"This very readable book lets those who know Dave know him a little more. If you don't know him you'll want to by the end of it. I've shared a bottle, a room and a dojo floor with the man and I've laughed cried and been scared all at the same time sometimes. I found his presence alone inspirational but best of all I have laughed till my stomach ached no matter how many times I've heard or read the stories. Buy it, buy it now then get on the next course he takes and see the man not just talk but do". http://www.amazon.co.uk/Born-Fighter-Dave-Hazard/dp/1844548724/ref=cm_cr_pr_pb_t -
Just as long as the laydees said that he could.

Hemp makes a brilliant textile. I have summer shirts and trews, much better than linen. The rope and clothing farmed hemp is not quite the same strain of hemp that the smoking fraternity favours. Chap told me you'd need to smoke about three hemp suits and a coupla shirts before you got a buzz. -

IS Martial arts still Martial arts
GrandmasterP replied to Xandre Zezo's topic in General Discussion
You'll find similar sentiments over on the MartialTalk Forum too and that's about the biggest MA forum out there. Also this is a running theme in Martial Arts Illustrated magazine, this month there's a leader article along these lines in there. Thing is since Mixed Martial Arts came out there has been the opportunity to see how various MA's actually work out in combat situations and some have come up wanting. It's one thing to play a martial art with others in a nice warm Dojo where everyone knows what to expect and when , quite another to face someone wielding half a brick and ill intent towards one in a dark alley. There is a small spiritual fancy over on MartialTalk but in the main the MA people are in it for the MA rather than the spiritual side. Funny thing really, the spiritual fancy mainly consists of people from the MMA and the Dog Brothers whilst tghose from the 'pure' MA's tend to be physically and externally focused. Not that necessarily you'd guess it from watching them fight but some of those Dog Brothers (includes women) are deeply spiritual folk. Martial Arts Illustrated magazine has regular slots on Tao, TaiChi, QiGong and the internal side, good magazine that is for those interested in these things. As far as recommending a school that's always going to be subjcetive. Pakua's my first liove but there's only one contact dojo in England and that's in London. Chris (Iron Shirt) Lomas in manchester is the real thing but for nyone else i'd say have a trawl on MartialTalk and find what's available locally that might suit you then give it a go. Everywhere welcomes new members and most places offer a taster session free. -
Edward Kelley did similar and look what happened to that lad.

DL enjoys a full English breakfast when at home. Has the makings flown in from London. bacon, sausages, black pudding, the works. Big meat eaters are Tibetans, always puzzled me why the converts who pretend to follow that path over here go veggie. The New Kadampa cafe near us is good and that's pure veg. -

Off to Shangri-La for you my lad. My comments are in direct relation to the OP they simply don't coincide with what you choose to accept. Police officer is a steady and secure job for those suited to it. Or so I'm told.- 16 replies

......... Having a stroke is a bummer, having multiple TIAs well that's just awful and no mistake. Physically many are lucky and get back almost to where they were after a stroke but north of the neck things are never quite the same. You'll know from what the literature and your therapists have told you what sorts of things to expect psychologically. Be well and good luck to you. -

Mate of mine got a job as a lavatory attendant. I asked him how it was going and he told the following tale. "I got junkies coming in shooting up. Yobs puking all over the place drunk out of their skulls. Gay guys cottaging. The odd time somebody comes in to actually take a dump.. Man! it's like a breath of fresh air."- 16 replies

Forcing yourself not to preach/deliver good messages

11-hours and he never paused once, not even to take a wizz! The guy is seriously dedicated to his message. Respect. -
You'd possibly need some experience of the symptoms of psychological problems (mental illness) to enter that differentiation arena with any hope of success and even then there's that school would claim that mentally ill people may possibly be more rather than less prone to entity infestation than someone free of mental health issues. Most exorcists or light workers (call them what you will) peobably take each case on its merits. Since the Church of England insisted on psychiatric assessments prior to exorcism the number of exorcisms their specialists ( one in every diocese) in England has plummeted. Phil Rickman's 'Merrily Watkins' books are well informed. The Reverend Merrily Watkins is Diocesan exorcist for Hereford. The books are fictions but based on genuine exorcist caseload examples. We've done well since that new policy came in a few years ago , because folk can't go to their vicar for a clearance these days then they come to us rather than mess about with Diocesan BS. I seldom did one every couple of years last century but these days, unless it's very local; I turn them away as you could be doing two a week if you wanted to.

http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/david-icke-is-not-the-messiah-or-even-that-naughty-but-boy-can-he-drone-on-8229433.html David Icke's the lad for a proper preach. 11-hours solid he did at Wembley to 6,000 people and never once referred to notes. Now that my friends is a sermon. I don't agree with Ickey on anything he says but you just gotta love the guy for the way, and the length; that he goes about saying it. -
Not that I've noticed but Joanna (my guide) does not approve men wearing hats indoors nor ladies who smoke cigarettes. Forgivable foibles those in someone who last left the body in 1814. She is a terrible nag sometimes though. You just learn to make allowances.

Shangri-La" has become a byword for a mythical utopia, a permanently happy land, isolated from the world. After the Doolittle Raid on Tokyo, when the fact that the bombers had flown from an aircraft carrier remained highly classified, U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt told the press facetiously that they had taken off from Shangri-La. The Navy subsequently gave that name to an aircraft carrier, and Roosevelt named his Maryland presidential retreat "Shangri-La". Later, President Dwight D. Eisenhower renamed the retreat Camp David after his grandson, the name by which it is known today. (Wiki) Not a lot of people know that Camp David was formerly called Shangri-La. Hilton was a hack author and Lost Horizon is reputedly the first 'pulp' paperback ever published. He also wrote Goodbye Mr Chips. Hilton wrote fiction. His sources are speculated on Wiki and elsewhere but the book and the film are fictive ( not real).

Also a degree of nagging (if you have a strong minded female spirit guide).

These true men of old, do you think they ever got man flu or the shits? I bet some of 'em did. Old army officer's mess saying..... 'No man is a hero to his batman.' -
Harris Tweed is yer man for outdoor togs at this time of year. The wetter it gets the warmer it becomes. A good tweed three piece suit, sturdy boots and a tweed Norfolk caped overcoat on top plus a tweed cap and you'll never feel chilly. Also, as the Duke of Edinburgh says Never underestimate the advantages of wearing a tweed tie for keeping the neck warm in winter. These new materials, fleeces and such are non starters compared to tweed.

....... Jenny Lamb does good work. September is a long way so if you can't wait that long try one of the specialists via your local spiritualist organisation. There's seldom any charge made for entity removal although donations are always accepted. Follow the SNUi International link here to find out what is available in your region. http://www.snu.org.uk/

Theory: Psychopathic Mind Origins and Animal Flesh Consumption

We're not completely organic, I give the perennial weeds a blast over with Glyphosate at the start of each season to give the beggars something to think about. If I didn't then there would be little or no crop as we can't be there every hour weeding each day which is what you need to do without weedkiller. They do say that Glyphosate is inert once it reaches the soil its systemic and only kills the weed and roots but as it actually doesn't kill all the roots then I expect it alSo leaves a residue in the soil as some claim on tinternet. Apart from that one treatment nothing goes onto our land except horse and pig muck , rainwater and a lot of sweat. It is a standing joke to me why they subsidise farmers to the extent that they do. This European Agricultural nonsense where farmers are paid to grow too much of something and then mountains of surplus are given away on the one hand then on the other hand and sometimes in the same parish some other farmers are paid not to grow anything at all under 'set aside' policy. One arable chap in this parish has not turned a sod this six years past and he drives round in a brand new Range Rover and lives in grand style, villagers call him 'Subsidy Bob'. Then growing cereals to feed cattle to make meat.... How mad is that? I can almost sympathise with anyone who kills and eats a wild animal for food, some places are none too good for growing edibles so hunting is a necessity, eskimos for example but growing crops to feed animals to make meat to eat... Lunacy. Eat the feckin' crops yourself. -

Preaching only works if it is delivered to the already converted. Spiritualists have never proselytised cos we know it just doesn't work.
