  1. It can't be competing since you have already said it. You don't need to be a Taoist immortal to live through 100 years. Being a Taoist immortal does not rob you the ability to have a healthier body. The effect is the reserved. Go google sambhogakaya if you want to know what it means when highly realized beings begin to appear in your dreams.
  2. Hahahahahahahaha....is easy. Don't get into any relationship. For me, it was easy because I just don't have any experiences with relationship. I am not bad looking. I kind of look like Takeshi Kaneshiro. Somehow, things never worked out. There is this saying in Chinese 有緣無份...loosely translating into "destiny brings two people together but fate and external influence dividing them apart forever." I believe that in my previous life, I was either an accomplished monk or some high level cultivator. As a result, karma does not permit me to develop any meaningful relationship with the opposite sex.
  3. Besides, it is not uncommon for people to live beyond 100. It does not mean they are Taoist immortals. If you can live through 200, yes, I would believe you. Still, I can not see any Taoist immortals living through more than 100 and not feeling tired of the body. If you can meditate without sleep and eating for months or years, why you need the body.
  4. Hahahahahahahaha..... Well, I have to ask him in my dreams then....hehehehe...
  5. Who is this Chi Kung master? This duality thinking of the Tao....Hahahaha... First, not all Jing are the same. Jing conserved or retented from lusts and sexual desires can not be transmuted regardless how long you have been holding up. Do a search here with people practicing semen retention and complaining about bad mood and depression. Eventually, you would build up so much yang energy that you have to release it or feeling very agitated. Only jing energy without any lusts and sexual desires can be transmuted to Chi and chi to shen. When this happens, the microcosmic and macrocosmic orbits would be set in motions. At this stage, when you meditate, the chi would naturally flow through all over your body with a sense of warm and micro vibrations. In a higher level, you would hear your chakras vibrating as well. At this level, the mind isn't separated from the body. They are and the same. There is no either or. Of course, like doing endurance exercise, if you deliberately abuse and running down your body, you have to rest and recover. If you meditate too extensively and feeling like in your head most of the times, you need to ground yourself.
  6. The Chi regulates itself. You don't need to use extra work and it would cause slow changes in your body slowly. Two, you can not have an immortal body without the birth of the immortal fetus. Is not the either or. It makes no sense. You are too attached to the body. It is the mind, the Tao mind, that give birth to immortality, the spirit. The body will come and go regardless...
  7. Is she a legit chi kung master? Is a non-duality answer. Your immortality would manifest in heavenly realm because you have become one of the Taoist immortals..because of your cultivation achievement and accomplishment. This in turn, these highly realized beings would manifest themselves in others' dreams in order to guide those who are worthy. Your body may or may not live long. Rest assured, you would have commands of your body. Generally, illness and sickness should not trouble you. When you are ready to leave this world, you could do it at will. If you follow the Tibetan esoteric Buddhism, your body would disappear with few traces left once your mind is ready to leave this world.
  8. FYI, a normal mind trying to draw causal connections to a chain of non-causal events is called superstitions....LOL You do wonder why traditional Chinese culture practiced by commoners is so superstitious..... A base mind, a prejudice mind can not know synchronicity. Is impossible. The mind isn't with the Tao and isn't with wu wei wu. It can not know things objectively.
  9. Maybe in their dreams. Appearance of numbers in your dream states and in your real life are very common.
  10. A normal mind can not perceive a chain of non-causal events. If the mind can't perceive them, it won't matter if the events are unfolding or not. A mind with the wu wei wu, it can perceive and even to influence these events in order to produce an intended outcome.
  11. I think that's because he sees the mind or the consciousness to incorporate all aspects of the repressed mind. Clinically, that's how you deal with issues. To bring them to the surface and to make them to become a part of your personality, your overall conscious thoughts. And the next step is to realize that all suffering, your past issues, are or were impermanent. Therefore, they aren't or were not real to begin with. If they weren't real, the defense mechanism of your ego developed to deal with them isn't or wasn't real to begin with. Thereby, your ego would dissolve completely. For an example...because of certain injustice you felt as a child, you developed this idea that you want to make a difference in this world by becoming a social activist in some forms or others (lawyers, social workers, nurses, and etc). Then, you come to the conclusion that your pain and suffering were never real to begin with (maybe because they don't affect you the same way and etc). Then, there are no reasons for your ego's defense mechanism to exist at all. There, your ego has just been dissolved. Once your ego is gone because its existence is no longer justifiable, that's when the Tao would emerge. Or begin to emerge.... That's when the real spiritual work or spiritual cultivation begins.
  12. The Christian Tribe...

Don't go there. Bush launched his Iraq War as a Christian crusade. I saw it in my dream. He was a preacher and talking about his crusade, inside his church. Think about this as to what it means to say America must spread the seed of democracy across the world???
  13. The Christian Tribe...

Hmmm...we are talking about Christianity as a religion, not as a race of people. If the religion calls for mass conversion and telling people that their gods are false and they must worship Jesus Christ or else........it does not make Christianity any better than Islam.
  14. The Christian Tribe...

Yeah, Christians used to do that, fyi..... Don't judge Christianity based on what you are experiencing today.
  15. The Christian Tribe...

Christians do not go to wars amongst themselves for a long, long time. There are really no more tribes. If you profess to be an either Protestant or Catholic, no one really cares. The only religion which is making a headway in these day and age is Islam and their Islamic, IS, terrorists.
  16. Carl jung and eastern thought

Nothing really changed much....he was living through the 30s and 40s in Europe...when the Nazi was overrunning the entire continent. He may even "had" friends who were Jews and suddenly they were "gone." I am not surprised if he was using drugs and other means to escape into this own world. However, he was creative enough to become a sort of a poet, a healer...and to set out his ideas into writings.
  17. Carl jung and eastern thought

Definitely pickup the Two Essays on Analytical Psychology. The Carl Jung's Letters are a bit rare to buy nowadays...hehehe..
  18. Carl jung and eastern thought

You really have to read several of his works and maybe his biography to really understand him. To see where he is coming from and why he is so different from Freud. Looking back right now, his thinking and his philosophy are useful for those who are seeking a spiritual path but coming from a troubled life history. When I was reading his works, I came up to several passages that described my mental conditions at that time...when I was dealing with my childhood experiences, and how I was being treated by my peers in school and college. He explained why it ought to happen...because of the hero's archetype...all heroes must undergo a dark period in order to emerge as a champion of the Self. His thinking and his works affirmed my life struggles..in which no one cared in my immediate surrounding. The realization was so tremendous that I felt like a new person and feeling very empowered. You must realize that as a result of reading his works, I was consciously liberated. Not long after, I was spiritually liberated by experiencing my first Kundalini energry rising or the MCO, spontaneously. FYI, without him, Joseph Campel would not exist. Without him, we would have no George Lucas and his Star Wars.....hehehehhe.... For those who are already on the path, some of his eastern thoughts may appear very simplistic and not in depth enough.
  19. Carl jung and eastern thought

I am not the only one who feels this way. This is Tao Bum and I expect our discussions are loosely based in Taoism or Eastern thoughts, and somewhat more intelligent. This thread is a perfect example. Shooting Carl Jung as Newage. Hell, he made his name during the early 1930s. That's nothing newage about his psychology. Few of his posts he offered his opinions but I didn't detect anything he wrote loosely resembling or mentioning anything about Carl Jung's psychology. Collective unconscious? The archetype? The persona or the mask? Individualization? Why he is different than Freud? His idea that Nietzsche as a prophet of an age without Christianity? Christian Agnosticism? Carl Jung became the medicine man of the west, at least, during his life time.
  20. Strength of concentration in MCO

Chi goes where the mind (intent) goes..... You just have to passively focus on the LDT or the Ming Men, the chi would eventually go there.
  21. My I Ching is my dreams.... I am getting some interesting dreams lately. Have to see how things would unfold as long as I am doing what I should be doing right now....
  22. Carl jung and eastern thought

There...you are a troll...and wasting our time. You know nothing..... BTW, if you keep on trolling, I will report you to the moderator....
  23. Strength of concentration in MCO

The LDT is few inches below your navel. Opposite of the navel is the back, the spine, is called the Gate of Life and Death or Ming Men. In the beginning, you can gather the chi from these 2 places.
  24. Carl jung and eastern thought

Give it up Karl...you are more and more acting like a troll. We are talking about Carl Jung, not another debates about what is emptiness and etc. Frankly, your rationalization and psychologicalization do not interest me much. You didn't read his works. I read ALL, I mean ALL, of his works, including his lectures on dissecting the Nietzsche phenomena. Do you know what that is??? Carl Jung was stuck in an age when men were living a life lacking spiritual meanings. Not surprised since the early 1900s was a very traumatic period in the human history with wars and genocides, and old govts and societies were being dismantled...when west met east resulting in colonization of the human race. He discovered that the human archetype is universal and they manifested in myths. What is the human archetype? The individualization of the Self.....the hero's path to enlightenment and liberation. These archetypes manifest themselves in our dreams across cultures. Like I said, if your mind is still dreaming about sex, you aren't ready for Carl Jung. In fact, you aren't ready for ANY spiritual cultivations. Please, stop trolling....No, you don't know anything but you think you do...
  25. Carl jung and eastern thought

Go google on Analytical Psychology...that's what he calls his psychology.
