They don't charge anything for their classes here in the UK and all the online resources are free plus the books are very cheap although rather opaque. It's not made many inroads into traditional TaiChi or QiGong classes here in the UK and has had barely a mention in the TaiChi Union mag. Does seem to be very Chinese indeed so maybe has members amongst the Chinese community here, they keep very much to themselves and tend not to mix or integrate to any great extent. I wasn't joking saying it is entirely up to the Chinese government to do as they choose. For all the appearance of state capitalism and a lighter touch they are still a totalitarian regime and it'll be another generation yet or so before the workers begin to agitate for more political freedom to go with their new cars, TVs and washing machines. Totalitarian regimes do not like independent organisations outside of their control, they are no different with the unregistered Christian churches anybody caught meeting in secret in an unauthorised church is in big trouble. That chap who started the Falun Dafa and writes the books lives in the USA by all accounts and in some style and comfort. What I can make of the book I read is that it's a mix of QiGong Plus Spiritualist type healing rather than TCM along with a syncretic cocktail of identity discourse that looks at a cursory glance to have come almost direct via the Christian Israelite canon. He possibly had one of old John Wroe's texts to hand when he wrote some of it, those old books went into China i. Huge numbers from Australia via missionaries early last century and there.'s quite an underground movement by all accounts.

They get paid these days. Farmers pay them and then charge peeeps to view the crop circles. Before that it was just something to do after the pub shut I reckon. They were micro celebs round here when the story first broke. All over the TV and radio locally and there may be a you tube clip or two out there still.

I've read the book and looked at the clips and it looks like QiGong to me. Some of the guys ideas are a bit unusual but then whose aren't? Seems to me that the Chinese Govt simply doesn't take kindly to independent organisations that it can't control. All QiGong and TaiChi teachers in China have to be registered and approved by the government before they can teach. You are doing a good job sharing on here, being honest and up front about how you feel and where you are at right now and I do hope that's helping you. Keep talking and sharing maybe here and also with a qualified therapist who has been trained to listen. Complementary approaches can be good too but use those as an adjunct to not instead of continuing to meet and share with your therapist. I do like your icon, is it St Mark? ......... It generally takes a while for a healer to build up a practice but I do agree that once wors gets out that someone does good work then people flock to them. That chap John of God has charter flights of patients gling down there to see him. Here in UK Ray Brown keeps very busy too. By and large though spiritual healers here in the UK belong to one or other of the healing associations, they don't charge for healing but donations are always accepted. The best known place in the UK is the Harry Edwards healing sanctuary they have an association and run healer training , I think their course lasts for two years with the healers assessed on results.

Western Liberal Equality isn't necessarily a bad thing but I do agree it should not be imposed upon anyone elsewhere who doesn't want it. It is imposed here in the west to some extent for example equality legislation to ensure equal rights but ... diffrn't strokes for diffrn't folks. What's your alternative model Sree?

Not heard about sleep meditation but have come across sleep learning. Little speakers under your pillow pumping out whatever it is you need to know, apparently it goes straight into deep memory. Had a student once who swore by it and she took a first.

Maybe the one where the majority of people think it's tolerable and get to vote if they want to? Academic to me as I don't vote, ever. It only encourages the feckers.

Very clever are pigs, we've got one and she's a lot brighter than most dogs. You keep a pig you never need to do much deep digging, pig does it for you and enjoys it too. How anybody could eat a pig.......... They do say that a pig's about as close as you get to human physiology hence they can use some pig parts for human spares. Not sure I agree with that either but then I've not needed any spare parts thus far.
