Have you mastered you current life and seeing the illusions of your own world? If not, there is no point in seeing the illusions of your past life.

Well, internal alchemy is simply about how to circulate the chi energy within your body and how your internal organs can benefit from it. So, you will live a longer life. Yi consciousness is simply the mind or the intent of the chi energy and how it controls the chi. Think the chi energy as a car and the yi consciousness is the wheel. Without the yi consciousness, your chi would go nowhere. Don't get too caught up by these concepts because once the chi energy is activated (usually that takes years with a diligent mind and body cleansing), it would move according to its own accord. The movement of the chi inside your body is called the microcosmic orbit. Your greatest challenge to activate your chi. This is usually involving refining your sexual energy into your spiritual chi. Again, this will take times, years and maybe decades.

Swapping entities stories??? All I can say is that merits play a huge role in what spirits are attracting to you. If your awakening is induced by the artificial, questionable means, you will attract harmful spirits. If your awakening (kundalini energy rising) is the result of merits, self analysis of the 5 skandhas, you will attract benevolent spirits. Even if you do encounter harmful spirits, you can literally deal with them in the dreams. For examples, couple of times, I dream of my boss and his boss represented as vampires with slimy faces, and red eyes. Several times, I dream of fighting and dealing with zombies. Zombies, in this case, are the symbol of the masses, the un-enlightened beings who would just go through the cycle of birth, death, and rebirth aimlessly. On both of these cases, I dealt with them at ease. With the benevolent spirits, I felt I am related to them, almost like they are my grandparents. Couple of them have been with me for over 15 years. I have been dreaming of them on and off for the past 15 years. A lot of times, they don't say much, maybe 1 or 2 sentences. Mostly, I would just interact with them and doing things.

You know, the evil entities I have to deal with all are real life people (my old boss and his boss, some dickhead individuals I have to deal with occasionally, and some random strangers, and in the past they were my professors in my old college). On the other hand, all of the spirits I encountered are very benevolent. Even a vampire entity I dream of few years back.

You are basically describing your physical symptoms. Has these entities appeared in your dreams? Do you have bad childhood memories? Are you currently dealing with certain "regular" life crisis? Schools, works, and other family issues. If yes, maybe you should work with those issues first before blaming some entities.

But what if I tell you that the entities are attracted to you because of your state of mind. As long as you are mentally vulnerable, you would still attract entities. Can you even describe what or who is this entities? Hey, is your money and your mind. I am not a fan of rituals, regardless of any spiritual methods.

I am not sure I can help but just want to point out that with normal individuals, dreams are very, very symbolic. If you have certain high degree of cultivation as well as psychic ability, dreams can be both symbolic and per-cognitive. Unfortunately, it is very hard to distinguish them. I say start by the "feeling" you get from your dreams first and to work from there.

There are a lot, as least what I could remember growing up in Hong Kong some 30+ years ago. Most likely, they are all in Chinese/Cantonese. Some of them are actually TV series too.

Looking back at my own experiences and my past, all I can say is that even entities are sentient beings. If one can assist them in any ways and to see who they really are/were, you would earn good merits and possibility changing your karma. These entities may appear because you and them share something in common..... It is just all about the collective human experiences.

That's correct. Karma in this case, stretches to multiple life times. The reason for one's birth is the result of past Karma. So, just because you did a good deed in your lunch break, it won't really change your karmic path in this life time.

Clinging and dwelling. It becomes obvious when this clinging and dwelling are still present even when the objects are no longer exist. Or when these clinging and dwelling feelings are coming from your past life!!!! For an example, longing for the love one you once lost or a past unfulfilled relationship. Ah, compassion and letting go.... Really not much you can do.

Ah...here is the pitfall. You should see yourself as the kundalini energy. To become part of it. Instead, you are clinging onto your ego self and describing this energy as alien or separated from who you are. When I had mine, I was no longer who I was. A new me was born. This new me never abandoned his quest regardless what turmoils he faced and "enemies" he confronted. Also, the energy will get refined when you begin to practice the microcosmic orbit. Now, the kundalini energy becomes Chi. Also, from what sense of goodness you have to judge that the kundalni energy is evil??? Maybe you have too much preconceptions to render the energy useless?

well, you have the experience without guidance but you were practicing energy meditation by yourself...that's probably the issues here. Yes, you can check out the healing section of the message board to see if anyone can recommend ways to unblock your kundalini energy. I don't follow any known school or methodology. I can't help you there. What worked for me back then was that I got heavily interested in classical music and philosophy. I was young too and somewhat active and didn't do drugs. I didn't experience any physical discomforts. If I were you, I would keep a journal about your emotions, dreams, and feelings. It helps you to grasp conceptually what is happening to you. And try to get your mind to involve with "high culture" or "high art." You want to associate your mind with things that are sublime and yet fundamental. Light as air and yet strong as trees. I find classical music meets this mental and conceptual requirements. You need to avoid dwelling in things that may stir your emotions (violent video games and movies, pop musics, and etc).

I think we should not use the language of psychoanalysis to understand the nature of the kundalini energy. We are dealing with the spiritual energy of the life and universe. Whatever is surfacing and can surface, they are beyond your mind, especially we are talking about collective human experiences over centuries and intercultural and interracial!!!! More importantly, not everyone can experience the kundalini energy rising. Some would go through life without knowing what it is.

Some of you needs to let the Dharma and Tao just be!!!!! We are talking about couple of thousands of years ago. The influence is mutually circular. Look at Chan Buddhism..... That is pretty much the Taoist version of Buddhism with the emphasis of sudden insight into the Dharma and resulting in sudden enlightenment. Must less relying on texts and scriptures. For the fact that Master Nan can talk about Buddhism and Taoism so interchangeably, it tells you something!!!!

Hehehehehe....HISTORICALLY speaking, Buddhist teaching influenced so much on Taoism is that you can't even distinguish the two. To say that the teaching of the Dharma is not Tao is totally, historically inaccurate. To say Dharma isn't Tao is also wrong. Anyway......moving on.......

Now, Kundalini energy rising is nothing but some sort of being possessed by something??? Sigh......Kundalini energy is the source of life. The essence of the life force of the universe, like Chi. However, its intent and method are very ruthless. It goes where it needs to go to cleanse the body. The more your body and mind are polluted, the harder and painful the experience would become. In the worst case, the energy can be so intense that you would suffer neurological damages. However, the experience itself is blissful....have you whole body and each molecule feeling awakened. The world around you becomes an illusion. Your ultimate reality is within you. And the light you see by your third eye if the energy manages to reach that far up. Of course, the blissful moment is only temporary because......you would begin to see things and events which are beyond you. This can lead to mental confusion and in the worst case, people around you may not like the "new you." Again, this is all the natural process of nature and spiritual development. Anyway, the OP didn't answer if the experience was induced by some alternate means or happened spontaneously.

Oh, well, since this is a message board about the Tao and the nature of Buddhism, it would be inevitable the issue of karma would come up. Has one caused negative karma to be in a divorce situation? Or being in a relation while you are still married? And a divorce situation that hasn't been completed or resolved for 5 years? Was she the reason for the divorce? I am just reading karma all over the place here.....

For the fact you can describe the energy as microcosmic orbit, you are already dealing with the circular movement of the energy (chi or Kundalini). From my own experiences as well text I read, a pure kundalini energy experience is one way only. From the tail of the spine to the crown of the head. The energy would just dissipate through the third eye and the head. The experience itself is very short lived, whereas in the microcosmic orbit, the energy is perpetually moving. That's usually a later, more advanced state of controlling and moving the kundalini energy.

Tao and the Dharma. Done. Next question.

Oh, that would be to achieve immortality through practicing internal alchemy and the manipulation of the chi energy throughout one's body via the yi consciousness. To obtain the perfect balance in mind and body via eating healthy food, performing deeds of merits, and meditation. And hopefully one can get all this accomplished in one's life time, maybe 2. And with the helps of other Taoist immortal beings from the past, that is if you are lucky enough to receive some guidance. Just a guess on my part....

By definition, it should be one. How many straight lines in one straight line? If it is universal like rain drops falling onto the ground, he too should receive some Tao wisdom regardless where, why, and when. Yet, the mind is still confused. For the OP, don't search the Tao since Tao is already here. If you are still looking, you are not looking for the Tao but something else.....

Why do you think there are entities around you anyway? If anything, the Kundalini energy would attract entities. The energy burns your chakras and "forcing" you to deal with issues you have been hiding from yourself. Even your karmic past. No, the first time was never blissful. My analogy would be like being burn by fire the first time. How did it happen? Spontaneous or induced by other means? How did it travel? From your lower spine and working towards your head?
