  1. If I say, "ok, you're right", will that make things easier to communicate with you? Shall we try that?
  2. Who are we talking about? You are me? And I think we are as bad as each other here. If I in any way, implied that I wanted to be your student, I'm sorry lol. I didn't intend to confuse. As for my faults, I am very aware of them myself, yes. I'm just not convinved that you are.
  3. In addition, @Exalted, why do you expect so many experts to be on an internet forum full of false profile pics? Forums usually open up for people with questions to talk about stuff they don't know too much about. The experts are always few...
  4. Ladies and gentlemen, our psychic here predicts I am a woman. I had better stop bullying you, just in case it makes me cry again. Lord, seriously, you make no sense. Sure, don't lower yourself, it might wind you up. Oh wait...
  5. One "issue" I have with this site.

@Exalted Well it's not necesaarily an issue. Plenty of us agree with the things that you question. It's not really an issue that say 80% practice a form of Taoism that doesn't fit your understanding. So you feel you got it right? Be happy about it
  6. To paragraph 1, fine, yes. Of course. You still haven't addressed the fact that I was saying you have come in and laid down insults as opposed to being polite about such an entrance. I don't disagree with what you say neccessarily. What if I walked into a Christian church one day and yelled out in the middle of the ceremony "you're doing it all wrong!" and decided to roll on with a lecture. How well would that go down. To paragraph 2.The thread is over and done with? Ok, I apologise for logging in too late. I didn't realise that it was over and done with and that was your call. I have stuff to do with my life, so I can't be on this website ALL the time. To paragraph 3. First of all, I didn't "try to claim"...I "did claim". Second, what tactics? What on earth are you talking about? And tricking mods? Dude, you are paranoid or exaggerating. One of the two. I'm not upset...I have met people like you on forums before and it usually ends up in tears for other members, so I'm figuring out whether your posts are even serious or not. For someone who's supposedly enlightened, you don't seem very smart. Otherwise you would have got this diploma you speak of in your other thread without spending a dozen pages finding reasons NOT to take advice given to you. So that is my take. Perhaps if you want to talk more, we should carry on in DMs? That way, you can continue to talk to me like the teacher that you think that you are, and I will happily be open to whatever it is you want to say. And also, to your Tao Te Ching comment, I am glad you know so much about me to stick this little comment in. Bravo.
  7. I get it, but is it really necessary to open a thread like this in Taoist discussion? Talk about taking jabs. I see where he's coming from and I have no problem with mockery but this particular thread is unprovoked. You too have opened some interesting and challenging threads but at least you have been respectful in asking genuine questions rather than just coming through and throwing your opinions around at the first instance.
  8. Another fair point. Stubborn and sarcastic then, to be more precise.
  9. That is a fair point. I'm sure you can appreciate that the way you deliver stuff makes it sound like you are ignorant though. Just a heads up.
  10. I want a diploma.

Damm! Good point. I wonder how Dalai Lama gets on. Nevermind. I will get back to the drawing board.
  11. I want a diploma.

I got it....invest your time in stand up comedy. You have the talent! Then you get will get fans. THEN you can slowly introduce your wisdom to them and they will follow! An alternative to this diploma idea that seems to have fallen through.
  12. I want a diploma.

I did edit my post...please read my elaboration. If people stopped grasping for messiah status, then we would live in a better world. "Wanting" is from desire...so it is clear to me that for you, isn't about helping people. It's about the fame.
  13. Mind Control in the Martial Arts

Oh, get ya. Yeah, as I was responding to CD and as you quoted me, I thought you where implying that I was in favour of brainwashing haha. No worries.
  14. I want a diploma.

Exactly. Dalai Lama is a good role model and celebrity. Nothing more. If no one even close will listen to you without a piece of paper, then you must not have anything to offer anyway. I'm not "enlightened" but can still help my community, friends and family live in peace as best as I can.
  15. I want a diploma.

You're actually serious? A sage needs no recognition.
  16. I had virtually the same thing happen 10 years ago! I was robbed by a gang of 4. I cancelled everything and then got a phone call from a Jehovah's Witness saying my wallet was in her front garden. So I went to collect it and found everything was still there minus my £5 note (not quite £500) and my cancelled debit card. Inside was a hotel receipt from the previous week which just so happened to have my phone number on...that's how the lady that found it got back to me. Funny how things work out.
  17. Hehe, daughter starting young eh? Already spending daddy's money?
  18. I do tend to find that if I generally do kind things like this, it returns to me. I have had similiar things happen with losing wallet, or leaving money hanging out of the cash machine when making a withdrawl. They have always been handed in. So keep up the random acts of kindness. And practice hanging on to your stuff!
  19. Mind Control in the Martial Arts

I never said it should ...
  20. Mind Control in the Martial Arts

Haha. i see how you got confused Read the link in the OP...very interesting stuff.
  21. Should Thunder_Gooch have been banned?

    Hehe, the Tao isn't serious
  22. Mind Control in the Martial Arts

Mind contol...as in a teacher brainwashing students with negative and useless ideas...
  23. Mind Control in the Martial Arts

Try Wing Chun if you have a school near you. It takes Taoist principles of softness while still teaching you how to defend yourself. Karate is unrealistic an ineffective imo...
  24. Mind Control in the Martial Arts

This is what I like about my instructor. He teaches what HE was taught, so all questions are welcome. He takes pride in our progress. He also tweaks a lot and changes stuff. Throws stuff out if it appears useless.
