  1. Third LAW of Creation

Goats would eat em. WOW Brilliant idea. Feed goats birth control pills. No more goat kids. Crops get to grow again. Africans get to eat crops. Job done. Give that man a Nobel Prize.
  2. The Dao De Jhing is a shamanistic treatise

To a Shaman TTC's a shamanistic text. Bit like the Bible for Xtians in a way I suppose. Only one book more or less but all sorts of Xtians having it say all sorts of different things to suit their own particular standpoint. Koran too maybe. One Koran but there's a big difference between Sufis say and Taliban types. Talmud the Jews have , orhodox Jews interpret that very differently from how the liberal Jews do. I'm no TTC expert, can't read Chinese for one thing but I have been in Taiwan and Singapore and the Taoists there are very pragmatic and also very different from one another in some ways too. Nobody seemed to be selling TTC. Amulets, charms, merchandise of all fascinating sorts yes but no TTC. I liked that. Taoism over there was just a natural part of life, very down to earth and practical. We are very text oriented here in the west.
  3. Third LAW of Creation

Send a goat to Africa instead of Xmas cards this year. Charity ad a few Xmases ago. Many did, Africans got loads of goats. Goats ate feckin everything then beggared off. Africans left in worse place than they had been before the goat rush.

  7. ... There's no need to argue anymore ...

Yep. Max Glatt (addiction chap, left his body now), worth looking at. Will try for a link. http://www.google.co.uk/search?q=max+glatt+chart&hl=en&tbo=u&tbm=isch&source=univ&sa=X&ei=AVWpUPeCGqHK0AWW_IGQAQ&ved=0CFsQsAQ&biw=1024&bih=672#biv=i|1;d|mCSJqMbBOKzu4M: There ya go. That inverted bell curve posits a place just beyond the bottom and on the upward right side.. "Honest desire for help" Now that's the first time endogenous motivation kicks in. No matter what exogenous interventions are made prior to that happening, nothing will ever work. You might like to try Googling.. "Glatt and Popper ". Glatt was one of our teachers when I was training for psychy nursing. A truly brilliant man, a fine teacher and someone who made a positive difference. May the earth rest lightly upon his bones.
  8. Science

............. Would that be.... Orthodox Reformed Liberal First Church of Or the Whirling Tzu-Janists MH? ;-)
  9. Qigong and manifestation

Desire is the kicker. Positive visualisation is good, but desire only leads to increasing frustration cos it is founded in and from frustration. I desire X. Hence right now I do not have X so I am X-lessley unfulfilled. X will make everything OK. Ah I have X . Shit! Things are still the same, and this X is nowhere near as good as I thought it would be.. Now if only I had a Y..... And so on, round and round the carousel. This you do not get with trees. Tree just kinda stands there, rooted, being the best tree a tree can be. Quite naturally. You cultivate with trees and you have some good and very wise old teachers Sinan. :-)
  10. Spring Forest Qigong

We are each doing the same thing sister Cat. In different ways. One mountain, many paths.
  11. WORLD WAR 3 HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN

  14. WORLD WAR 3 HAS OFFICIALLY BEGUN

28th December according to the Almanack so you're a bit quick off the mark yet buddy.
  15. ... There's no need to argue anymore ...

The exogenous has no effect without endogenous motivation .
  16. Metaphysical musings

    Mmmmmmmm Honey :-) Lovely stuff.

  18. World Medicine of Tao

2% +\- That's the percentage of first class degrees awarded each year in UK universities. The remainder of students being content to snooze and make do with a 2-2 or less.
  19. Spring Forest Qigong

How could I possibly know that Cat? The OP is free to choose and has access to a free resource s/he may have been unaware of prior to posting. Hence a wider choice. All good surely?
  20. World Medicine of Tao

http://www.fitpro.com/news/index.php/2011/02/herbal-remedies-to-be-banned/ This may be of interest. By the by. Do NOT attempt to make your own herbal potions or concoctions unless you really know what you are doing. Herbal does not necessarily mean non-toxic and active ingredient strength can vary depending on time and season collected and across species. The definition of a poison is..... Any substance which, if taken in sufficient quantity, may endanger life. Don't make and take anything you have not been trained to identify, classify, pick and prepare-properly.
  21. Spring Forest Qigong

Saving is better than spending where savings may be made.
  22. Spring Forest Qigong

As I said Cat I make no comment on individual advertisers, to do so would be unprofessional and possibly contrary to forum rules as you are a moderator; I am sure that you are in no wise coercing such a response. May be different where you are but here in recession bitten Blighty if someone has a free resource to share..........
  23. Is it "healthy"?

Obsessive Compulsive 'Disorder' has a bright side. OCD people make super diligent cultivators and as a result the OCD kinda gets better in some aspects. Bit like dyslexia, best teachers in the world are dyslexics, they truly understand the struggling students's pain.
  24. Spring Forest Qigong

We teach Baduanjin 8 strands of silk brocade standing form. That is as good, but no better than any other QiGong form cultivated diligently. They all 'do' the same things at various levels, the first level; and the one we major in being general improvement in health and increased mobility. That form amongst all the major others is free to all via the link I continue to post. As one progresses, should one choose to do so; other advantages may become apparent but you'd need to be with a qualified teacher, physically in the same room as you whilst you learn; in order to properly engage with those Cat. Transmission does not transmit via DVD or the printed word, neither medium being able to give prompts or feedback on present performance. I have PMd my qualifications to teach to you. Really HTH
  25. World Medicine of Tao

Crikey that would be a big list for Britain and one I don't have but from memory of the newspaper coverage at the time... The back street abortifacient sellers were amongst the first to go. A particular proprietary 'stomach remedy' containing kaolin and morphine much favoured by drug abusers. Various herbal concoctions found to contain toxic impurities. Petro Balsam (carcinogenic). Bronze Maggot Dye (carcinogenic). Related link here.... http://www.fitpro.com/news/index.php/2011/02/herbal-remedies-to-be-banned/
