  1. Tired of people materialising yoga

Spot on buddy, we have endless opportunities to either feck up or get it right thank goodness. Even the bad times this time around might prove to be useful lessons next time we pop back. Onwards and upwards. You were a sufi-dervish in a past life once sinan so you must resonate with what Recep is saying a bit No?
  2. demonic mantra

    Ouch!
  3. demonic mantra

Slamming your d*ck in a door. That's bad. Redundancy That's bad. Being told by a doctor.... "Sorry you're riddled with it there's nothing we can do so don't waste your money buying any DVD box sets" That's bad Finding a maggot in the apple you have just bitten into. That's bad Finding half a maggot in same apple That's even worse. Christmas... That's good Yaaaaaay Bring it on Santa!
  4. Spiritual Lineage Explained

Check out that new AC biog mate, link under Hermetic, it's good stuff. Horses for courses is Hermetic Transmission , 'follow the money' and 'caveat emptor' etc....
  5. Tien Tao Chi kung

Maybe best to read the entire book?
  6. Tired of people materialising yoga

Aye, if wishes were carriages then beggars would ride in fine style.
  7. Religion is the poison of Spirituality

Feck the universal statements sifu, were they carnations or roses? ;-)
  8. Crowley's TTC

Do you think so K? I found it a bit turgid to read. Flowing Hands version is much more poetic. Do remember that the old rogue was a complete con man, he no more 'walked in China' than my cat can dance a tango. Closest he got to China was in 1902 scrapping with his mate halfway up K2, as you can read on page 123 here... http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/reader/0898865883/ref=sr_1_3?p=S03K&keywords=Aleister+crowley+mountaineer&ie=UTF8&qid=1355674908 Excellent new biog on AC just published is well worth looking at too.... http://www.amazon.co.uk/Aleister-Crowley-Biography-Spiritual-Revolutionary/dp/1780283849/ref=sr_1_fkmr0_3?s=books&ie=UTF8&qid=1355675301&sr=1-3-fkmr0
  9. Spiritual Lineage Explained

Looks like The Great Beast was a better mountaineer than ever he was a TTC translator. 'Turgid' springs to mind.
  10. demonic mantra

In a bull ring the sombra (shady side) seat tickets cost twice as much as those in the sun.
  11. Religion

Yep. The muslim Kashmiri shopkeepers attended a different mosque to the locals, had their own imam too. Here in Leicester there are some eight different sects of Islam mainly denominated by where the attendees come from but big differences between the Shia ones a(where the Sufis go) and the Sunni ones, those guys are their version of our Protestant and Catholic, they just do things that bit differently from each other. Birds of a feather flock together. Twas ever thus.
  12. For Saggy Bums

Only way bro. None but a well bent mind truly seeks to follow the Tao.
  13. detachment and bliss?

Ah the trick with Osho was that nobody in the know actually believed 'in' him just now and again he came up with something you could nod sagely to and go "yeah that makes sense" . We really really believed in the Rolls Royces and fancy watches. I still do, so should everyone, they can be seen on YouTube, the guy had them, for free; from rich idiots. Those puppies were real.
  14. demonic mantra

Can't have light without shadow and vice versa.
  15. Shift of the Ages - the Mayan message

Native Americans are traditionally named for the first thing the father sees on leaving the teepee after mom gives birth to them so Wandering Wolf got a result. His older brother 'Two Dogs F*cking'' was less fortunate.
  16. Everyone post some favorite quotes!

    Cats have staff, not owners.
  17. The Tao Of Nietzsche

Well he did have tertiary syphilis. Tends to colour folks opinions of a speaker, him not having a nose and all. But how did he smell? You may ask.......
  18. Spiritual Lineage Explained

http://deoxy.org/taowley.htm There ya go K I've Pasted up in the Hermetic Thread too.
  19. Religion

We had a Sikh security guard at our Indian compound and he ate with us. High caste Xtian (yes Xtian) Indian chap visiting refused to eat with us until someone went out and bought him new cutlery and a cup and plate so that he would not be eating or drinking from anything the Sikh guy might have used. The Xtians in South India are as caste-ist if not more so than the Hindus, they even have different churches for the different grades of Xtian, one church for fishermen and the like and a nicer one for the upper caste sorts. You can tell who is who too, the lower caste ones are smaller and darker skinned than the taller paler upper caste sorts who intermarried with Portuguese colonists back in the day.
  20. Religion is the poison of Spirituality

    ....... Red Carnations I reckon.
  21. Shift of the Ages - the Mayan message

I'll be in Tesco doing our Christmas Grocery Shopping on Friday 21st of December. Anybody need anything?
  22. Tired of people materialising yoga

    Very flexible, Yoginis.
  23. Spiritual Lineage Explained

The Xtians were pretty good at morphing extant deities into their pantheon when they took over. Plenty of Saxon churches round here are built on earlier presumably sacred earthworks and ritual sites many along what have become known as 'ley' lines and might have been earlier pre-Xtian ritual routes or some such. Phil Rickman the novelist covers a lot of that area in a most entertaining yet informed way. Aleister Crowley was one of the leading mountaineers of his day. Not a lot of people know that but it's true. He pioneered techniques and kit still in use today for difficult traverses of overhangs. The magician schtick was a bit of a hobby towards meeting gullible rich women and getting laid. Alan Watts the Theosophist mage was much the same with the Buddhism. Anyone claiming hermetic gnosis these days is deluded or a con man, possibly both; as all of it is either re-imagining or simply made up.
  24. Is Jesus it that cannot be named in Tao?

MLM is a good analogy. Once saw a prospectus for Servicemaster MollyMaid domestic cleaning franchise and Item 1 of their company vision statement was.... "To serve God. Item 2... "Honor God in all we do" They are the biggest franchising company in the world. RotaRooter is one of theirs too.
  25. .......... Some people just get so locked into negativity it's almost as though they enjoy being that way. There was a chap called Frank on the allotments who was so negative about everyone and everything that he came to be known as 'Brutally Frank'.
