Okay what many seem to forget is transcendental reality is already realized. Many seem to 'want' to 'attain' earthly immortality, spiritual immortality and 'celestial' immortality and move to penglai. However even if one is a celestial immortal in penglai there are still mental projections, images, and delusions of the immortal realm that block fundamental reality or the Dao. So when you attain the dao you go to penglai? hmmm... One still could ask oneself "who is it that is ascending" and "perceiving this awareness of heavenly realms", and then abide as that transcendental state where there are no heavens, no hells, no powers, no ascensions, with not even an attachment to formlessness.... the funny thing is one need to go to penglai to ask these questions or to abide as the fundamental reality. Dantians and yin and yang and the five elements etc only exist to the mind because theres still a question of subject and object therefore its only an illusion... super normal powers are also an illusion just to trap the ego... whereas fundamental reality transcends all of it. Now im not antidaoist and do have an very authentic daoist alchemical practice but i feel that sometimes there is not enough emphasis of complete reality. They state those who complete of only are xing are ghost because they do not fill xing with ming to travel to higher realms to become a celestial immortal... thing is all that still exists only to the mind/ego... in addition many tibetian buddhist achieved the rainbow body by working with the 5 purelights.... not necessarily the yuan qi and yuan jing etc... Also many such as ramana marharishi realized complete reality and liberation with none of that... but only the practice of adhering to fundamental reality or the SELF (no ming or 'xing' for that matter) - thats not to say he didnt have power, tales of bilocating 'yang' spirits and invisibility (powers that pertain to daoist immortals) accompany his stories.

ming is your battery (yuan chi) - when u loose it you die - xing always exists throughout reincarnations - essential nature, the original self, yuan shen, every sect has different methods to restore ming.. all authentic sects lead to celestial immortality/rainbowbody, golden immortals

u know all these arguments about inner alchemy, who has really lived, and died to completely kill the post-heaven mind of ego shi shen, who as reached enlightenment and perfected their xing! All these arguments, thoughts, and emotions hinder development... sages of old shut their mouths and held there tongue not speaking, nor hearing, only dwelling in Dao, silently purifying there minds, and restoring their mind...

Okay... i see what you are saying. First of all, yuan shen means light of realization. You use that shen to purify the qi. Yuan jing means positive vitality stirring at living midnight where one uses shen to attend qi to circulate the orbit. This sublimation creates yuan qi. But, you also have internal and external medicine. combination of yuan jing, yuan qi, and yuan shen naturally creates the golden pill. so in qigong one circulates the orbit with the shen leaking, and the qi and jing impure. Therefore the most you can expect is increasing health i guess thats the basic layout... harmonizing the breath only stills the mind for the appearance of yuan shen, and fills the lower dantian with external qi, but when its stilled the true breathing can occur.

this thread is refreshing... you are right... whats most important is the refinement of essential nature - without that no alchemy can occur One of the best advice for refinement of essence xing... yuan shen.. all we are is vitality energy and spirit, refining xing, nourishes true shen, qi, and jing automatically

i hope you know what your doing. and u have the right practice.. u don't wanna find u did a thousand days for nothing - if u were with a real master with 3 years of celibacy you could be somewhat of an immortal by the end...

yes do dantian breathing, spring forest qigong, flying phoenix, there are many good systems.. but go see a healer.. don't deplete your jing

if ur having ear and eye pain and head aches after masturbating - i mean damn ur really loosing yuan chi - u better stop it till you get your health back - ears and related to kidneys, eyes to the liver, and if ur getting headaches that means ur depleting your essential qi... go see acupuncturist or qigong healer...

you have to ask your self why you want to practice? if its not to reach god and be one with the dao you'll fall short and yinshen earthly mind will over power

What are you doing to sublimate it? imo you have to breathe to your dantian and empty your mind constantly so you can find your true self... purify your mind to purify your chi to see your ling... When i get confused i just try to picture my self as a newborn - pure, knows nothing, contended, deals with no names, doesn't know the self or others, and only uses sincere true feeling to communicate every time you think 'I' you loose your true self and experience a delusion - be empty so you can see the light (ling) of your true self the reason why u had a headache when the chi entered ur brain was because your jing was not pure (corrupted by false heart) - if its the positive vitality you wont get a headache and u'll feel bliss in your heart... fantasies are sprung by artificial conditionings and mortal karma for lifetimes... do away with all of them - they'll only lead to suffering (does a baby have fantasies?? no because he's perfectly contended and one with his true self)

Once you experience the FP sublime energy you can realize that the FP energy is energy of the one-power - heavenly qi thats closer to the frequency of the Dao than most.... But this is just my limited experience from a couple of sessions of the flying phoenix system. Sifu Terry will probably expound on this much greater and deeper way For some reason i think it has to go with the "quality" and "purity" of energy that FP works with... You see often the mopai threads are silly, and with lot of spite and anger, So for practitioners of FP system, the heavenly qi connects us more to the dao which all anger, hate, and fighting are contrary with

its wrong to see the void as void - in emptiness heres substance - pure yang - look for that - dont fall into the yin realm of darkness and coldness

FP is just something else - she my sister will definitely be practicing the FP - ill video tape the practice in a couple of months. More on FP - Ive convinced my mother to start FP - so this is her third day - shes feeling the energy but shes new to qigong HOWEVER - my little sister has x-ray vision through the light of her shen... she says when my mother does FP all around her becomes a LIGHT SKY BLUE COLOR THis is just further proof how Flying Phoenix is one of its kind - CELESTIAL CHI IS CORRECT! Oh and the comment of FP energy completely over-riding any energy that in the system while your doing the meditations - yes i remember when i did the form posted by GMDW on youtube, the healing qi completely filled my energy field and made it very light and ethereal - which was a shocker the first time i did it because it had compeltely chaged what i had been doing a couple hours before But i would like to ask - since FP is such an amazing high level system cultivating a heavenly chi and working with brain alchemy, does it in time restore the power of heaven in the body itself , ie with a battery in the dantian that never goes away or dissipates? I am also asking since FP is a taoist art right?

well youre supposed to be able to do that once you create the gold elixir in the body - many taoist were known to hold 1 breath for 6 months... well that guru in the end is a immortal - no yin - no urine, sweat etc - thats one of sign - and without the need to eat or drink - CHeck out dicussions between zhong and lu

just for discussion to compare different energies and how they react: normally due to my practice i have a dense and buzzing field around me. Today i did the the Doo wai FP med cause i absorbed some sick qi by accident - though the meditation completely got rid of the sick qi i also notice how the FP energy makes mine more 'softer' and 'fluffy' - like my field reduced in density as the FP energy made its way through it.... I am interested in the eight sections of energy - FP practitioners : how do you feel this meditation reacts to your FP energy?

Sifu Garry, I just sent an email to order the first video series of the Sunn Yee Gong. I just have a few more questions. Since you practice many other systems such as burning palm, red dragon, etc, do you feel all the energies of each system compliment and add to each other? Since Sunn Yee gong works with heavenly energy and brain alchemy, manifesting the white light of ones yuan shen, how does the inner thunder result? Does it result when the white light goes down to the lower elixir field whereupon rumbling sounds are heard, and kan and li copulate automatically after which embryonic breathing results. (dragon and tiger) Or is what im describing a completely different alchemy. Sorry for the questions, or if im talking too much theory. Thanks so much for releasing the sunn yee gong! Best wishes! Haha yeah it was pretty tough - i leant another one today - but its worth it - you know what you could do - get VLC and slow the vid down to 50% then its easier... I really want to try the sunn yee gong now - i never realized how powerful the breath percentages are
