'Pollock' is close enough. Nothing more uneasy on the eye than a gallery full of Pollocks.

Producing physiological effects from heat?
GrandmasterP replied to mike 134's topic in General Discussion
It's a good cultivation is generating heat, anybody can do it given time and intention. Hold energy ball and turn round move in the 8 strands is a good 'in' to doing that for anyone who fancies having a go. You'll not come to any harm from generating hot hands or feet but I'd be careful about randomly directing heat either internally within yourself or externally by contact or near contact onto someone else. It might mess up equilibrium. -
The Prophet Elijah and John the Baptist
GrandmasterP replied to Immortal4life's topic in General Discussion
The whole Bible is a record of practical spiritualism. Apports, manifestations, angels, talking donkeys, seers, scryers, pythonesses, prophets ( old name for mediums), physical seances; reincarnation, the whole shebang. Cracking book here for anyone interested... http://www.amazon.co.uk/First-Encounter-With-Angel-Revelations/dp/1891850210/ref=sr_1_sc_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1357221606&sr=8-1-spell- 9 replies

Good luck to you buddy. Word to the wise though. Try to keep to the front row in a class. There's a degree of breaking wind involved in Yoga and it can get a bit ripe on the back row.

On Sacred Geometry/Art as a cultivation method
GrandmasterP replied to skydog's topic in General Discussion
Just reading about sacred geometry last night funnily enough in relation to how ancient churches and cathedrals were laid out by the masons who built them. There's a heck of a lot of hermetic mysticism hidden in plain sight in some of those ancient buildings. -
Some dogs can smell cancers and I know a clairsentient medium and healer who can do the same. Glad that's not one of my own clairs though. It's smelly enough round here with the animals as it is without any more pongs.

The medium who does it at ours always has a full room for her past lives workshop. It's very popular.

I don't think that we can 'see' our future life as such due to free will (our own plus the free will of those we interact with) but we do get premonitions. Future has to be a bit in flux as it hasn't happened yet insofar as we are aware of it happening. Probably just as well too, some stuff we'd maybe rather be surprised about than having to dwell on it coming.

"In some places Buddha is worshipped like a God. There are only two types of people in the world: those who try to stuff their inner emptiness, and those very rare precious beings who try to see the inner emptiness. Those who try to stuff it remain empty, frustrated. They go on collecting garbage, their whole life is futile and fruitless. Only the other kind, the very precious people who try to look into their inner emptiness without any desire to stuff it, become meditators. Meditation is looking into your emptiness, welcoming it, enjoying it, being one with it, with no desire to fill it -- there is no need, because it is already full. It looks empty because you don't have the right way of seeing it. You see it through the mind; that is the wrong way. If you put the mind aside and look into your emptiness, it has tremendous beauty, it is divine, it is overflowing with joy. Nothing else is needed, certainly not Buddha". (Osho)

Check out MartialTalk forum for the MA side . http://www.martialtalk.com/forum/forum.php This is the best place for the internal stuff but for classes and centres to actually train in and teachers to learn an MA from then that external MA site might be your best.

Said it before. More men than women talking about spirituality online. Many more women than men 'doing' spirituality in churches, temples and centres.

Conversation is what we enjoy with friends. Gossip is what the absent friends we were conversing about call it.

Anything , like the Masons; that the Roman Catholic Church specifically bans has to be OK in my books. -
That cheque for £135 hasn't arrived yet. I trust that it is 'in the post' . Milk cows have a nice enough deal, it's their male calfs whose life expectancy leaves something to be desired. Crated pigs too, lambs also plus broiler chicks and don't get me started on veal! Bit of a poor deal is being both sentient and edible. Now I'm a great believer in both karma and reincarnation, were I to be a meat eater I'd maybe have to consider the potential future consequences of biting into that piece of meat. What goes round comes round.

It's a registered charity so they will have been checked out plus they advertise kids classes so the staff will all have been CRB 'cleared' too. Not sure if they are officially connected to the Shaolin Temple in China but good luck if they are. That one in China is a tourist circus, literally. They have coach tours go there and put on three shows a day in the tourist season, it's like a Wushu version of Disneyland and nothing wrong with that. The Chinese franchise holders also have touring companies of monks who travel the world putting on pretty impressive stage shows. I belong to what is possibly the biggest MA forum on t'internet and folk on there are pretty sniffy about the Shaolin 'brand' but I reckon whether they be acrobats or cultivators they are what they are , totally brilliant at what they do and good luck to 'em. We saw the Shaolin monks show when they came to Birmingham a couple of years ago and it was fabulous, one of the best things I've ever seen on a stage.

Plus there could be an infinite number of Priestesses of Isis in an infinite series of multiverses so it could happen but why would they all choose to be reincarnated within commuting distance of Leicester? It's a nice place sure enough but we do seem to have an incredibly high number of folk who were something super spiffy in a past life. Maybe our centre attracts them, one of the mediums runs a regular past life regression workshop. They don't use inducted hypnotism, she uses guided meditation to get them into the zone, similar outcome to inducted hypnosis but the attendees are not fully 'under'. We can't afford the insurance for full hypnotism as our insurers would charge us the same huge premiums that the stage hypnotists have to pay.

That was a good way to spend Christmas, all merit to your brother.

Plenty of yoga teachers and classes out there, enjoy. Like TaiChi, Yoga classes are a great way to socialise and meet new people too.

Imam Ahmad transmitted the hadiths of placing one's hands on one's chest in his Musnad and was certainly aware of the hadiths transmitted on this matter.
