not on thetaobums.com Sorry, time to face those facts and move on.
-
This thread is done, time to lock it up and throw out the key. No one in here knows a damn thing about Mo Pai, that much is clear. Everyone claiming to have the secrets (for a price) are FRAUDS. True masters don't hock their knowledge through their students, students; especially over an internet forum. I don't care how private a master choses to be, a true master doesn't bother with strangers who don't put forth the effort in seeking real instruction. I've known a few masters in my time and they taught from a pure place, not from a kindle download. Here's a suggestion, learn to Astral project and travel throughout the Astral Plane (5th dimension). There you will find immortals who might be willing to show you the way. John Chang said in 'The Magus of Java' that he was in deep meditation when he spent time in the white/black wave and spoke with God (and his former master on a regular basis), but what he really did was simply Astral project. It was obvious to me that this was the case/method (considering I've projected many times) John was using and that the language barrier was too thick for Kostas to translate the Javanese word for 'Astral'. If you don't believe me, google "masters in the astral plane" and read up on it. To even Astral project in the first place you need to be completely relaxed as if you were in a deep meditation.

So... Dorian, considering the amount of posts you've dedicated to promoting Gary J. Clyman and all his products, can you tell us what you've learned from doing them? What powers have you gained? How has it impacted your daily life? I genuinely would like to know because his price points are really high and this industry is filled with snake oil salesmen.
