How is Taoism Relative to Bums?

Well it's the space inside the cup more than the cup itself that does the job. Round here the very rich folk eat grouse and pheasant (and poor folk's babies). -

Some questions regarding Kundalini Awakening

Yep you can stop it anytime. Run the sequence anti clockwise simply visualising gates closing. Breathe in at entrance to gate and out as you close it. Might take up to nine cycles but it works. No rush, take your time Here's a useful cultivation to realign and open the 'proper' gates. 'Chakras' are just so wrong on so many levels. Wrong place, wrong function. Will post a gate sequence if I can copy n paste one for you HTH -

Grandmaster Chang had a visitor who came to inquire about cultivation. But instead of listening, the visitor kept talking about his own ideas. After a while, Grandmaster Chang served tea. He poured tea into his visitor's cup until it was full, and then he kept on pouring. Finally the visitor could not restrain himself. "Don't you see it's full?" he said. "You can't get any more in!" "Just so," replied Grandmaster Chang, stopping at last. "And like this cup, you are filled with your own ideas. How can you expect me to give you cultivation advice unless you offer me an empty cup?" Tea anyone? -

SEKKYO said to one of his monks, "Can you get hold of Emptiness?" "I'll try" said the monk, and he cupped his hands in the air. "That's not very good," said Sekkyo. "You haven't got anything in there!" "Well, master," said the monk, "please show me a better way." Thereupon Sekkyo seized the monk's nose and gave it a great yank. "Ouch!" yelled the monk. "You hurt me!" "That's the way to get hold of Emptiness!" said Sekkyo. -

Some questions regarding Kundalini Awakening

.........Best tip I'd say might be... Don't do it. But good luck if you decide to carry on. QiGong'll get you there and maybe even further plus it's far safer too. Then again I would say that cos I teach it. -

Spot on Jetsun. It's all Tao, whatever packaging it comes in.

My posting is a retelling of an old Taoist story describing where religions all spring from Marius. If you are interested in comparative religion as an academic study then you'd possibly be better starting with wiki and Google rather than here. But actually it's not an academic study you are after, you wish to scratch an 'itch' of belief, don't you? Taoism is a nice place for folks such as yourself so you are doubly welcome here. If I'm wrong then do PM me if you would like some links to comparative religion sites or papers. HTH

Those two old metaphors God and his twin brother the Devil were looking down at a hermit's cave wherein the hermit had just attained enlightenment. 'Nothing here for you to do here now dear brother' said God to the Devil. 'Oh I think not'... replied the Devil, smiling knowingly. 'After he has left his body, that hermit's disciples will found a religion based on their ideas about what he taught them. And those sorts of things keep me very busy indeed'.

Some questions regarding Kundalini Awakening

Beware Kundalini psychosis. Some symptoms described here sound somewhat similar to what's in the medical journals. The 'mind' consciously willing towards manifestation of these episodes is what is potentially most at risk. Sharing such praxes could be akin to 'folie a deux' [look it up] . Taoist Qi cultivation could not be further from what is being discussed here. Each to their own, but do be very careful guys. -

Never especially original my old teacher was wont to remind us that over each seven years of life every cell in our body has completely changed. Also that there is...no past, no future just an indivisible, indescribable yet experiential 'Now'. That said, as a young man he was known to have taken industrial quantities of LSD. Good teacher though. -

Poor wee lamb just needs someone warm to hold him. Comics are OK up to, but never beyond age 12 after that; you got a problem. The old Zen masters had the right idea. Swift clip round the head brought many an erring disciple into the path. That Tai Chi Union UK are very generous. Almost all their member magazine articles are free to view on their website. -

Along with disociated young men who spend far too much time in front of a computer. Someday your prince will come. Fear not bro. -
Works every time.... for cultivators. Anybody else.... it don't work or not reliably.

Try this at home. Make a small pendulum. Anything will do. A ring on a short length of cotton is fine. Hold it two inches above your Yin palm. Really steady. Verbally order it to... Tell me yes. And focus on it to do so. It will begin to circle. Repeat but this time say.... Tell me No. It will swing a short straight line. Works every time. Once you have trained your pendulum it will help you to make decisions.

Big Indian community in Leicester but many of them come to us rather than their own temples for readings around business and big ticket purchases. I did 'bless' a new car for somebody once. Not sure that made it any the more reliable but the owner seemed happy enough. Mrs GrandmasterP and some of the other sisters at ours make and sell wrist malas ["No-Worry Beads"] for centre funds. Amazing who you see buying and wearing those. One of the lady-vicars at Leicester Anglican Cathedral wears one. If it works then it aint superstition.
