I think Bill Bodri has an article on it. Beware, somewhat dense. It is very rewarding once you know how to connect the dots. http://www.meditationexpert.com/meditation-techniques/m_how_to_open_your_sushumna_central_channel_using_tantra.html

Hiding from what? I have no personal experiences in them. I have never witnessed in any of these transformations. I dream of plenty of my animal spirits (my deceased dog, two headed green snake, bears, eagle and eagle totem pole, and birds). You can say that I almost feel like I can speak to birds. Oh, cats. I once encountered a cat transformed into a heavy set woman and she gave me a hug. I think I knew who she was (a deceased person I came to know indirectly). This was a dream or vision, fyi. I am not taking these visions literally like some of the posters here. I understand them as consciousness energy and wisdom. Like I said, show me a youtube clip. Ironically, youtube has plenty of these new age video clips from UFOs to Enlightenment. Yet, I haven't been able to find a clip about this transformation. Odd.
-
Heheheh...oh, I would love to see that. Make me a believer.... A youtube clip would do. I wonder how can anyone pull this off without CG.

That's like I have to be open mind about Santa Claus.....

They just assume the consciousness of their animal spirits. They didn't turn into animals with furs and legs and wings. Their bodies didn't materialize into another physical forms.
-
What are you talking about? If someone is making a claim that you can become an eagle because you can transform your arms into wings, I or anyone would need to know if this person is under any influence of drug usages. Because that's not possible. Here, we are talking about the Native American belief and ritual practices. Drug usages are common. That's nothing wrong with it as long people know that the experience is a "metaphor." When clueless people making a scientific claim that you can literally transform your physical body into whatever you wish, I would certainly need to know if they are on drugs or not. The worst part is that these clueless, out of touch individuals are trying to defend their beliefs in the name of some spiritual reality. Please, they need to get a hold of themselves. They need to be brought down to this earth.

Hmmm....did you see this yourself or just hearing stories from second sources? Were they on any drugs when this happened?

Meditation result (degree of mental clarity) during the cycle of day and night?
ChiForce posted a topic in General Discussion
One thing I am slowly beginning to understand is that there seems to be a repetitive cycle of one's mental clarity during meditation between day and night. At my night meditation, after spending the whole day going about and with various thoughts and emotions, I would rarely experience the microcosmic orbit. Like last night, I was practicing the skeleton meditation as always. During the peak moment, I felt the chi circulating (warm heat sensation) in my body BUT my third eye didn't see lights. Yet, my awareness was heightened to the point that I felt my eyes were open and looking into the darkness of my room. However, in fact, my eyes were close and I was literally looking at the darkness like a piece of painting. It wasn't pitch black but sort of foggy in a way. According to Bill Bodri blog, my center channel has been open and I was actually looking into the end of the skandha of forms. After the peak moment, I decided to end my meditation which was over an hour. I went to bed. Now, almost every night, I would wake up around 4 am. Last night was no exception. Usually, the most insightful, the most depth, the most wisdom dreams/visions happen around this time. Some of the visions I saw would just blow my mind away. Things that would make you to ask "impossible." Or is it? Usually, I would have problems getting back to sleep either because I am trying to sort out the meanings in my bed or the third eye is seeing the chi light circulating. After a while, I would fall back to sleep again and to wake up in about 2 hours later. During this time, my mind would continue to have dreams and visions relating to what I saw in my 4am visions and dreams. Sometimes, they are completely different. So, now, like 7 or 8 am. I am fully up and decided to meditate. Here is the strange part. During the morning meditation, completing the microcosmic orbit is almost effortless. The chi light radiates brightly and brilliantly. Usually, after several minutes, the chi light would stop moving and become like a big blue/white pearl suspended in my third eye. Chakra sounds are vibrating strongly as well. The whole experience would last about 30 minutes. This is my theory. Whatever I saw in my 4am dreams or visions, somehow, allows me to exhaust the skandha of forms. As a result, my morning meditation becomes very productive. However, during the whole day with various "negative" thoughts and emotions or just mind wandering and worrying, my mind is preoccupied again by forms. As a result, it takes a lot of the effort to complete the microcosmic orbit and to see the chi light with the third eye. -
Meditation result (degree of mental clarity) during the cycle of day and night?
ChiForce replied to ChiForce's topic in General Discussion
Hopefully, someone with a great degree of cultivation and meditation knowledge can enlighten us here. For me, I am more concern about the real meaning behind my 4am dreams and visions. They, somehow, clear my mind. We all know that we shouldn't dwell in dream forms. -
This is interesting and also, did the Sages ever advocated the use of drugs to enter into some alter mental states????

Astral projection troubles/blues
ChiForce replied to Lindelani Mnisi's topic in Esoteric and Occult Discussion
Well, again, I am speaking from what I understand from reading the Buddhist text. These special abilities of theirs are the result of the merits they gained from their past lives. Practice in this case is only allowing them to "remember" what they could do. -

Here is a little Zen riddle.... If everyone believes and practices that all paths, their own paths, can lead to enlightenment, does it mean that they are all actually following the same path to enlightenment???? How odd is that they assume their path is different but in essence, they are all following the same path. -

Seriously, whatever insights and wisdom and super powers you get from any spiritual awakening should not be dependent on the age spirit of the time. It does not depend on what is the spiritual/cultural "trends" of the age period!!!!! This would be called dependent origination...? Not this "all paths lead to enlightenment" argument. If so, given that most people are following their own thing, we should expect to see countless of enlightened masters. Unfortunately, the answer is no. In fact, having super powers are the side effects of reaching certain state of samadhi. Buddha specifically warns us not to dwell on them. -
Wait a minute, I thought those are their animal spirits they are dressing as. Is possible you can see the world around you inside the animals. I don't think you can literally transforming your physical form into something else. That's too sci fi.

Is your Buddhism just an ego trip?
ChiForce replied to Harmonious Emptiness's topic in Buddhist Discussion
No because my path is all natural occurrences. No teachers. No guides. Very few books. Not even belonging to any lineage. I experienced the Kundalini energy rising at 18, checked. Can complete the microcosmic orbit in every morning within 25 minutes, checked. Has somewhat exhausted partially the 5 skandhas and maybe even have entered into the second state of samadhi (chi energy can stop moving). No way to verify except by another Master. And no drug usages, checked. Can hear my chakras vibrate at 3 or 4 distinct frequencies, checked. Have certain precognitive super power (not always accurate), checked. Remembered my past life and even how I died, checked. Did I miss this...no drug usages. Checked. I am also feeling a bit directionless at this point and not knowing what or how to use my cultivation to move my life "forward." Even if you have reached certain degree of enlightenment, you are still bounded by this world one way or the other. Or you can become an Arhat and overseeing a monastery. Now, the ego. This can be easily explained. Just see the ego as a social construct created by the world you are living in in order to create a stratification of a society based on either money, wealth, race, culture, ethnicity, and so for. This could be as simple as having the latest Iphone because that would make you the coolest person...to believing in racism. These are all part of the 5 skandhas. There is an ego but quite often they are collectively created to empower one particular group over another based on wealth, money, race, culture, and status. -

Get a hold of yourself!!!! Super powers induced by spiritual awakening takes several life times!!! People seek spiritual awakening because they have a noble reason (ie, relieving one's suffering, to pierce through the nature of one's worldly illusions, and to help others). -
Sigh...he didn't become. You don't become enlightened. Enlightenment is about returning to the original source of life. The original mind. The One Mind. The Mind Ground. Each individual has the potential to reach (regressively) enlightenment but only after to have exhausted all 5 skandhas and to experience the 4 states of samadhi. This may require several life times of merits. Merits are the 4 noble truths and 8 fold path one mush follow. They will help one to travel the danger of karmic influence from your past and present. Choice and will? They are just getting in the way to the cultivation path. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Merit_%28Buddhism%29 Why are you summoning the name of the great Buddha to justify your own interpretation of what is enlightenment???

Listen up...you need to put down the weeds and stepping back to read what you are writing here. I am telling you that you can accumulate merits by asking the existential questions of life and to examine the nature of your own suffering. Doing good and moral deeds. Have compassions for sentient beings. The door to higher spiritual learning will be open to you, after certain years. Yes, years. Now, your confused mind is telling me that you don't have to do all that. What? In fact, you are going to do whatever you want because you can reach enlightenment however you like with any means. Really? Let's just say I don't think so. There are ways you can verify it but I would rather leave it at that.

This is what you wrote....I need not to assume.

Another nonsense. Dogma? To earn merits in your cultivation path in order to open doors to higher spiritual learning is called dogma? What if these merits including doing moral deeds. Not to kill or harm people. To show compassions. These are dogmas? Hahahaha...... You are right, they are dogmas if your intention is to cultivate an evil path with aimless goals. These are dogmas.

You should apply your reply to yourself. Do I have to hand hold you and making you to see that you ARE advocating the use of drugs? Re read this thread, buddy. When pushed to explain what benefits it has, you went silent. When ask why you think the use of drugs should be considered, you went silent. You called accumulating merits to open doors to higher spiritual learning is naive. And I have to re phase your thoughts as "unrealizable." Why is it unrealizable if your Kundalini energy rising wasn't the result of drug usages? Mine wasn't. I guess your spiritual awakening wasn't accomplished through merits. Through drugs? You should make up your mind. Why backtracking now?

My dear, my wisdom and insight are all derived from the original source. The original mind. None of these new age stuff. I am currently reading the Diamond Sutra by Master Nan. I wish you will get nice deal the next time you negotiate with the gods. Do you take drugs.... I have this feeling you do. I guess our little discourse would end here.

Lucid dreaming or vision or astral projection...whatever you call it. In fact, my precognition ability came from my dream visions. No, I don't do drugs and losing my consciousness in my waking state. Do you take drugs? If so, our conversations would end immediately.

Is Kali we are talking about here....She is the creator of this universe. She represents time, the void, and darkness, the blackest of the black. The origin of life. The creator of all gods. In the Hindu ancient time, her worshipers would make human sacrifices to appease her. Many believe that her worshipers lack the wisdom to understand what she is actually representing and taking her too literally.
