  1. Chuang Tzu Chapter 4, Section A

I remember having a similar chat with Stosh a couple of months ago. It seems to me that anything done with thought and/or emotion is somewhat distant from nature. I use happiness and sadness as an example. To the extremes, there is moments of sheer excitement and ecstacy, and there is depression. Both equally as illusory as each other....as well as anything else on the spectrum. But then there is that feeling...that undescribable feeling. It relates not to happiness or excitement, but it just feels "right". It makes us content with things. I, as well as everyone I'm sure, reach this in mediation. So for me, this chapter is a display and an example of how ideas between two oppoaing forces cannot be changed. The attempts will be futile and the desire to want to change things is so far from the Tao and can only lead to that illusory emotion of disappointment.
  2. HOW TO PREVENT CANCER?

    Hey, leave my mind alone
  3. Turning vegetarian - need advice

Haha...which I get from...? (puzzle nearly complete!!! Yay!)
  4. Turning vegetarian - need advice

Haha, biology was my worst of the three science subjects at school. So, are you simply saying that animal could be essential for my digestion? I need biology stuff spelt out to me!
  5. Turning vegetarian - need advice

Are you telling me to munch on a dog or am I really confused right now? Lol
  6. Turning vegetarian - need advice

Ok, what is this? Google just gives me Marvel comics parasites...
  7. HOW TO PREVENT CANCER?

Not all smokers get cancer. I believe the mindset to be the root of the cause. In fact, I believe the mindset to be the cause of everything.
  8. Turning vegetarian - need advice

But yes, screw dairy. I don't really like the stuff. Just pizza and occasionally cappucino
  9. Turning vegetarian - need advice

Sure, in fact, last time I went to see a local nutritionist, I got nowhere. But I want to see a GP to simply say "my guts are spilling. Is this ok?" To me, this is odd. I don't see how it can possibly take 3 weeks to "adapt"...
  10. Debunking a Creator

Can't prove either argument...it's of little importance. BUT, we do have perception. That's all we have. So we create this perception...a dream or reality...both the same in the sense that all we can do it perceive and see images/have physical and emotional feelings.
  11. Damn. Atheists, Buddhists, Jews, ,ancient South American tribes who could never have known of Jesus... the list goes on. That's a hella lot of antichrists!
  12. Turning vegetarian - need advice

Ok, but I'm almost 3 weeks in. And two weeks prior, I was gradually reducing meat to consume every other day. Ever since, I've been needing to visit the bathroom 4-5 times a day!!
  13. Turning vegetarian - need advice

Hehe, I knew it was only a matter of time before you stepped in. Absolutely. I'm calling the GP first thing in the morning to get an appointment. But I wasn't talking about eating grass. Just they plant-based diet that appears to cause digestive issues...too much flora leading to methane production.
  14. Turning vegetarian - need advice

From what I remember, pretty much the same problem that cows have? Those dudes need to eat like 24/7 and have hard work digesting... http://wiki.answers.com/Q/Why_does_a_vegetarian's_farts_smell_worse_than_average
  15. Turning vegetarian - need advice

Do you really know if these Shaolin kids are ok? I would say I work my body to the limit every day too. Right now, with frequent breaks. To anybody else though, I would still appear ok. I'm hardly making this all obvious in public haha. But yes, the diet has been lots of veg and rice/potatoes/bread as well as oats, nuts, pulses, eggs, and fruit. There's nothing else out there unless I go for processed stuff, which I avoided when I was eating meat (from the local butchers and fish from the mongers)
  16. Turning vegetarian - need advice

Yeah, no doubt having a poor combination of any foods causes this. But from eating the odd meaty pizza, this would only be a temporary thing, for a morning or a day, perhaps. Over the last few week, it's not just the farts, but random constipation then loose stools. Basically, my bowels don't know if they're coming or going.
  17. Turning vegetarian - need advice

Hello again. Short of explaining everything I'm going through (on my third week) , this article says it all... http://daiasolgaia.com/?p=2750 I am very happy that this thread turned into a debate about the decision as now it is very important. I'm even more open to Taomeow's opinion (who will only say "I told you so") but if anybody has any wisdom as to if I'm just "doing it wrong" , I'm also all ears. I want to hear more from the Tao Bums...I trust many on here...and I do not know thr person that wrotr this. But in short, very soon I could be back on the meat. My guts are fucked. Also, if everyone was veggie, apparently the methane from farts would be devestating to the atmosphere...so I read somewhere else. Discuss! Now. While I'm still alive haha...
  18. Interesting picture - your feelings.

Yes, I would "like" that Beauty, freedom, liberation and escape come to mind. But in particular, a one-to-one connection with God/Universe/Tao....perhaps...enlightenment.
  19. Pain when expressing love

We all have our own answers. Just takes another person to get them out of ourselves sometimes! Good going!
  20. Also, verse 29...I had a lucid dream of this when I was 14. I will never forget.
  21. In fact, don't answe that. Just read the Matthew chapter (24) Yeah, might as well stop trying to predict the date ourselves then!
  22. That's all well and good...I have no doubt that such prophecies may well come true All I'm saying is that I thought we were talking about man stopping man from ending the world.Or is God ending the world? Or is God ending the world via humans?
  23. Myths about Tea and Caffeine

Lol. According to another thread on this forum, boredom is in league with apathy etc. Cultivation will cure the boredom and keep us sober too... I've been eating chocolate relentlessly for 24 years (I guess years 1 and 2 I wasn't) I don't have diabetes yet. Start as you mean to go on haha. MH, you're a terrible role model
