Not at the moment . Past my bedtime. :-)
  2. Religion is the poison of Spirituality

And do they listen when you tell 'em that bro? Nah....
  3. Vedanta: Seven Steps to Samadhi

  4. Religion is the poison of Spirituality

You could usually tell the baddies from the goodies in the old cowboy movies. The baddies wore black hats and smoked or else they were Indians. The goodies tended towards white hat wearing , won in the end and always got the girl. Things were much simpler back in the old days.
  5. Anyone here interested in ASMR?

8 Strands of Silk Brocade standing form QiGong, done regularly; can promote Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response.
  6. Religion is the poison of Spirituality

I nursed in what were then termed special hospitals for the criminally insane Broadmoor, Rampton and Moss Side and a unit (since closed) up on the moors above Ramsbottom that did not officially exist at the time cos it housed inmates who, had Joe Public known where to find them there would have been a vengeful mob at the gates every day. Interesting work and you never ever turned your back on a patient. Very few of them could give a coherent reason for the actions that brought them under our care but amongst those who did 'The Devil told me to do it' . Or 'an evil spirit made me ' were popular closely followed by 'the voices...'.
  7. Buddhism is perfectly Buddhist but it's useless at Methodism and vice versa. Whatever gets you there is what gets you there, the path itself is not the destination.
  8. HaHa Yoga

Top man Shiva. The Shivaite wallahs we came across in India were jolly sorts not averse to the occasional toot.
  9. Near Death and Out of Body Experiences

Just one RDE* and boom.... Instant knowledge. *Real Death Experience
  10. The Absolute Present

    http://astronomy-links.net/cosmofallacies.htm Enjoy.
  11. Religion is the poison of Spirituality

Well you could factor out spirituality then and simply say that some people do nasty things to others and use religion as an excuse for doing so. Maybe we need to define spirituality. My take on it kinda excludes being nasty to others.
  12. HaHa Yoga

That'd work too, but the drug dealers might be a bit miffed.
  13. The Absolute Present

I wonder. If one's face was travelling at the speed of light then how might the light travel from face to mirror in order to be reflected back? It's a puzzle for sure.
  14. HaHa Yoga

Last time I saw something like that it had cost me fifty pence (ten shillings as was) for a tab of acid to get there. You could make a fortune selling that material to burnt out old hippies man.
  15. Religion is the poison of Spirituality

....... You beat up five people today? Respect bro! Get round to that dojo in Stockwell I told ya about they are always on the lookout for handy lads.
  16. Religion is the poison of Spirituality

Not to derail the thread but I was in a Turkish Bath house in Istanbul once a 'hamam'. The massive massage guy doing the business put me into positions I never knew possible, sorted out my bad back a treat it did and cost about one pound (two dollars back then).
  17. HaHa Yoga

Ah that took me back a ways. Man I loved the late sixties! You have made an old man happy Flofolil. Thank you. PS (That lady in black with the pearls was doing 'scoop clear water from stream' from 8 Strands of Silk Brocade standing form)
  18. Fibbonacci Haiku

8+13=21 It would be a jolly long line after a very short time if you carried on thus. (I was rather pleased with the above) ;-)
  19. Religion is the poison of Spirituality

Well when I was taught history in an English Primary School back in the fifties the text books were still gloating about 'our' brave Redcoats capturing Washington. Turns out they were all drunk as skunks and behaved execrably. Similar thing with Napoleon, figure of hate in our text books back then was Napoleon, not so in the French equivalents. Tom Paine, England's greatest gift to the free world and American democracy... Not a flippin' word about old Tom were we taught. Powerful thing is 'education' those who control the primary (US elementary) school curriculum influence the future in subtle ways.
  20. Vedanta: Seven Steps to Samadhi

No it definitely is free, try it.
  21. HaHa Yoga

...... Well if that isn't in the true merry spirit of Vedanta then I don't know whatever else could be. Seems like sometimes, some folk are never happier than when they are being miserable. It's not a law that spirituality has to be gloomy is it? Read Lee Prosser, Vedanta can be a blast. http://www.amazon.co.uk/Isherwood-Bowles-Vedanta-Wicca-ebook/dp/B0078K4N0I/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&qid=1355088752&sr=8-2
  22. HaHa Yoga

....... With deep respect Adept, Vedanta is neither frozen in time nor preserved in Aspic hence laughter yoga is as valid as any other manifestation.
  23. HaHa Yoga

No new age hippie garbage allowed in the Vedanta forum apparently. We know our place. ;-) Anyone tried laughter yoga or similar?
  24. cussing and daytime boggie man to boot

    Quite lovely they are. ;-)
  25. cussing and daytime boggie man to boot

I can see that. But you can't see a typical English barmaid.
