  1. It does Especially with this word "flow" I've been thinking a lot about what it really is to meditate...and the sense of good blood flow created from the concentration on breathing is key for me. The simple concept of getting oxygen in to the blood and having healthy circulation. But also, as you say, mental blockages or stress...how this then leads to physical tension. So I guess to an extent that massage is also "qi cultivation"? I guess also acupuncture therapy etc.
  2. ego mind is really Christ Mind

It took me a while but I feel I have my own response to this at last. I do agree that there is little differentiating between an ego and christ mind/buddha nature etc. To go as far as to call it an illusion, I don't know. But as far as ego goes, all I know is that it is vital. Religious and spiritual teaching wouldn't be here on earth unless somebody had enough ego and audacity to write them down and sell them to us.
  3. I never did understand your "get the hell out of the way comment"...could you please explain? Blockages caused by stress per se? So qi cultivation being "letting go" of the tensions?
  4. Golden Immortal

I only really know of the 8 immortals in Taoism which I take with a pinch of salt (because I live in England and these are probably about as relevant as Jesus, Buddha, Mohammad, Krishna and so forth)
  5. "Energized" Water

Hey all. What does everybody think of this? Legitimate or mad pseudo-science? A friend of mine works in an mlm company and is trying to move this thing called a biodisk on to me. This glass coaster thing, is said to restructure particles so that the water is energized. Sounds far fetched to me, but then he demonstrated it with sugar. The sachet went on to the biodisk for ten mins, and when he opened it, the sugar was gloriously smooth. A normal sachet was rough and uneven. Now, that seems like a really cool magic trick. Alternatively, I did indeed see with my very eyes a coaster change the form of sugar. The water I placed on it did taste different, to be fair. But even if it is doing something, who's to say that it is really enhancing the quality of the water? What are you opinions. I'm a sceptic-hippy so I never manage to make my own mind up haha.
  6. "Energized" Water

Hence this device...not electrical. Positive energy waves are within the glass, apparently...
  7. Caffeine pills?

Hahaha...I bet this is only skimming the surface of legendary stories. I want to hear more!
  8. Caffeine pills?

I agree with the above. With high caffeine comes a big come down. A diet including good veg, pulses and anything that contains electrolytes will help maintain vitality. I always say if you think you need coffee, you probably need sleep. Or a glass of water and a banana XD
  9. 1) 1 2) 2 3) 3 3 was just boring as hell.
  10. "Energized" Water

    Wow!
  11. "Energized" Water

Hi. What are your reasons for not believing? They were sugar sachets...the type you get at coffee shops, so smaller.
  12. "Energized" Water

Here it is: http://www.amezcua.com/biodisc.html Will respond to other comments over time. Just between meeting at the mo.
  13. "Energized" Water

Looks like it, though no pic on the site.
  14. "Energized" Water

No, that's the thing. Pure glass with chakra circles engrained...apparently made by the guys that do glass for NASA! I will see if I can get a pic.
  15. ...

I am im agreement with those that talk about this being a mind issue. Maybe not self-control but commitment to not actually allowing the sexual desire to win over rationality. May I ask, where the part of you is that empathises with other people's feelings? From what I'm reading, it all looks very "I have these sexual impulses that I must control." And "Therefore,I must find a way to fix myself". What this really should be about is the other people that come in to your life. Start practicing how you can be of service to friends' needs instead. Over time, you own feelings will become less important and the unsatisfactory desires will diminish. "We can't solve problems by using the same kind of thinking we used when we created them." - Albert Einstein
  16. Negativity...

...is inevitable. It cannot be avoided (People are so miserable, aren't they?!) So why entertain it? Cultivate positivity to balance it out! Thank you and good night =P
  17. What can you do without a teacher?

I don't have a teacher but have done ok up to this point. Bits of help from my Kung Fu teacher, friends, family, this forum, being in a band...I learn a lot from these as it is! I now wish to learn some qi gong/lower dan tien exercises as I understand this is good for depression. I seem to be slipping again, due to some changes in life and feel that I could benefit from some daily morning exercises. Does anybody here have a good youtube channel for basics? Anything I've found seems either too advanced or I'm unsure how genuine the info is...
  18. I'm so happy this thread came up. I got so tired of lucid nightmares...thankfully it's nearly been a year.
  19. As long as you feel like you're being helped or are learning and moving on, then all is good That post of yours was vague, but I trust you know what you mean.
  20. You're from England, aren't you? Snap! Yes, I always say there is you and then your thoughts. Only a weak, lazy or untrained conscience can allow the madness to override "you". Hence the grounding/mindfulness advice
  21. Negativity...

True. Sidewalk makes more sense than pavement too. I love the "douche" insult as well...that's funny. Is that negative? Maybe it's positive because it's a joke. Idk any more =P
  22. Turning vegetarian - need advice

About the research in Dallas, I will check that out, thank you. As for the bible references, I see this as no justification whatsoever.
  23. Negativity...

(Answer 2, to cover the literal) I can imagine. Why am I using Americanisms anyway?!
  24. Negativity...

Depends who is giving the two cents.
  25. Don't be embarrased dude, otherwise I'll have to be for many of my previous posts! The mind is silly.. use this forum to unleash its silly ways. Will do a great deal in the long run. Glad you're back up and functioning! Edit: also, by keeping your original post up, you can use it as something to look back on to mark progress. Or even to help someone else in a similar position. No pressure of course, just an idea for next time (if there is one!)
