Dealing with customers, Being around people a lot

Here is Karma at work, I think... Besides, as a defender of the dharma, you are supposed to find yourself in the mist of human suffering. Your role is to help others.... -
Do entities really hang out in certain places?
ChiForce replied to becomethepath's topic in General Discussion
Ok, looks like you are sensitive to spirit beings. First, you must not attach to appearances. Regardless if the entities are from the lower or higher realms. Frankly, you don't know or it does not matter as soon as you are interacting with them. Learn to see them with your third eye. I dream of ghost and spirits plenty. My latest encounter was a pretty tall woman. I supposed she was attractive but I didn't look at her face until I told her that she was dead. Apparently, she wanted me to go to Florida with her. I realized that that was not possible because she was already dead. If I actually go to Florida, I would be actually going there by myself. Isn't fun. In this dream, I even had to show her that she was dead. Putting her hands on a hot stove and she didn't feel a thing. You must have compassion. See the entities the way they truly are. Don't judge them by the appearances. -

I am a Chinese American and knew people (owners of some garment factories back in the days) who worship Buddhism and even have a huge Buddha statue at home just so that they can pray to the Buddha they would win a lot in the casino.... LOL Well, they are all bankrupted and gambled their fortunes away. Dumbass... Please, don't tell me your parents are them... If so, tell your parents that the Buddha would not give a shit about their fortunes or if they win or lose in the casino.. Tell them they have committed the greatest blasphemy to expect the Buddha to help them in gaining fortunes.... -

Yeah, side incomes...hahahaha.... Let's get serious, unless you are really good, most of the times, you lose money. Look around you in the casino, there are players who are way over their heads. There are those who wager with huge money and they play in the special vip tables. If there are entities, you would find them there for sure. How much these people wager in each hand, thousands$$$$???? -

Well, why? Are you in some extreme emotional edge? If not, I doubt that entities would be interested in you.... -

Be compassionate.....have a genuine interest in the customers. I know, is a hard skill to master for most people. FYI, I used to be a store manager of one of the large retail chains. For 6 years. I can deal with all sorts of people and had many loyal customers of whom I addressed them by their first names. Those I couldn't deal with were thieves and shoplifters. If you are an ass, I can keep the conversation to the minimal. If you are an ass and unreasonable, I would hide behind the "store policy" to avoid in helping you. -

When the yin energy is strong, yes. The question do they attached to you??? It is an accepted practice that if your yang energy is strong, these entities do not bother you. -
Actually I did answer him by telling him under what conditions rebirth is possible. The idea of choice is only possible for those who have achieved certain degree of jhanas and samadhis. For most of us, there is no free will. Of course, we can indulge in fanciful thinking. Again, what for? Isn't it like asking what you would do if you are rich? Or you won the lottery?
-
The problem is that you aren't asking questions in how to make the best PB sandwich. You are asking if you can have full control in your rebirth. If so, would one decide to follow or not follow a spiritual path. The question is that do you have free will to choose your next rebirth. If so, in what forms you want to take. The answer is so obvious because the free will dies along at your death unless you have been an accomplished dharma cultivator. Well, you may not even have a free will when the body was alive. Look at all the people suffering in this world, rebirth is random for most of us and somewhat correlated to your karmas.
-
Nice, you ask a question and expecting a predictable answer....
-
If not, what is purpose of this thread then? Just more of fanciful thinking? There are the accepted knowledge and theories as to how rebirth should work. If we don't start from there, how do one even begin the discussion. So, every question and inquiry should go something like this "if only this happens, I could be this and do that...."
-
From what I read (like I have first hand experience in this?), you can't choose when or how you are reborn unless you have achieved certain degree of arhatship and be able to rest your mind in the heavens of either of the 3 realms, realm of desire, realm of form, and realm of formless. I am afraid the process is random for most of us. We can only influence the process a bit with good karmas we have accumulated throughout our lives. If you want to have some choices in your rebirth as to when and how, maybe one should strive for some degree of liberation in this life. If I understand correctly based on what I read, you can delay your next rebirth for few hundred years (or is it aeons?) depending on the degree of jhanas and samadhi level you have achieved.

I think that you shouldn't get sick because you have gained the mastery of your body, through the cultivation of the mind. Master Nan often makes the point that there is no point to cultivate and meditate if you haven't managed to cultivate your body as well. As soon as you get sick or in your old age, according to him, your mind becomes the object of your body. The body is controlling you.

Mindfulness is a mental or consciousness state of being you experience during meditation. It is a state in which you have achieved one point focus. A single focus on the state of emptiness, or the intermediate moment in between thoughts. Is not easy to achieve. When you do, you would know because you are a bit closer to experience samadhi. Third person view of the world is just simply seeing yourself both the subject and object of the world. You allow yourself to interact with the world. Detaching yourself in a situation or a phenomena. You begin to examine your own reaction in order to determine the nature of the experience.

What if you have no teachers and your kundalini energy experience is very sudden? Here, I think, you must have faith in yourself and to have faith that you would and could do good. Once the energy completes its circuit, your mind becomes very open. You would see gods and spirit beings. Hopefully, due to your merit of your past lives, you would receive guidance from benevolent beings. For examples, in my immediate past life, I was a soldier and I even witnessed myself being killed by a sniper bullet. Here, in one my nightly dream/vision episodes, I had a version of a young man radiated with golden light. He looks like me or I look like him, except the hair and eye colors. He appeared by my bedside as if he was there. He was passing on wisdom to me by allowing me to confront various life conditions. I woke up and freaked out and expected this young man was next to me!!! That was how real it was. I never dream or have visions of myself killing anyone though. There was some hint that I took a life because I saw my hands with blood at one time, in my dream. But the desire to kill and to hurt were never there at all.

I want to point that I too went through my kundalini crisis. Crisis brought on by the mental effect of the spiritual energy, specifically with my past life and its habitual energy. Let's see...hmm.... I had my experience when I was 18. 3 years later, I left the college I was in because the dean was "concern" about my intellectual development and so she suspended me officially, off the record. Hahaha.... That was fun. It even brought out more of my past life experiences and the habitual energy of the past. I was a soldier and a revolutionary (wink, wink). So I didn't take it too kindly of hostile actions by others. Gotten into some issues with another person of the opposite sex... It took me another 10 years to actually grasp the experience and all. I actually kind of put everything aside and to live a life with jobs and paying bills and indulging myself in expensive hobbies. My emotion for this person is lingered, but healing it and further re-enforced by my spirit guides. Why? I didn't know. It seems that through this person, as a result, I developed some connections with some higher spiritual beings. I didn't take up cultivation until 4 years ago. I decided to actively heal my past life by attending language courses of the country I was born in, in my past life. And to participate in political discussions as well. Let's just say I can name most of the ministers of this country govt than my own, current country, America. I also begin to think and act compassionately as well. Does the Kundalini energy destroy life? You bet. That's the whole point. That's how you can experience rebirth. Besides, the life it destroyed is probably not worth living. In fact, that life is the reason why one is experiencing the kundalini energy. It can be problematic if you have a career and a family and you are experiencing the kundalini energy. Is no telling what you can do.... Hopefully, the energy kundalini energy arrives before you have generated more karmas.....

Well, according to the Hinayana path, you can delay your rebirths or the next one once you have acquired certain merit and cultivation power. However, it is a wrong view to say that one should aspire to become completely liberated...the reality is that with each of your life time, you are liberated a little. Is it possible to become completely liberated if you are starting your cultivation process at point Zero???
-
Well, I agree with you. The form of the phenomena is multiple. That's the only thing which is universal about it. However, there is a reason why it is called the Dharma Gate. The first step you must take to illuminate the path. This, I am afraid, can't change. Realizing that form is not real and suffering is the result of clinging on to form. Are there any other ways to see and contemplate forms that would open up the Dharma Gate? Probably not.... Seeing forms as real instead? Well, there are billions of people clinging onto forms in this world, I don't see them becoming enlightened by clinging onto forms and to suffering from them.

The energy changes your body. Think of the energy the Chi and how, by opening the Chi channels, we can begin to cultivate your mind and body together.
-
I think there are 2 routes....the sudden "enlightenment" versus the gradual. I had the sudden surge. Did I know? I knew I was experiencing something really profound but didn't know what it was until years later. That does not alter the nature of the experience. The more I understand it, the more I realize that the experience itself is sensation. Sensation falls into the realm of skandha of sensation. Heheheh.... So, the more refined and enlightened you have become, the lesser these sensation would be to you. All the negative aspects of the experience are the result of the spiritual energy cleansing your body. I was lucky or maybe meant to be. I experienced no blockages. A straight path from my lower spin to my crown. The sense of wholeness and bliss you feel is phenomenal. Is like you spent your whole life looking at a palace at a distance. One day, because of the experience, you became the palace. Is a complete inversion of energy going outward to the world.....changing to directing the energy back to your inner, higher self.

I come to the conclusion there aren't that many forms of enlightenment paths one can follow. Would he be the Pratyekabuddha? I believe people living in the modern age would more or less follow this path. http://thetaobums.com/topic/29276-pratyekabuddha/ Hinayana? That's in the realm of arhatship and would require one to become a monk and to be well versed in the Buddhist scriptures. Mahayana? Probably the most difficult path to follow. Perhaps, his enlightenment belongs to the New Age category.....this I would pass.....

Here is what usually happens when your cultivate your Yeah, but the question is that can YOU cultivate your mind without drugs!!!! That's the whole point. Once your mind is refined enough by contemplating the nature of phenomena and its emptiness, you will experience the chi channel opening as well as various kundalini experiences. If you use drugs to promote these experiences and CAN'T cultivate without them, you mind isn't refined at all or even remotely cultivated. You are just fooling yourself with your "book."
-
No offense but are you going to have a disclaimer about your "knowledge" is from the use of drugs in your cultivation process?

I found this from Google. The description of the white Kasina is very interersting. Is almost like the White Skeleton Meditation but in a more deeper detail. For one thing, after the complete visualization of your skeleton, you can either focus the entire skeleton or any particular point you think you can visualize as white, white. That, I didn't know. Intuitively, I knew there has to be a point one must rest one's thought on. I always try to focus my entire skeleton but my point of focus tends to wandering to various part of my body. Then, it talks about the nimitta, sign as light, you are supposed to be seeing. http://www.visuddha-m-c.com/vmc%20sg/books%20doc/Pa%20Auk%20Sayadaw%20Books/Ten%20kasinas%20&%20others.pdf

Not sure what to say to you but if you are serious about the Path, you can't even plan anything in your life. Your plan is more or less the product of forms, illusions. The more you plan, the more you are under the illusions. Happiness, salary, and etc are all illusions. In the highest state of samadhi, there is neither sadness or joy. Now, if you are in the US, you should feel lucky that you have a job that pays well enough to live on. If you are in EU, you are lucky if you even have a job. Not sure about the economy in Asia right now.
