  1. Could someone answer me a question? My husband and I have been having tantric sex for several months now- it was nothing we tried to do, it just happened. We've been married 27 years!!! We are both kundalini active(as the result of an auto accident several years ago). The sex is indescribable. However, it seems to be accompanied by the fact that he has been unable to ejactulate for a corresponding length of time. I note in these threads talk of holding back the ejaculation process deliberately. What's the deal with this, and why is it happening to him spontaneously?

  5. I have a serious problem

People can only be trusted to be people. After all, we're an imperfect bunch of talking monkeys. If one is attracting bad situation after bad situation, this is a dynamic of your own creation. Discovering the need to fix one person after another will be helpful. It will probably stem from a memory in your youth, corresponding with a fear, most likely. When you find the memory which is causing the repeated exposure to off-balance people (you may have had one in your life when you were young, and it is your 'comfort level' to be chronically exposed to this type of anger, etc - this is my particular affliction too), you can imprint the memory "to the opposite". This is a dynamic that is addressed in shamanic practices, by going into the soul. This is a form of shamanic soul retreival which is found at the base of your memory. We also are mirrors of each other. I bring out in others exactly what I need, you do the same. Don't look for answers in the people you meet. Look for answers within.
  6. Taoist Philosophy

Or..... Enjoy letting life hit you in the face. Like a happy biker with bugs in his teeth. Know that all of us are One - we see the Void in the little black spots in each other's eyes. Know that that fellow who's pissing you off is really you. We are each other. Cool. Opinion is merely a shutting off of part of the openness of pure mind. To be the ravine of the world is to stay humble and open. To let life wash over us like cool water. To make no judgments, to know that everything just Is. Shit. This is pure bliss.

  17. Kundalini

I've been K-active for maybe 5 years - it happened as the result of a traffic accident - totally spontaneous. I had no idea what it was, just this really annoying movement of electrical energy up the spine. I was in a coffee house in |Ojai, CA - when a woman I'd never seen before walked up to me with a book. She said that |I 'had to read it soon'. She loaned it to me, said she uses the book to teach and that she needed it back quickly. I took the book from the total stranger, read it in one day, and sent it back to her. It was a book explaining kundalini energy - she had detected it in me, a complete stranger, because she too was K-active. It never seems to stop, I'm aware of it every moment of the day. Sometimes it sits in the back of my head and it makes the back of my head really hot. Sometimes it'll sit in my throat chakra (I've subsequently done a little research and realized that it sits in the chakra that requires attention of some sort). Often it will sit under the skin at one shoulder blade or the other. It's rather like having constantly ringing ears (which I have also). I honestly don't know what the damn thing is good for. I didn't ask for it. However, I must add that I had been studying various translations of the Tao for about 20 years, and so it's not as though I was totally unprepared for a new spiritual phenomena. But I really don't see what it's good for!!! At least, not at this point. Maybe it's just part of the evolution and I'll see the reason for it one day.... I am a seer. I don't know if kundalini energy has anything to do with that, but I think it doesn't, for some reason. The triangulation in the second attention is a totally different thing, I think. But on the other hand, I didn't develop the abilitiy to see until several years after the K-energy was awakened. So who knows???
  18. Psychic Training

Seth - you said it all when you said you just couldn't get yourself out of the way. The presence of another person (particularly one that was demanding proof) caused your inability to get to the instantaneous muscle relaxation and mind emptiness that's required to visit the void, even for a brief moment.
  19. What is your definition of "Western Daoism"?

Dorian - Succinct. A bit on the cynical side, but succinct.
  20. What is your definition of "Western Daoism"?

It may be that the answer lies with where we have come from. From the west, we have a whole bunch of materialistic challenges; perhaps not so much in the east. I'll bet the real difference is in what we've given up and transcended. It may be that the answer lies with where we have come from. 21. Percieving Energy

I've come up not only the path of the Tao but also the way of Mr. Castaneda. When don Juan Mateus would tell Carlos how the Ancients would watch energy as it ran in the universe, I formed the opinion that it was because the Ancients had all the time in the world to sit around and gaze at the natural phenomena around them. They had time to play with the light. Don Juan had all his apprentices sit on a porch and squint and look at the world as a separate reality - the reflected light through our tears can cause entire scenarios to manifest in front of our eyes. As to how they saw energy running through the universe? This has intrigued and plagued me for years. When a previous poster referred to the shimmering, if one looks off to the side - I have a witchie friend that sees energy this way. |I think it's also seen in the waves of heat coming off a hot surface. I think it's also in a rainbow, where space and time seem to come together to manifest the coloration - which is actually all around us all the time, only we happen to see it momentarily because of the reflection of light off the mist in the air. It can be seen in the northern lights, certainly - those curtain-shaped irregularities in the cosmic soup that are probably all around us - only we get to see them in the areas where ice crystals form in the air. And what about a reflection off a lake or a car window? Have you ever stopped to look at the organized circles of radiation that emit from the center? I was fortunate enough one day, while driving through a long stretch of a desert, to suddenly see all things in my view 'connected' by various lines. It was just for an instant, but it changed my perspective. The trees were connected to the clouds, to the ground, to the homes, to the sky. Maybe they saw something like this, I don't know...I am always looking for the answer to this enigma, whether I'm aware of it or not. Good luck to you, and if you ever find a definitive answer to this one, please do share it....
  22. Why do masters keep secrets?

Maybe it's that there are some things that are not communicable through verbal teachings. A master may infer the way, point in the direction, allude to truth. The truth must be internalized by the process of realization, the inner gulps of 'Aha!'that set a knowledgeable man apart from a self-realized man.
  23. Taoism for the beginner

My suggestion would be to study 3 or 4 translations of the Tao and compare passage to passage. In this way the essence can be obtained.
  24. Is renunciation the only way to unite with Dao?

To renunciate might not be only way of getting to the here and now. There are plenty of us who managed to find our way through the 12 steps of recovery, which would be similar but actually turns out having a huge effect on ego. The steps entail doing a 'fearless and thorough moral inventory' (which is the same as developing a 'christ consciosness', as far as I can tell. That's where we develop the ability to see ourselves for what we really are, warts and all - and yet to not 'take it personally' and have to wade through the drama of learning that we're not perfect. Then, once the inventory is finished, one must not only give the results of your personal inventory to another (a humiliating experience), but the real fun starts when we have to go around and make amends to people we have harmed in our life. Once that is completed, the ego is pretty much in the toilet. Does renunciation share this wonderful aspect of humiliation?
  25. If I am so cultivated.... why am I tubby?

Could it be that we are constantly manifesting what we need? If we think we need protection from seeing something within ourselves, or storing a fear of some emotional dynamics, perhaps the body grows a shield of fat cells. Maybe the trick then becomes doing the rather painful inner work that one is protecting against.
