How do you personally employ Wu Wei - Non-action - In Daily life?

............. To claim that a particular cultivation always works, every time and for everybody is optimistic to say the least. HTH -
Pay day today. :-)

That doesn't work with darts Mark. Those pro darts players are on the ball and have to be if they hope to take home the dough.

........ It's that explicit 'must' . PP forums surely are people finding out what works for them and sharing it. There are lots of PP threads and loads of methods. One size doesn't fit all. 'May' follow might be more accurate. -

That £350-00 for one day wasn't anyone on here buddy it was a transmission gig by a guy from New Zealand touring England. He charges another £50 for an 'energised' medallion thingy too. Those look to be worth about 50p to make. Nice money if you can get it eh?

Absolute ages since I've been fishing. Aim to catch the cat some dinners from the sea off North Norfolk come next May. Trolling works best for Mackerel. Only bait I use is silver paper. They love it.

....... Hope you are feeling better soon buddy.

That Ya Mu quote you posted above Cat. I'm reading it to imply...... "If this-then-that" . If we do x then y must follow. Hope that's working out for everybody. -
Living at peace with society...

As a workplace union rep I reluctantly have to spend some of my work time alongside vampires and lizards. We call them managers. That sort gravitate to jobs where they might find a chance suck the life out of others. Not all managers are like that just some but the ones that are are real doozies. David Icke has an interesting take on this. Even if the guy is a bit odd, taken as a metaphor; his idea that there are those amongst us who are lizard/vampire sorts, seems pretty sound. May be an off topic in this. let's see. -
They do say that a unicorn may only be led amongst men by a virgin. Hence we seldom see unicorns in public these days.

.........I'm naturally lazy and 'work' in what was called the 'public sector' so non action comes pretty easily. You also get far more done funnily enough. It's when people begin intervening and trying to implement super duper initiatives that things rapidly go pear shaped. Left to itself stuff tends to pan out for the best. -
I found that post funny and we do chat about things south of the equator sometimes so a little humour now and again is fine. It's academic to me as I'm past all that nonsense but Taoism does have room for sexual cultivation and surely we don't have to be upright about it, as I recall and if memory serves then some of that stuff was fun. On topic, I am amazed at just how much some system sellers charge for their wares and as for retreats I saw one recently £350 for a day, not even catered attendees had to pay for lunch on top of that.

Making no contribution to the community apart from issuing posts pushing proprietary product is, to my mind; cheeky. I have nothing against system sellers, some do good work . Jenny Lam for example, she pays for her ads up top and joins in now and again. Other system sellers don't and also close off any seemingly dissident views. My claim that system sellers repackage extant materials for profit is a valid one to make. You don't have to agree with it and can argue to refute it. But to shout someone down for making that claim is, to my mind; just wrong. I don't advertise on here I 'invite' to upcoming events. Our non commercial centre is a 'not for profit' registered social charity, money from the gigs I put on here which as you will have noted is usually £2 or £3 a ticket, helps to keep the doors open with any residue going to our anual charity (Leicester Animal Aid this year). Nobody takes a wage, ever. I do advertise mediumship services elsewhere online and pay to do so. Were I to advertise here then I''d expect to pay as should anyone offering goods and services for sale.

I've found that it can be called 'trolling' on here if one posts something one believes to be contributory to a discussion that someone else doesn't agree with. I'm a lone voice bleating against a particular system seller who appears to abuse the forum to advertise his wares for free and does nothing else by way of constructive contribution to TTB discussions. Every time I raise that issue I'm warned off and attempted debate is futile as disciples accuse one of 'trolling'. Any restriction of freedom of expression is dubious. Abusive posters are easily dealt with but 'trolling' might only exist in the mind of someone who just doesn't like what is being said.

........If one buys into that 'ego' idea then the 'id' has to be taken into account too and possibly indulging the id now and again might be fun. I'm not so sure 'ego' as an idea isn't fairly recent and possibly psychotherapeutic in origin. Could be wrong. Do know in our own field that when I was training to teach 'left and right' brain theories were all the fashion but since tomography came in and brain activity can be seen along with research done with stroke survivors, left and right brain ideas have been discredited in the academy. You still hear them being used as a shorthand to describe a personality type and maybe 'ego' serves a similar purpose, but one is as well served by calling a car a 'pip pip', it's just words and, if those words don't accurately reflect that which they claim to represent; then they are devoid of meaning beyond that which the user thereof chooses to ascribe to them. One person's 'egotist' might well be another's guru.

Never say never. We can't know for sure so best to hedge your bets. Either way, right or wrong nothing's lost. This is a deeply spiritual forum full of spiritually minded posters considering that so many of us aren't exactly what might be called religious. Can't remember who said it or where I read it but this stuck with me .... "God's OK but some of those people claiming to work for him full-time are simply dreadful".

Pyrrhonists believe that true wisdom and happiness lie in the suspension of judgement, since absolute knowledge is impossible to gain. Truth is subjective, and that's the truth.

..... When we lived in London the tale was that every glass of London Water had been through five Londoners already so we filtered it. These days, fluoride excepted, which filters don't remove anyhoo; tap water is good anywhere in the UK and especially good here in the East Midlands.
-
A steel thermos flask and (UK) tap water. Our tap water is far purer and more regularly quality checked than even the most expensive bottled waters which, apart from in places where tap water is unsafe; is a complete waste of money.

I'm a far humbler person since I came on here. ;-)
