  1. OK, back on topic. I thought links were needed for some books mentioned earlier: Pihkal: A Chemical Love Story by Alexander Shulgin http://www.amazon.com/Pihkal-Chemical-Story-Alexander-Shulgin/dp/0963009605/ Tihkal: The Continuation by Alexander Shulgin http://www.amazon.com/Tihkal-Continuation-Alexander-Shulgin/dp/0963009699/ These seem to be more concerned with usage, and have a reference for recipes the author prepared and used. I have also found MAPS: http://www.maps.org/ And this page of free books: http://www.maps.org/resources/freebooks Also Trout's Notes: http://troutsnotes.com/trouts-notes-library/
  2. Your implication is of course that being young and inexperienced is a negative, that it is bad or somehow lacking. I say it is better to be young and inexperienced than old and inflexible! I will also point out that none of these plants growing around us came with instruction manuals, so whatever energy or force has brought them into human experience doesn't seem too concerned with our youth or inexperience. It seems a clear enough message to us to try and learn for ourselves. After all the first shaman never had a teacher. Also when you believe that something is powerful you give it power of you. As I said I have been, am and will continue to be responsible and respectful. But I am not going to submit to abject threats intended to control or direct or influence me to fear. We have quite enough of that in modern society's obsession with controlling everything. I still remember the DARE police lying to me about drugs, including marijuana. I may have been young and inexperienced, but even way back then I sensed something was off.
  3. I am not saying anyone's advice here is bad or good. And I'll give it to you that the expressions are different. But the spirit needed is the same, one that is inquisitive and questioning. As far as Bud Jetsun's advice, he never claimed to be an authority on the subject. I just noticed that those items he classified as gentle and uplifting are the same items on my own personal list. It just seemed relevant to me.
  4. Well Mr. Jetsun I have had psilocybin mushrooms, given to me by a friend. I no longer have access to these as we have since parted ways. I feel I have an affinity towards mushrooms, I use cordyceps to help boost my immune system and lion's mane for a mind booster and oneirogen. As I have stated before, psilocybin shrooms changed something inside of me. I was previously very depressed, since I took them, and it has been a few years now, I might get depressed, but I bounce back, I don't just get stuck there. Maybe other factors are involved. But I still remember how much brighter and more colorful things were even the day after taking them. I credit them for bringing me out of my depression. I have learned one lesson I will never forget... I would rather recommend shrooms for depression than any other substance on earth, without exception. Peyote and LSD have long since been on my list, so it seems as if the gentle category is the path I have been and intend to continue following. I have recently added ayahuasca and DMT to the list. I have no idea what a heroic dose VS a safe dose would be. I am open to learning under a teacher, if you know anyone here on the west coast of America by all means let me know. As for Steve and others who have posted similar sentiments... I advise caution with this, "leave it to the authorities" attitude. Please forgive me for being blunt, but that is sheep-like behavior. You are a human being, not a sheep. Think for yourself! I will not argue that others may have experience or know better about certain things. But I will certainly argue that this means we should leave everything to those who may have more experience or know better. Both experience and knowledge is acquired, everyone you think of as experienced and knowledgeable started out the same as you. And it certainly does not mean that everyone with more experience or knowledge automatically knows better than you. You are the only authority on you, stop looking to others! Frank Lloyd Wright didn't know jack shit about architecture. He stepped out one day, I think there had been a huge fire (the Chicago or Boston fires), and he saw someone die, I think it was when a building was falling apart. He though about how he could make buildings safer. He had no experience or knowledge. He dived in to help rebuild and learned how to do things like this as a result: We can't do that today. Because of man's laws and this prevailing attitude that you have to leave it to others with more experience or knowledge, we no longer have Frank Lloyd Wrights, Einsteins, Leonardo DaVincis or Nikola Teslas. We are taught we have to go to school for some extended period of time or leave it to the professionals. We never question this. I exhort you to start questioning. Do not, ever, accept the limitations of others! And do not, ever, impose limitations on others!
  5. There is a risk in using Angel's Trumpet. But note well that the Native Americans were using it, I forget the specific tribe, for thousands of years. The problem is not in using it, but in not knowing how to use it correctly. That knowledge is in many ways more important that knowing what plants are psychoactive. It does us little good to know if something is psychoactive if we do not know exactly what parts to use, how to process it, and in what amount. I am sorry to hear about your friend. His state may be wretched, but he is still alive. Datura has claimed lives, or so I have read. You may want to research this, but it could be that the right amount of Datura, applied correctly, could bring him back to normal.

  7. Merry Christmas Everyone!

For those who observe this, or Hanuka, or both, or neither, or something else entirely, Merry Christmas to everyone at these forums. May the closing of this year bring you many blessings, and many opportunities to bless others! Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is God with us. — Matt. 1:23. "One of the most controversial statements in the New Testament concerns the virgin conception and subsequent birth of Jesus, a conception in which man had no part. It is recorded that a virgin conceived a son without the aid of man, then secretly and without effort gave birth to her conception. This is the foundation upon which all Christendom rests. The Christian world is asked to believe this story, for man must believe the unbelievable to fully express the greatness that he is. Scientifically, man might be inclined to discard the whole Bible as untrue because his reason will not permit him to believe that the virgin birth is physiologically possible, but the Bible is a message of the soul and must be interpreted psychologically if man is to discover its true symbology. Man must see this story as a psychological drama rather than a statement of physical fact. In so doing he will discover the Bible to be based on a law which if self-applied will result in a manifested expression transcending his wildest dreams of accomplishment. To apply this law of self-expression, man must be schooled in the belief and disciplined to stand upon the platform that "all things are possible to God." The outstanding dramatic dates of the New Testament, namely, the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus, were timed and dated to coincide with certain astronomical phenomena. The mystics who recorded this story noticed that at certain seasons of the year beneficial changes on earth coincided with astronomical changes above. In writing this psychological drama they have personified the story of the soul as the biography of man. Using these cosmic changes, they have marked the birth and resurrection of Jesus to convey that the same beneficial changes take place psychologically in the consciousness of man as he follows the law. Even to those who fail to understand it the story of Christmas is one of the most beautiful stories ever told. When unfolded in the light of its mystic symbology, it is revealed as the true birth of every manifestation in the world. This virgin birth is recorded as having taken place on December 25th or, as certain secret societies celebrate it, on Christmas Eve, at midnight of December 24th. Mystics established this date to mark the birth of Jesus because it was in keeping with the great earthly benefits this astronomical change signifies. The astronomical observations which prompted the authors of this drama to use these dates were all made in the northern hemisphere; so from an astronomical point of view the reverse would be true if seen from the southern latitudes. However, this story was recorded in the north and therefore was based on northern observation. Man very early discovered that the sun played a most important part in his life, that without the sun physical life as he knew it could not be. So these most important dates in the story of the life of Jesus are based upon the position of the sun as seen from the earth in the northern latitudes. After the sun reaches its highest point in the heavens in June, it gradually falls southward, taking with it the life of the plant world so that by December almost all of nature has been stilled. Should the sun continue to fall southward, all nature would be stilled unto death. However, on December 25th, the sun begins its great move northward, bringing with it the promise of salvation and life anew for the world. Each day, as the sun rises higher in the heavens, man gains confidence in being saved from death by cold and starvation, for he knows that as it moves northward and crosses the equator all nature will rise again, will be resurrected from its long winter sleep. Our day is measured from midnight to midnight, and, since the visible day begins in the east and ends in the west, the ancients said the day was born of that constellation which occupied the eastern horizon at midnight. On Christmas Eve, or midnight of December 24th, the constellation Virgo is rising on the eastern horizon. So it is recorded that this son and savior of the world was born of a virgin. It is also recorded that this virgin mother was traveling through the night, that she stopped at an inn and was given the only available room among the animals and there in a manger, where the animals fed, the shepherds found the Holy Child. The animals with whom the Holy Virgin was lodged are the holy animals of the zodiac. There in that constantly moving circle of astronomical animals stands the Holy Mother, Virgo, and there you will see her every midnight of December 24th, standing on the eastern horizon as the sun and savior of the world starts his journey northward. Psychologically, this birth takes place in man on that day when man discovers his consciousness to be the sun and savior of his world. When man knows the significance of this mystical statement, "I am the light of the world," he will realize that his I AM, or consciousness, is the sun of his life, which sun radiates images upon the screen of space. These images are in the likeness of that which he, as man, is conscious of being. Thus qualities and attributes which appear to move upon the screen of his world are really projections of this light from within himself. The numberless unrealized hopes and ambitions of man are the seeds which are buried within the consciousness or virgin womb of man. There they remain like the seeds of earth, held in the frozen waste of winter, waiting for the sun to move northward or for man to return to the knowledge of who he is. In returning he moves northward through recognition of his true self by claiming "I AM the light of the world." When man discovers his consciousness or I AM to be God, the savior of his world, he will be as the sun in its northern passage. All hidden urges and ambitions will then be warmed and stimulated into birth by this knowledge of his true self. He will claim that he is that which heretofore he hoped to be.Without the aid of any man, he will define himself as that which he desires to express. He will discover that his I AM is the virgin conceiving without the aid of man, that all conceptions of himself, when felt, and fixed in consciousness, will be embodied easily as living realities in his world. Man will one day realize that this whole drama takes place in his consciousness, that his unconditioned consciousness or I AM is the Virgin Mary desiring to express, that through this law of self-expression he defines himself as that which he desires to express and that without the help or cooperation of anyone he will express that which he has consciously claimed and defined himself as being. He will then understand: why Christmas is fixed on December 25th, while Easter is a movable date; why upon the virgin conception the whole of Christendom rests; that his consciousness is the virgin womb or bride of the Lord receiving impressions as self-impregnations and then without assistance embodying these impressions as the expressions of his life.” Christmas From, “Faith Is Your Fortune” By Neville Goddard
  8. Merry Christmas Everyone!

The video was just the first thing that popped into head to sort of illustrate how I feel. The things I am struggling with, you, and other "opponents" are the big huge Russian dude kickin' my arse;! Make any more sense now? Fire, Water, Air Earth... OK... Rings a few bells, will have to spend some time looking through old threads to put it all together. Thank you. For the record I feel no need as such to give. Just the desire to give. Giving to the homeless or the hungry only perpetuates homelessness and starvation. I have talked about this somewhere before. In the natural flow of my life, if the opportunity came to help those in either or both of these experiences, I would help them. But going around giving everyone on the street money will not address more then the symptom, as I am sure you are aware. To stop homelessness and starvation we need to get to the root, the cause of the issue, and that means addressing certain things in society. My rule of them is give and serve when you can, when you truly want to, in the natural course of your life. Don't go out of your way to either avoid it or do it. Flow where you need to go. Of course I could be completely wrong here too...
  9. Merry Christmas Everyone!

OK Nungali, I get it. I am obsessed with money and material things. Everything I have learned is utter bullshit. I am just your typical shallow American consumer, brainwashed the same as everyone else, for the fancy car, house, etc. (me at 0:55) Congratulations, you have just given me yet another reason to give up! But I am glad you found a way that worked for you. And despite everything I wish I had the ability or whatever it was I needed, or, if I already have it, knew how to use it, so I could have gotten you that car. I know you were probably not serious about it. You have no reason to believe me, but if I had the means, I probably would have purchased that for you. No reason for doing so, no expectation. Just because I could. But I haven't figured it out, I do not understand, I have not found a way that works for me. Apparently even my understanding of certain things is messed up. So I guess I may as well give up and stop trying. One more thing... Maybe you feel you have explained the correct process to me, but I do not recall reading it. If you find some spare time, maybe you can PM me whatever you feel I need so I gain the right understanding. Happy New Year everyone! I hope this upcoming year is absolutely stuffed full of blessings for you and your loved ones! ... and I hope your New Year looks a helluva lot better than mine!
  10. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Just because I haven't been able to figure it out doesn't mean nobody else can, or that it does not work. I find it to be a more empowering way to think, and I prefer to empower people rath than say something like, "Nungal, if you want that aircraft here is what you do... Get a job, keep it for 40 years, save up all your money, and if you are lucky, on retirement, you can buy yourself one..." I guess I am also hoping someone else figures it out so they can share and spread the information around. Maybe if they figure it ot and share what they have learned I can pick it up and it will be the last puzzle piece I need to figure the processes of manifestation out.
  11. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Rumi often speaks like this, you can't always take it literally. When he says, "If you want money more than anything you will be bought and sold." That has a literal meaning, which you can see in almost any actor, lawyer, politician or rock star, but it also has a subtler meaning. One of them I get right away is that you are transformed by whatever it is you love. The loaf of bread one is harder to understand. I sense humor in this statement. To my mind it seems to be saying that someone who loves food more than anything will be driven by their love of food. Another possible meaning is someone driven by their love of food will always have a lot of food around them, and so, in a way, become bread for others. Every chubby, happy grandmother who bakes around Christmas will have a LOT of stuff around the house for visitors to eat! I don't think Rumi means a physical transformation into another object here. He is just saying that what you love becomes, in essence, your life. If you love flying, eventually you will have an aircraft. Your walls will have posters depicting flying scenes, your shelves will be filled with books on flying. Ultimately you draw into you life the things that you enjoy, or love, the most. Nobody will have a poster of the Backstreet Boys on their wall if the only music they love is jazz! To put this practically for you in your case you want this vehicle. Get posters of this vehicle and flying scenes and place them on your walls. Make a day trip to where one of these is sold, or owned by someone. If you don't have access to that, start visiting the local airport. Take flying lessons to prepare yourself for flying this car. Surround yourself with what it is you desire, act as if that desire is already yours, and it will show up! Of course you already knew all of that... My apologies for my previous inaccurate recollections...
  12. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Hey Nungali, as I recall you are not a fan of this manifestation stuff. I just read this today, and thought of you. It's yet another approach to getting that vehicle you want... If you want money more than anything, you will be bought and sold. If you have a greed for food, you will become a loaf of bread. This is a subtle truth. Whatever you love, you are. A Simple Truth From, "A Year With Rumi, December 27th" By Rumi Translated by Coleman Barks So according to this, all you have to do is love, really love, this vehicle you want, and, since you can't change your physical form, you will draw the vehicle to you. As I understand it this is referred to as "vibrating at the frequency of your desire" or "attracting your desire to you" in the manifestation teachings. And here some of you at these forums called these manifestation and LoA teachings new-agey. Well you can't get much more ancient than Rumi and Sufism!
  13. Merry Christmas Everyone!

Believe it or not, if I had the funds I probably would get you that, and fly it over to you. Why not? But this is the very thing I am struggling with right now. If I had that kind of money I could go to college or buy a house. I could, in short, start a life of my own. But I don't have it, and so I can't. But I am working on this. I am determined to figure out this manifestation thing. Best advice I have for you is here: INTERVAL OF TIME Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also. — John 14: 1-3. "Let not your heart be troubled; ye believe in God, believe also in me. In my Father's house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again, and receive you unto myself; that where I am, there ye may be also." The ME in whom you must believe is your consciousness, the I AM; it is God. It is also the Father's house containing within itself all conceivable states of consciousness. Every conditioned state of consciousness is called a mansion. This conversation takes place within yourself. Your, I AM, the unconditioned consciousness, is the Christ Jesus speaking to the conditioned self or the John Smith consciousness. "I AM John" from a mystical point of view is two beings, namely, Christ and John. So I go to prepare a place for you, moving from your present state of consciousness into that state desired. It is a promise by your Christ or awareness of being to your present conception of yourself that you will leave your present consciousness and appropriate another. Man is such a slave to time that, if after he has appropriated a state of consciousness which is not now seen by the world and it, the appropriated state, does not immediately embody itself, he loses faith in his unseen claim; forthwith he drops it and returns to his former static state of being. Because of this limitation of man I have found it very helpful to employ a specified interval of time in making this journey into a prepared mansion. "Wait but a little while." We have all catalogued the different days of the week, months of the year and seasons. By this I mean you and I have said time and again, "Why, today feels just like Sunday" or "—Monday" or " — Saturday." We have also said in the middle of Summer, "Why, this feels and looks like the Fall of the year." This is positive proof that you and I have definite feelings associated with these different days, months and seasons of the year. Because of this association we can at any time consciously dwell in that day or season which we have selected. Do not selfishly define this interval in days and hours because you are anxious to receive it, but simply remain in the conviction that it is done — time, being purely relative, should be eliminated entirely — and your desire will be fulfilled. This ability to dwell at any point in time permits us to employ time in our travel into the desired mansion. Now I (consciousness) go to a point in time and there prepare a place. If I go to such a point in time and prepare a place, I shall return to this point in time where I have left; and I shall pick up and take you with me into that place which I have prepared, that where I AM, there ye may also be. Let me give you an example of this travel. Suppose you had an intense desire. Like most men who are enslaved by time, you might feel that you could not possibly realize so large a desire in a limited interval. But admitting that all things are possible to God, believing God to be the ME within you or your consciousness of being, you can say, "As John I can do nothing; but since all things are possible to God and God I know to be my consciousness of being, I can realize my desire in a little while. How my desire will be realized I do not (as John) know, but by the very law of my being I do know that it shall be." With this belief firmly established decide what would be a relative, rational interval of time in which such a desire could be realized. Again let me remind you not to shorten the interval of time because you are anxious to receive your desire; make it a natural interval. No one can give you the time interval. Only you can say what the natural interval would be to you. The interval of time is relative, that is, no two individuals would give the same measurement of time for the realization of their desire. Time is ever conditioned by man's conception of himself. Confidence in yourself as determined by conditioned consciousness always shortens the interval of time. If you were accustomed to great accomplishments you would give yourself a much shorter interval in which to accomplish your desire than the man schooled in defeat. If today were Wednesday and you decided that it would be quite possible for your desire to embody a new realization of yourself by Sunday, then Sunday becomes the point in time that you would visit. To make this visit you shut out Wednesday and let in Sunday. This is accomplished by simply feeling that it is Sunday, Begin to hear the church bells; begin to feel the quietness of the day and all that Sunday means to you; actually feel that it is Sunday. When this is accomplished, feel the joy of having received that which on Wednesday was but a desire. Feel the complete thrill of having received it, and then return to Wednesday, the point in time you left behind you. In doing this you created a vacuum in consciousness by moving from Wednesday to Sunday. Nature, abhorring vacuums, rushes in to fill it, thereby fashioning a mould in the likeness of that which you potentially create, namely, the joy of having realized your defined desire. As you return to Wednesday you will be filled with a joyful expectancy because you have established the consciousness of that which must take place the following Sunday. As you walk through the interval of Thursday, Friday and Saturday, nothing disturbs you regardless of conditions, because you predetermined that which you would be on the Sabbath and that remains an unalterable conviction. Having gone before and prepared the place, you have returned to John and are now taking him with you through the interval of three days into the prepared place that he might share your joy with you, for where I AM there ye may also be. From: "Faith Is Your Fortune" By: Neville Goddard Now for me something like this vehicle you want is far too big. I have struggled with a lack/limitation mindset for years and am only recently changing it. For me I will start small. I need a hammock, with a rainffly and a mosquito net, for my trip to California. It has to support 400 pounds. These cost around $100.00 - $200.00 for a good, high quality one. The interval of time I need, in which I could see myself as having the money, is going to be a day in March, just before leaving. To enter this mansion, since no days of the week are any more special to me than any other, I will see myself packing this into my panniers. I will see the bike loaded up, experience what I would feel as I take one last look around, all of the things associated with that. Then I would come back here, confident, knowing that when I get there, the hammock will be there. You have experience with this manifestation process, if I recall what you wrote before correctly, so maybe this process will strike a chord with you, and work for you. Since I don't have a way to get you the vehicle, I am giving you the next best thing I can, that is a way for you to get it. Good luck and fair skies!
  14. Merry Christmas Everyone!

    Some stuff I realized: https://blisswriter.wordpress.com/2015/12/27/the-energy-behind-the-gift/
  15. Merry Christmas Everyone!

I had vegetarian pizza with handmade dough...
  16. Merry Christmas Everyone!

I never got your list Nungali... I think Santa represents hope, the possibility of magic, and personifies generosity. While the fat, jolly man in the red suit may not exist, we are here, and we can be Santa for each other! So practice giving and receiving. Give what you can, open yourself to receive. I can't get you a present by Christmas, but if you PM me your list, and I can get one of the items on it, I may be able to get you something by New Years... Until then please accept the gift I have already sent you. It's not visible, it is my best wishes for you and all those you care about!
  17. I am a little confused and out of the loop about this, so I would like a clearer understanding. Here is a link to a woman who says she is transgender: http://www.okcupid.com/profile/MarinaSlater/ Does that mean she is a male that has taken treatments to become female? Or that she is a female with male tendencies? Or do people just label themselves as this for various personal reasons, and there is no rhyme or reason to it? I had a male friend who has claimed they are transgender, and are taking treatments to become more female, or a woman, or whatever it is they do. They have changed their name and everything. But this woman looks like a woman, not a dude, so I am a little confused. I think I understand all these transexual, metrosexual, homosexual, bisexual labels as referring to sexual bias or preference. But I want to be sure, in general is that about right? Is this just referring to a person's sexuality? I appreciate your help clarifying this for me.
  18. When Ernest Holmes, author of Science of the Mind, says: "All law must be subjective; the soil knows how to take a seed and make a plant from it; it does not know whether it is making a tomato or potato." What does subjective mean in this context? I think I grasp what the overall statement is saying, but for some reason I am not, at this moment, getting a clear understanding of what he means by subjective. Thanks!
  19. What does, "All law must be subjective" mean?

I think I am starting to unravel this... Maybe... https://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?qid=1006042715659 If, like one poster said here, subjective law is a law that remains constant, then maybe what is being said here is something like there is an energy and a consistent way it operates. It is an energy that does not criticize or judge. Such an energy, and a consistent way of operation, is present in the interaction between a seed and the soil. The seed could be anything, from the most hated thistle to a prized rare orchid. Whatever this energy and its consistent way of operating happens to be, it has no opinion about the seed, or the soil, or anything else. Once the seed is placed in the soil the "law" is activated, and the seed sprouts. The soil will never sprout anything without a seed, and seeds generally do not sprout without being planted in the soil (or some other medium.) The only time seeds sprout is in the interaction between them and their medium. LoA teachers, and those teaching similar principles, must be referring to this kind of energy and a consistent way it operates when they tell us that "thoughts become things" or "the world is your beliefs outpictured." In this case there is an energy and a consistent way it operates that, when presented with the right elements, maybe belief and feeling, an interaction occurs that would not with belief alone or feeling alone. Like the "law" governing the growth of seeds, this law is also impersonal, not criticizing or judging. You can use bad thoughts and bad feelings, then experience the result. Or you can choose good thoughts and good feelings. Does that clarify anything at all?
  20. What does, "All law must be subjective" mean?

As I understand it, the energy of life in the physical world needs a physical form in which to express itself. All life on earth is comprised of the same elements as what is in the earth, its soil. Man is said to be a "clay vessel" and the earth is said to be our mother for this reason. All children carry some element of their mother in their physical form. A seed is nothing without soil in which to express itself, and the expression of the seed is the plant, the life inside the seed, but beyond that is the energy of life seeking physical expression through the seed, and through the interaction between seed and soil. Yes, the soil is nothing without seed, but seed is also nothing without the soil. EDIT: I suppose I should clarify by saying soil I mean the medium in which a seed is able to express itself. Without the medium there is no expression. As far as I know anyhow.
  21. What does, "All law must be subjective" mean?

For the record, Ernest Holms is a "New Thought" teacher, along with others like Neville Goddard, Matthew Fox and Florence Scovel Shinn: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ernest_Holmes http://www.scienceofminduk.org/believe_faq.html These teachers are typically lumped in with "New Age", but are actually teachers of metaphysics, sometimes quoting from and using the Bible, but in a completely different way than normally taught in Christianity. Typically the Bible is seen not as a literal account but a sort of a metaphysical or psychological manual, textbook or workbook. Regardless, I appreciate your comment as well. I find looking at this from a purely scientific viewpoint to be fascinating. Unfortunately I am even more confused now, so I will have to ruminate on this for a while...
  22. I have a desire to do something. I know that if I do it, the desire to do that particular thing will go away. Until I do it, the desire will keep coming back to me. The desire recurs, over and over again, and it is very strong. I am afraid to do this thing I desire to do. In this case it is a healthy fear. I know some recommend doing those things of which you are afraid, but in this case I suspect I am better off not doing it. My question is very simple... Other than doing this thing I desire to do, is there any other way for me to be rid of this desire? I can tell you right now that meditation does not, and will not, work. Also one I leave this physical location for good and am somewhere else, the desire will stop, as it is location-specific. I never feel regret for not giving into the desire. I won't look back and have any unresolved feelings over not doing this thing I desire to do. At least as far as I know. The desire will leave me when I have left this place. It may re-emerge at the new location in some other form specific to that physical location. I am certain the desire is the stalk of the plant, but there are roots, and in order to remove this unwanted growth completely I must pull it out by the roots. But how do I dig down to the roots and dig it out? If you had a strong, recurring desire that just wouldn't leave your mind, it would always be there, no matter what you did, how would you handle it? Yes, it is a thought, and going into a deep meditation will, during the time of meditation, keep the thought from you. But the moment you stopped meditating, or a short period of time afterward, the desire would be back. Certainly a person could just go into permanent meditation, but there must be a better way to handle it! Meditation deals only with the stalk, not the roots. It is a temporary, not permanent, solution. There is a root to this desire, other growths from that root, that give me other desires and urges. It is at the root level I wish to work through this. I will not tell you what this desire, or these desires and urges, are. All you have to know is that it is strong and it is recurring. As always I appreciate your help.
  23. flouride - putting it in the water

I am against it. I do not use fluoride in my toothpaste and will not drink water with fluoride in it. In the first place it is a toxic waste byproduct aluminum. It destroys the bones and it not necessary for teeth: http://fluoridealert.org/issues/water/fluoridation-chemicals/ http://www.bibliotecapleyades.net/salud/salud_fluor27.htm http://www.democracynow.org/2004/6/17/the_fluoride_deception_how_a_nuclear http://articles.mercola.com/sites/articles/archive/2011/11/12/jeff-green-on-fluoride-part-1.aspx http://www.chrisbeatcancer.com/fluoride-is-poison/ http://blueirissanctuary.fatcow.com/id332.htm In the second place, chlorine, fluoride and mercury cause the pineal gland to become calcified, making things like astral projection and lucid dreaming that much more difficult: http://humansarefree.com/2014/10/top-5-steps-to-decalcify-your-pineal.html http://thespiritscience.net/2015/04/18/5-ways-to-decalcify-your-pineal-gland-regardless-of-your-age/ http://www.wakingtimes.com/2013/05/16/the-spiritual-eye-how-to-decalcify-awaken-your-pineal-gland/ http://www.wakingtimes.com/2012/12/15/how-to-decalcify-and-detoxifythe-pineal-gland/ http://decalcifypinealgland.com/how-to-decalcify-the-pineal-gland/ For the record, I eat a lot of refined sugars and drink a lot of soda pop. For the last two years I have been using toothpaste without fluoride and have no increase in cavities or tooth decay. I have other links about this, how a dentist shared some info about it, how things like a flu shot have more stuff that can keep you from becoming aware. May take me a while to find and post that info.
  24. How do you deal with a strong, recurring desire?

The desire is not destructive, in the sense that I am not cutting myself or considering killing myself. But it is also not really constructive either,
