Primordial qigong aka Tai Chi for Enlightenment
Shagrath replied to liminal_luke's topic in Daoist Discussion
It is similar form but movements are quite different (hand positions, some hand movements and yes that extra movement). I don't know how to explain difference except that John Miltons version just clicked with me. I've been doing qigong for few years now (nothing special, just bunch of exercises that I was taught by few taiji teachers) and I feel energy flow in my body. I found online michael winn version and soon I bought rubbos and binsongs to complete knowledge of that form because all three of them learned that form from the same teacher. While doing that form I didn't feel anything special but I just kept doing it because it is beneficial form. Than after few months I found John Miltons version, bought it and it was best investment so far. When I heard exercise explanations and did the exercises I had a feeling THAT IS IT. I felt deeper connection with energy from the first time, more grounded etc. I would really recommend that version from the heart. PS: I am not in any way connected with that product nor I have any profit from it. -
Primordial qigong aka Tai Chi for Enlightenment

John P Milton says that it is originally called Wuji Taiji. I tried Michael Winn, Donald Rubbo and Cheng Binsongs version and it was nothing special at all. Eventually I got my hands on John P Miltons version which I believe it is authentic because he learned it on Wudang mountain (on which that form was born) and it was quite different experience. I would highly recommend John Miltons version over all the others. -

Well, this is only one small fragment of entire teaching. I did all those tratak meditations, also I used mantras for third eye and 6th chakra but this approach with whole system gave be best results and it really changed me from inside out
-
No, it is integrated approach. But does it matter really if it works?
-
silas go to page 2 of this thread and look at 18th post. It has link inside it. that is the best third eye development curriculum that I ever tried and that gave the best results. it doesn't mean it's perfect but it worked for me and many of my friends.

Spiritual growth and the strain on marriage
Shagrath replied to Nikolai1's topic in General Discussion
Hi Nikolai1, I totally agree with wise word of cat. She summed it up really nicely. I would like just to add few more thoughts. It is very common to be rebellious in the first phase of spiritual quest. During spiritual development everybody encounters some friction with people that are not into it until you realize that there is no spirituality, there is only your concept of it. Partners represent our opposite (yin to our yang and vice versa) to challenge our ideas for us to question our existence and lead to spiritual development by overcoming tension with our beloved and finding some middle path in our relationship and in the world. Breaking up because lack of understanding would be easy way out and it represents our weakness and our failure to find the Divine in another person. If you really find your way to communicate and you are deeply connected with each other, have true compassion and then if you realize that she is not the One then its fine. It not a breakup it is just life path separation while still being in love, and it really courageous and brave thing to do. In spiritual development next to maturation of consciousness there are also many traits that are developing. Some of them would be self-confidence, spontaneity, charity, communication, influence, orientation to others, helping others, selflessness (giving), flexibility, empathy, development of EQ and SQ, etc. Try to find those traits inside you and act from that place. Another thing, not being tied to your physical body doesn't mean you should neglect it. Physical body is precious vehicle, one day you will be happy it healthy Don't try to force anything to your wife. Be kind, warm, full of empathy,... Put yourself into her position. Maybe she is afraid that as you abandon all the things you said you will abandon her also and it is just a matter of time until you realize that she is also excess in your "spiritual life" but she loves you deeply. Communicate with patience. If you thing rightly you will influence her in the deepest way possible, with your example without forcing anything. Wish you the best. -
No, it was just normal not alarming pressure. And as my third eye grew stronger the less pressure I felt. Now I feel only some tingling sensation when I activate it. I would suggest that you start with some of those meditations mentioned in link I gave you. And it will balance every process in your third eye development, and plus through that approach you cannot force any energetic structure (third eye, third eye channel, upper dan tien, etc) to function above some limit that you can handle. And I you can see third eye is only one element to more complete picture and mental development. I really trust the author of that text because I worked with him for years and I know that his mental vision is really really precise, and he always verify his vision with ultrasound, x-ray, newly discoveries in field of physics etc., so his findings are not just his view but they are also product of many years researching, teaching other people to produce the same result (mental vision) and comparing his findings with science. His philosophy is "do not believe nor disbelieve but always verify".

I have never experienced pain in that area but pressure and heat yes. I did training in this method http://illumina.co.rs/EN/Mental_vision.html Teacher told me that there are two ways of initiate energetic processes: 1) with your mind and 2) with your consciousness. Majority of approaches rely on mental strength and developed focus and with those visualization you force some process while on the other hand if you initiate some process e.g. development of third eye with your consciousness your third eye development won't be forced, there will be any negative sensations or consequence and because the development with go along your inner development and all the different processes will be harmonized.

I have been doing a lot of third eye training but not in Daoist fashion. "The third eye The third eye is a term that’s often used in yogic literature as well as literature that deals with various meditation techniques. It is situated slightly above the eyebrow line, in the funnel of the sixth chakra [5] , however third eye and sixth chakra are not the same. In the case of unsynchronised sixth chakra its colour varies from red, then blue and finally grey colour of Energy, which like rings surround the third eye’s white centre. Third eye is a milky white radiant ellipsoid structure, positioned within a funnel like structure of the sixth chakra. Viewed from the side, one half of this ellipsoid is on the inside of the forehead while the other half is protruding on the outer side. Third eye is an energetic structure which, with the help of the brain as a sense of the mind, is created by Consciousness. It is not constantly active, but rather it exists as a potential and as such it is activated on one’s conscious, although more often on an unconscious concentration. Many describe the third eye as a brain tissue. However, it is not situated in the brain itself, and so it can not be that, but it is formed partly through the help of brain. Meditating for maturing the third eye, the brain wave activity is mildly lowered and evened out compared to a usual level, which is directly in the function of an easier maturing of the mind. Through maturing of the third eye the conscious and the sub-conscious mind are also being harmonised, as well as the thinking and the working ones, and thus it enables for the development of mental vision. The channel of the third eye The channel of the third eye is an energetic structure, which constitutes as an extension of the third eye, starting from the forehead and ending in back of the head. The channel of the third eye is somewhat wider than the sixth chakra, that is the sixth chakra is situated inside of it. It is activated on one’s conscious, although more often on an unconscious concentration; it is mostly milky white or grey in colour, radiating in either case. The channel is not one of the brain’s structures, but it is formed through it. When meditating for maturing the channel of the third eye, the brain wave activity lowers and harmonises slightly, compared to its usual level. This eases the connection between the neocortex and the limbic part of the brain, which is also an important precondition for an accurate mental vision."

If you are interested in spirituality and knowing yourself better I would recommend starting and ending your practice with Ramana Maharshi and Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj. Especially Sri Nisargadatta Maharaj Cheers

"Society's" general opinion on the occult?
Shagrath replied to Unseen_Abilities's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Yes, of course. You make a point with your statement that you should improve the world that you experience. That is true, but not on the cost of influencing other peoples free will. You will get bad karma points for that I do not have personal experience in magic so this will be only saying what I have been told and I will give examples that are not mine. For example, you can use magic powerful rituals for somebody to fall in love with you, to pass the exam etc. Years ago one friend of mine used the magic rituals to make money by making the people who give him money to pass any exam at university But there was a catch. It was working really nice every single time and one time the professor got expelled from school due to sexual harassment. The ritual made such a strong energy surrounding that one girl who wanted to pass the very hard exam and professor was also under influence of ritual that he was so charmed with her that he let her pass although she did't know enough for passing that subject. Later on that implanted sexual tension boiled inside him that he could barely control him self when in her presence and he wanted to have sex with her etc and he got expelled. He was the collateral damage of her wants. That is the thing with magic rituals, you set a goal and focus on it and do the ritual to make it happen. BUT there is the price to be payed, you cannot chose how it is going to be fulfilled or who will get injured, you will have your result no matter what. In that case of professor, he was innocent, it wasn't his fault that he felt that strong attraction towards that girl. When that occurred my friend left magic practices for good and he never looked back, he was really sad that he made that come true, and innocent guy lost his job just because some stupid girl didn't want to study regularly. One of my friend roommate fell in love in some random guy she saw in club. To make long story short, she (that girl not my friend) with her mom and granny cast a very powerful spell over that poor guy to fell in love with her. He literally could not think about his wife and his two daughters, he couldn't have erection and that selfish girl was always in his mind. He started to lose his mind and cry all day long because he didn't know how come his entire life collapsing over night. One day my frind took him to see guy mentioned in previous post to take away that curse. And after 7 hours of taking curse away he vomited for half an hour and vomitet blood also (they say that when you vomit after taking down some curse it's a sign that is was successful), he was relieved and he could return to normal life like nothing happened. The guy that take away his curse told him that all this will break down on that girl. And few days after my friend witnessed her roommate to go crazy, wanted to make suicide and she was taken to psychiatry and she stayed there. That process is call in magic THE SON THAT RETURNS TO KILL HIS FATHER. That was mine translation I don't know how it is called in english. So the point is that "the son" refers to curse, and "father" is the creator of that curse. And when somebody cleans the curse it returns and I can strike your children, grandchildren or you. You never know. That is why you must be careful not to influence other people rather just yourself. You should work towards your own maturation of consciousness, clean your karma and karmic debt and good thing will happen to you and you will enjoy your life fully. -
"Society's" general opinion on the occult?
Shagrath replied to Unseen_Abilities's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Hi T.S, it is very interesting topic you started. Just what I have been thinking about for few days. I will just start with little background. I have two people influenced my life the most. Each of them in their own particular way. One guy has its background in yoga and later taijiquan and another guy in magic. Those two guys know each other really well and they speak about the same things, they come to the same conclusions but through different paths. And although they speak about the same thing they use different metaphors, different words but ultimately/essentially it is the same. So this "magic guy" has history in O.T.O., A∴A∴, Golden Down, qabalah, tarot, astrology, worked with Gudjieff system, buddhism, learned aramaic/hebrew/chinese/helen language so he could read original old and new testament and chinese literature, etc. Really amazing guy. In the past he did practice a lot of magic and practical qabalistic alchemy, vibrational qabalah,...untill he became one of the few people in the world with the deepest understanding of those sciences. I have met and chated with few O.T.O. and A∴A∴ members that went to see this guy for some clearing out the foundation of qabalah and magic, to help them better understand, etc. He said that he never was official member of any of those schools rather he went really deep into understanding these philosophies, practiced them diligently for many many hours a day until he understood them completely and the he move forward to another field. He said that he never liked to have label on himself of some system, he was just curious to understand the essence of all things. Once he said that magic can be divided into two paths. Black magic and white magic. Black magic is when your practice is driven by Ego and lust for power while white magic is for consciousness development. And for example if you heal someone, and that deed was just to make you a GREAT HEALER and to earn you respect that was black magic. Also that you never must interfere with free will. You must not make things happen, because price is too high. Had a lot of experience and different stories which were really let just say interesting how can your own work bounce back to you. Never the less, now he only focuses on qabalah (and says that is the greatest system ever created in the world), tarot (extension on qabalah) and he focuses on pure spirituality (bible, buddhism, etc). His advice to me was that magic can be really dangerous and it is not a child play. Worst thing is about magic that 99% of headmasters or teachers are just people with fetishes toward magic that do not understand it's core and because of that they cannot warn you or guide you in proper direction, so this can lead to MAJOR consequences and spiritual degradation. His ultimate advice was dive in magic and try to understand the philosophy of it, because it is the same as any other religion. Ipsissimus is the same thing as Buddha, it is the person with highest state of consciousness and True Will is the concept as Dao, God or call it as you like. So, many years now I diligently practiced meditation and understanding indian philosophy for most time (meher baba, nisargadatta, ramana maharshi,...) and few days ago I come to realization that I need to dive into magic for better understanding of some processes. So now I will take his advice and start reading Israel Regardie, Helena Blavatsky, Rudolf Steiner, Aleister Crowley, Papus, etc. I think it is really constructive to go into magic and occult parallel to something else. Like christianity, taoism, hinduism, thelema etc. Only because it will give you more objective perspective to the same thing, The Truth. If you focus on only one perspective it will be extremely subjective and you will lose Truth from your eyesight because you will be caught into the paradigm of some path. It doesn't you will, it's just my way of looking to those things. -
