Perfect. Damn. I wish I could watercolor that well.

LOL. That's very funny. Yes, that place has my name written all over it. It actually looks kind of perfect. Hopefully the elevation isn't much over 5,000 ft. I'll check on that. I love the fact that there's a spa, on-site chef - I'll check into the cost too.

Has anyone ever experienced or read about this?

I can't help but wonder if the fact that you took Helpful Demon as your handle - are demons something that you identify with, or think about obsessively? If this is the case, it may require you to question your fundamental attraction to demons. You are manifesting this, it's not just happening out of the blue - -
that doggie is adorable. It looks like that's exactly what he's saying.

I think our brain is a muscle that is exercised when holding that steady, still point of consciousness, even when our bodies may be moving or walking down the street. I've noticed that this is a skill that grows steadily and subtly within our consciousness, when practiced. I often wonder if the great ones - the sages, Christs, Buddhas, - were capable of moving energy in a way that warped time a bit, perhaps speeding up a healing practice - or going into the background of early childhood but observing it in the Now as it aligns with current manifestations, like illness. -Barb Ortega

Seriously. Tonight my roomer nuked his deli sandwich. It was the left over half from his lunch today. It was still wrapped in the deli paper. He pulled the sandwich out, unwrapped it, and four flies came out, flying as if drunk. In circles. I'd swear one of them resembled Jeff Goldblum.

How do you make decisions the spiritual way?

I think the trick is, while in the moment, to remember who we really Are. From that point of clarity all things can be seen. -
How do you make decisions the spiritual way?

I don't believe Edmund is right. I think the Universe is based on love, or mutual attraction. If human endeavors get out of the way, the Universe will straighten itself. It knows. The concept of evil is a dual one. -

Before you do anything at all, ask yourself what would happen if you did nothing. -
I think it might be simpler than you think. Start with one small area and modify your behavior as it pertains to that particular sequence. Maybe it could be something like making your bed differently - but do the task with the attitude of inner improvement. You 'become' the task, you are not separate from it. That will make you feel good, maybe getting your day off on the right foot. Continue making your bed in the new way (maybe military folds at the corners, etc) until it's second nature. Then, look for another area in your life that you'd like to improve. Maybe it's how you respond to someone - maybe you're short tempered with them. Try changing your reaction to that particular person - this will start to move the inertia inside of you. Maybe 'being kind' as opposed to ignoring them. And then, just keep going as things come up. The important thing to remember, is that if you are finding inner changes uncomfortable, there is something inside you that needs to be addressed. The secret in all this is that we keep replaying the emotions that we were imprinted with in early childhood. Of course, I don't know anything about you - but your ennui towards life may well be a repetition of childhood. It may be an emotion you are very familiar with, and in that sense, it's "home". So it continues to be acted out until something changes the switch that wants to stay unengaged. Maybe you just "tuned out" on stuff that was going on around the house. Actually, that kind of fits. Were you brought up in a confusing or chaotic home? Did you just decide to drop out one day, enabling you to stay separated from the chaos? Just the fact that this concerns you is an indication that changes are upcoming.

What aligns with this is the very first line of the Tao Te Ching; The Dao that can be spoken of is not the true Dao. I guess the thinking in some traditions is that if it is spoken of, it's concept is confined just by the word.

Desire is only a problem when it becomes craving.

I understand about the word. Many find that as their knowledge of metaphysics increases, their structure diminishes. That's what I was referring to. I'm sure this is my own lack of knowledge talking. Non-duality is a common theme here, and a structure requires an amount of compliance, which would be a dual action. You appear to me to be someone that is seeking freedom. I see an internal shakeup in the making.
