The Reeperbahn was it? Went down that road back in army days in Hamburg. Man but those ladies were friendly. For some reason they seemed to have me mixed up with some guy they all knew called 'Johnny'.

'Retention' thread section... " STOP THAT NOW!"
-
Pali section...? " Sutta and See"

Nope. Taoist hats are ' Silly' hats. ( A hat with a hole in the top defeats the object of 'hat') Buddhist hats are 'Funny' hats. ( Mirth inducing but no hole in the top hence NOT silly , just risible)". " The Cauldron" was the title of a short lived magazine aimed at the Wicca sorority ( and fraternity but to a lesser extent). Quote from the editor's page , final edition.... " I can't understand it. We published the first edition at the correct phase of the moon, worked the right rituals for every success. Every edition had a sigil for sales on the front page. Yet still hardly anyone bought The Cauldron, so this is the final issue." Three months it lasted.

Summer solstice was last week. Powerful times are solstice times and at June 20th the OP is pretty close to solstice. Nothing here to report though. All 'as usual' cultivation wise albeit I've been 'inner smiling' at a temporarily troublesome organ of late. That brings the 'new puppy' tingle now and again. I think inner smile's supposed to have that or similar effects.

Try 'edit' then re-post.If the original was set out properly in sentence/ paragraph format then your post will appear likewise the second time around. Very few people bother to read blocks of text such as your OP here. I did read it and am glad to hear you copied it as it's BS. Also, if copying it's usual ( and polite) to cite the source by referencing or a link to the original. Saves anyone with better things to do wading through the entire canon of Pali Sutta or whichever other textual source or sources you've quoted. That one above appears to be from the 'Path of Purification' sutta and might best be referenced thus... http://www.accesstoinsight.org/lib/authors/nanamoli/PathofPurification2011.pdf Followed by which page number of the almost 800 pages you have taken that quote from. Hope that helps. BTW... Quick factoid on 'retention' threads online. 99% of retention boosters posting online are young men currently without a significant other. There would appear to be a direct correlation between frequency of retention posts and absence of hugs. Once a significant other appears, the 'retention boosting' poster disappears. -
Yeah. That old stuff eh? Pshawww!

The "Official" Mo Pai & "Things You Might Not Know About Real Mo Pai" Thread
GrandmasterP replied to SonOfTheGods's topic in General Discussion
' John Chang' never existed. That, along with 'Lightning Jack' were pseudonyms. The gentleman featured in ancient Youtube clips and and Jim n Kosta's dated books is a retired businessman who, some twenty years ago and more was caught up in unwanted and unwarranted publicity. As a result of that unsought publicity the gentleman was asked to step down from an honorary position within the MoPai clan. That was a serious 'loss of face' and occasion for great shame resulting in that gentleman retiring from public life and latterly from his business interests. That gentleman's oldest son, who carries on the family sea food restaurant, prawn farming and property businesses has requested that his father and family be left alone. Hence no one here nor anywhere else can ever be 'taught' by ' John Chang' anymore than anyone not born into the MoPai clan can become a MoPai. Anyone wishing to learn more about something called 'MoPai' might be as well PM- ing KenBrace or LeoViridis on here as " John Chang' aint taking calls. -

When we had 'volunteer' unpaid MPs the only people who could afford to be MPs were aristocrats and wealthy landed gentry. That wasn't good.

Darryl gets $75 a head for his stadium gigs. That is a nice piece of change for Darryl cos Bashar doesn't take a cut. The lad keeps busy so somebody is paying to hear him. -
If I get silly PMs ( seldom on TTB but elsewhere sometimes) I can succumb to PM-Tetchiness. A guy PM'd me an entire copy n pasted book from the Bible one time.

A Mindful Poem Here's a really rather wonderful poem by a fellow funeral celebrant, Jonathan Taylor, who works down in Devon. He is part of the Green Fuse network. It seems to me a mindfulness primer, a miniature tutorial in how to live well; I think I'd trust a man who can write this to see me off under the ground! The "hinge" in the middle works so well, and the last word makes what seems to me, coming after the rest of the poem, a profound point. Well, see what you think. My Last Day They say live each day as if it were your last. Well, I ask you, how impractical can you get? If today had been my last day I wouldn't have wasted it going to work! I'd have gone to see my loved ones to tell them of the joy they give me; how their love has enriched my life; how sad I am to be leaving them alone without me; to be leaving the world where they live; how full of regret I'm feeling. They'd get pretty pissed off with me if I did that every day. I've got a better idea. Why not live each day as if it were your first? You'd spend your life marvelling at the fabulous, vibrant, living world around you. Taking nothing for granted you'd rediscover love every day. You'd always be aware of what your loved ones mean to you, how they delight you even when they're being horrible. You'd want to give all of your love to anyone who cared to receive it, to share in the miracle of life with every solitary and universal heartbeat. You'd trust anyone, unless they proved themselves unworthy; and you wouldn't care if they did - wisdom would be their gift to you. You'd be happy, and free, and every moment would overflow with ridiculous promise. Let the first be first and the last be first. And then move on, unready.

1000 Dollars for Transcendental Meditation?
GrandmasterP replied to Everything's topic in General Discussion
A product or service is worth whatever the seller can get for it. It's fair to say that there's a lot of rebranding and selling on goes on in 'our' areas. Somebody goes on a course, rips off the ideas then slightly alters things just enough to keep the lawyers away and then sells it on as their own product. As a result the commercial players have to keep bringing out 'new and improved' courses too just to keep ahead of the game. Thing is, when you unpick what is on offer, as a rule; all the basic info is free somewhere online. Certainly enough to get anybody started. There was a commercial operator advertised on here via a banner who charged a small fortune for 'entity removal' when the same service can be had for free or at minimal cost at any spiritualist centre. Caveat Emptor! -
I'm considering renaming my Forum - Opinions Please!

Rename may be a good idea. I've never looked at it cos I thought it had to do with Star Wars movies.- 15 replies
