But you are absolutely right when it comes to all the moving FP meditations--standing and seated--and especially the more complex forms such as Vol.4's Long Form Standing Meditation and the Advanced Monk Serves Wine seated meditations in Vol. 7: that if possible, students' practice should be checked to see if they are doing them correctly, starting with the basic principle of "the mind moves the chi; the chi moves the body."Thanks again for the suggestion to post video clips. What does it mean exactly the mind moves the chi; the chi moves the body regarding FPCK meds? Tomorrow I will make simple clips on my FPCK moving meds and will post it here. The quality will not be great as I use my PC camera but it is not so bad and picture should be clear enough to see movements

You dont need any other practice if you're doing FP correctly! That's the point! I've just got DVD vol. 4 and watched it. It seems to be not complicated to learn on my own with DVD but what I am thinking I am doing correctly and how to do it correctly indeed is big difference. And I even do not mention level 2 of FPCK. I tried to be clear on it and suppose you understand I was looking for some another practice. But at the moment I have been doing FPCK solely for 3 months now and want to add vol.3 for the morning and night practice and go with it for another 3 months. Now I understand more clear what Sifu Garry says of the FPCK. May be I expected some "energy flow" and some wow effect but now I just feel myself happier and more calm. May the energy generated by FPCK is very subtle and there should not be expected and perceived as something very substantial. Anyway I am just in the beginning and will give it try another few months without mixing with anything else.

Aware of her skin or man's skin?
-
Why are wee talking of skin? Is it your fetish?
-
No, no.... And yeas, yeas... I myself can understand it. When you are in the middle 30's and dating nice girl in her 20. It gave me feeling I was back to my 20. That is why I said that. It is only one side of the coin. Second side is that mentally I am not 20. This could be a problem. For people in 20 it is easier to date somebody their age. I myself have luminous skin and wrinkle free. My skin is even better than hers.

I dunno. Love includes trust and honesty. Will you be happy with your partner (wife) if she would lie you for instance if she says to you she is going to see her mother but actually she is going to make love with other man? What about polygamy and morality in such the case? If you would discuss it with your partner and both okey with polygamy then it is fine. Treat to other the same as you wish other treat to you
-
And another issue here. If you fell in love with another girl then what is the point to continue relationships with your partner? That only means you do not love her anymore and you deceive her. It is better to think about it.
-
Well there is no appropriate age for love and everything is possible. but it may be just first feelings. You have to spend more time together and then you will see. Of course it is easy to fall in love with young pretty girl. But time will show. I can not judge anybody and I dont know her. Some people at 20 are quite mature another ones are still childish. I wanted to continue our relationships but dont think it would last long anyway. My first impressions of her were false. Some people not saying truth and put masks. I did not know she smokes and going often to clubs, she did not tell me. I am just saying if she is not interested in spirituality you will not be able to understand each other in some points. But if she is nice and clever person everything is possible. Better not to put limits and just flow and listen your heart. But do not forget about mindfulness.

Who's wife? Who are you talking to? What is hierachal? Guys talking here of feeling and spirit. Latter is what i am interested more than in just sex. Of course there is hierachy if you aware of it or not. All people are in different levels of their path. If there is huge gap in the way you live there is less chance you will be happy together. She wants party with friends every weekend, you want to practice chikung extensively at the weekend. She wants sex in the morning i want meditation and chikung. What is the compromise? Fulfill someone's desires? Most women never even think of it. And this is hierarchy

Last year had similar experience. She is 20 I am 35. Just came up to her on a street. Now I recognize it was my unfulfilled infatuation coming from my past when I did not receive enough love from a NICE girl. NICE means the girl "from my dream" - tall sexy brunette with blue eyes... We understood that it could not last long. But had nice time together. No sex, just some intimacy. Still thinking of her sometime. But I understand that may be it was not love but just desire. Why not love? Simple. We have absolutely different states of psyche. While talking about music, movies, school, some jokes etc all was good, but when started about something more serious there was gap between us which was a great challenge which she could not accept. 20 years old human is still teenager. Who wants fun, alcohol, party, bar, toys, primitive movies, wild sex and does not bother anything spiritual etc. And if you are 36 and on the path of spirituality the gap is doubled. Just let it pass and look inside. But you can go into desire and you will see the end. Even if stay together how long? One, two months...? Common... In one two years she will find somebody younger and more sexy. This is facts of life. If you are on the path of spirituality you need somebody mature. I would prefer to have more matured spiritually women than myself. This would be a greater challenge for the growth. But I think this is nearly impossible. Just can not see myself laying in bed with someone instead of my practice. IMO waste of time.

I did it last time in India. Somebody gave me saying that stuff was very cool and I tried. I did not like it at all and I would say I was suffering when I was stoned. Was very unpleasant. And I do not understand who and how can enjoy it. But I admit that some people enjoy it and I believe that those yogis have many benefits of it and I do not estimate it as "suffering" the same as alcohol intake because it might help to somebody else and I should not judge. I can only say what is good or bad for me personally. Alcohol is good for me sometime. I love a bit of single malt whisky. But now i am in 100 days program of extensive practice. I would prefer to have clear mind free of any intoxicants. But yogis know how to smoke correctly. Yoga is far beyond that just asanas. It is way of life
-
In India there are many genuine yogis who smoke cannabis and barely doing asanas but they high level.... Sorry not going to justify cannabis... as it might be suffering...
-
You're using semantics to justify finding humor in someone else's humiliation. Humiliation? Why do think this is humiliation? There are many funny photos and videos over the internet where people are in funny circumstances. And you are saying I am failed to justify this. But I do not have to justify that humor does exists. I understand if someone sick or was killed by accident and this is not funny at all but if somebody got drunk and relax I do not have to justify it. Fine, but see how far that gets you in the real world Now you want to say that I will be punished because.... of what? Because someone religion is too serious?

Don Juan didn't exist and Carlos Castenada was a cult leader and fraud. Some people say that Jesus did not exist. Another ones say that Buddha's teaching was distorted and he had never created buddhism. But you believe to what they write about suffer and repeat their words that world is suffering. I think this affects your way of thinking. Osho told people many anecdotes. According to your point of view there can't be anything funny because according to buddhism everybody in suffer except Buddha. The very first buddhism words: Life is suffering. But I say that I do not care what buddhism is saying. That is someone's belief. I prefer to believe in Don Juan. But this is actually not my point. In that circumstances funny is not people drunk BUT that BEING drunk people's bodies found positions which might helped them to relax IN THAT TIME and in THAT circumstances. May be it was only the way to restore body after alcohol intake. You chosen to concentrate on the bad side of coin but I prefer to see funny side of it. And I do not propose take alcohol and such the yoga. But may be for them it was natural posture in that time and space Ask yourself, how would this person feel knowing this picture was presented in this way? How would you feel if it was you or even your brother in the picture? I myself used to drink and got drunk many times. And we had funny "drunk" episodes with friends. And no one was offended that someone was joking or doing some silly things until it made harm to others.

So when we look at these men we should cherish them as our charges and our teachers, for they are both. What would the Buddha have to say about this? I am not buddhist. There are many teachings in the world. Some of them saying that world is suffering. But this is only the way to explain, just words. Yes, there is suffering in the world, I agree. But I prefer to laugh when I see something funny. One would prefer to cry. This is their choice. And Don Juan said it is just your choice to laugh or to cry. And I personally do not care about any old teaching. If you would start reading all of them you will go nuts. I do not say to laugh when you see someone's suffering. But this is funny because this is just funny. I myself used to work in Russia 10 years ago and it was normal there to come to work being drunk. I do not exaggerate saying that many many people were coming to work drunk and were drinking at work and after work. And I saw it myself how people did it and even were sleeping at work and how another people were laughing at them sometime. Sometime it is comical. It was drunker's choice to drink even when there were said many times to halt drinking. They drink because they are suffering. But I do not laugh at suffering but I laugh when I see something funny. We had many funny stories there with drunks and they were laughing to. World is tragedy and comedy at the same time. These pictures are in poor taste This is judgement.

You are taking it to serious. I personally do not have any feeling of pity to these people as it would be self-pity what is indulging according to Castaneda's terminology. They knew what alcohol did to them and they continued anyway. And how do you know they are in bad situation? May be it their way to relax?

Search pictures for "Russian Yoga " and have fun.

But how long do you hold arms when stretched and in upper position?
-
Thanks a lot. But why you are not doing 50 30 10 and 50 10 50? Hmmm I trust you, but Sifu Terry says it is desirable to practice all warm ups meds and then 2 of MSW. I think it makes more sense but you have your own experience. So, OKey I will try to do vol.1 & 2 separately and really to pay attention on each movement, and I would start with 3 warm up meds for some 7 minutes each and plus two of MSW. I think this is one of the reason why I was often lazy to do FPCK because I tried to do vol 1 & 2 together and it would take couple hours and I wanted may be unconsciously just to FINISH it not really having enough awareness on it. But I tried my best. Ok, will do it with more attention. I will split up vol. 1 and 2 from each other. BTW in vol. 2 in MSW 90 80 50 20 how long you hold palms facing each other apart in the front of the chest? Is there pause in motion? The same when hands are above the head at the angle of 45 how long do you hold it up?

I consider almost every yoga known in the west to be just good calisthenics. Real yoga is far beyond just asanas. And latter is just what western yogis do mainly. Not sure if it even promotes health. If you want real yoga you have to go to india or Nepal and search for authentic sampradaya

Well, my behaviors were not so extreme but it depends what to call "extreme". Yes, I was indulging much in taking toxic stuff but with periods of abstaining in it, and indulging in sex activity too, plus quite severe "karmic" issues in the past, I grew up and started my career in very poor country and even having good education I was working under big stress with very small wages for many years and plus personal karmic negativity in relation with other people. So I have entire bunch of reasons what weakened my energy level and created blockages in energy system. But my organs are quite strong, and problem is on more subtle level than physical. Kidneys are related to prenatal qi and affected by fear and liver is affected by toxic substances and anger (expressed or depressed within). I too hope that FPCK can help to surpass all this karmic issues. I just do it and do not really expect fast results but mentally I was in some doubts if it is really what I need and what can help... I wanted to mix it with other systems and there are many others healing chikungs where healing is just side-effect of cultivation qi. Any genuine taoist art will heal the person who practice it diligently. Because of cultivation prenatal qi. That where my queries about FPCK came up above. I just was not sure that I could learn complete system via DVDs. Of course I like the meditations in FPCK system, it seems to be very rare healing (cultivating qi) art otherwise I would not start to practice it. And I had some fear and expectations which I was not aware or may be still not completely aware with. I just have discovered few other complete systems and wanted to do both of them and monkey mind started playing games. Now I think better to concentrate on ONE system. I want to build good foundation in cultivation FPCK for some another 3-6 months and then add something else if I need it. I think to add some hatha yoga asanas which enhance liver and kidneys function but I am not sure if it really helps as it migh be working on more physical level. And as you can see there are many questions when you do not have teacher who you can talk often and who can deliver the complete system. Then I have to read a lot to find answers on my questions. And it already creates some tensions in mind. I just found teacher in place where I live and he teaches five element qigong (wuxing qogong) and taichi ruler and it seems to be complete system but I just do not know what is better. As I started FPCK I want to build it energy first as Sifu Terry says it is high level yoga. This is good point. As I mentioned before I started to practice Bruce Frantzis's water meditation which I do before FP and when I have free time. But than I thought that may be FP meditations subsume quiet sitting meditation as Sifu Terry wrote here before: As for zazen working "here"-- If you're asking, "Does zazen work with the FP Qigong system, my answer would be: (A) If zazen is not working for one before one starts FP Qigong training, then zazen will work profoundly better after one practices FP for 6 months--or even just 3 months; ( btw, Zazen as practiced in Japanese Zen sects doesn't have to work here because Flying Phoenix Qigong training subsumes zazen 100%. FP very rapidly brings into awareness the energetic workings of the entire body and reveals the control that the mind can exert on the cultivation of a specific and tangible healing energy and on the use of this healing energy. That FP Seated Meditations ("Monk Serves Wine") subsumes the effects of zazen in the same way that the basic standing FP Meditations (Vols. 1,3,4,5) subsumes the effects of Zhan Zhuang--as Sifu Garry Hearfield pointed out (in a later posting, btw.) But I think quiet seating will benefit it anyway and it can strengthen each other. I think to practice open energy gate qigong a little bit in addition to FPCQ as it helps to become more aware and dissolve internal energy blockages Yes, I think quiet meditation + FPCK can benefit much to anyone if one does it diligently. That is what Sifu Terry wrote here too: But in general--i.e., using a liberal, expansive definition of zazen to mean "quiet seated mediation" that's not attached to any particular Zen center's teachings--I would say that zazen can work very well in conjunction with FP Qigong.[/i] If I further qualify zazen to mean the "quiet sitting" in the Chinese Chan and Taoist traditions that follow the Circulation of the Light, then the answer is: Yes, zazen will work EXTREMELY well alongside Flying Phoenix practice. Because any meditation that utilizes this simple "Secret of the Golden Flower" will ground everything that needs grounding and ultimately effect cosmic consciousness--enabling the practitioner to "embrace the One."

Your system is slowly clearing the blockages, so because you are not a veteran on any Qigong or Interal Martial Art that you dont see the effect because the awareness hasnt developed yet.to perceive the effects. In the past I used to drink much alcohol and some more strong "magic" stuff and I think it affected my kidneys. Doctor of TCM said I have some problem with it. And to much yang qi in liver
