Both books are useful in that they view the same person through two very different subjective lenses.

Enjoy that liquor til you need it no more brother Chen. :-( All respect to Mr McMillan, I read his book recently, thoroughly enjoyed it and would recommend it without reservation to anyone interested in his take on the MoPai as he knew it, where and when he was involved with some of them. What struck me though was that as someone coming to the MoPai from an explicitly Xtian mindset Mr. McMillan was possibly less receptive to some aspects of the MoPai in relation to the spiritualistic than maybe someone who was comfortable with those concepts would be. I don't know that for sure never having met Mr. McMillan in person but he is pretty explict in condemning spirits as 'demons' in his book.

You'll travel a long way to find anywhere with more wizards, shamans and assorted trades per head of population than you'll find in the religious and cultural melting pot of Malaysia. That said wherever anyone lives, if that is the sort of thing that they are looking for, then they'll find it pretty locally.

Yep we changed our physical environment recently. Jet washed and sand blasted the patio, all the moss has gone now and it looks much better. Not so slippery now either. Maybe it is your destiny not to believe in Karma this time around MH. For sure if you did drop and smash the glassware on your floor you could believe in the cuts on your feet if you did not clear it up pretty quickly.

It really is a bit off doing that chaps. Someone goes to the trouble of writing a book and publishing it on Kindle for next to no cost at all and next thing someone goes and pinches it and puts it out for free. That cannot be right at all. If everybody did that there would be no books published and authors would starve. You really are taking the rice out of the mouths of someone's children by doing this sort of thing.

Well said. Far too many folk get hung up on writing and talking about cultivation and then come unstuck because some are using different words or terms for the same thing and the next step is that they begin insisting it is not the same thing because the words or characters are slightly different. Best way is simply to get on and cultivate.
