  1. Do you believe in telepathy?

Yes, some of the time. The drugs allowed a more clear, more verbal exchange, whereas when sober, it was more visual (visual mind object).
  2. Fluoride

Dont take as many showers, buy a shower filter. Brush teeth with baking soda and coconut oil. spring water or reverse osmosis + mineral supplemntation. Drink only 'good' water, dont drink store-bought drinks. Cant think of anything else at the moment....
  3. Do you believe in telepathy?

I've experienced it before, several times. One time was for something like 10 minutes straight with an ex girlfriend. Quite amazing in some ways. I think that there is a sort of "messenger service" involved.
  4. Thangkas

I am creating a blog which has a primary purpose of displaying various thangkas and related imagery. If you have any cool links or related art you could send my way, please post. Thanks! http://www.padmapanime.tumblr.com/
  5. Thangkas

I will look more thoroughly. I did find a great number of nice ones on P Interest. Got my Thangka fix for a little bit.
  6. Thangkas

I hear you. I never really researched it and it seems that one's condition should improve from bigu, and one shouldnt feel hungry.... this following quote is from this website:http://www.healingtaousa.com/bigu.html What is Bigu? The term bigu denotes an advanced qigong state during which the practitioner is able to maintain his or her normal activities without eating or drinking (and sometimes sleeping) for long periods, in some cases for several months and years at a time. A characteristic of the bigu state is that one's overall condition improves rather than weakens, contrary to ordinary techniques of prolonged fasting. In addition , bigu encompasses other elements which exceed or transcend the beneficial effects of therapeutic fasting. These extraordinary aspects of the bigu state have been occasionally observed by medical and scientific practitioners; for example, archeological evidence includes an oracle -bone scripture found in a 1000 year old tomb in Hunan, China, which contains a detailed written account with pictures denoting the bigu phenomenon. Yan Xin stresses that bigu should be seen as a "signpost" or an adjunct to one's practice, but not as an ultimate goal. He once said "The bigu state should not be advocated or overemphasized." The potential of qi gong far surpasses these phenomena. (3) My first real exposure to the bigu concept was while studying with Dr. Yan Xin and his organization. In some of his books (see footnotes), bigu is mentioned and scientific studies done in China are cited. In one of his speeches he talks about a Chinese woman in bigu, living in the US that gave birth to a healthy baby subsisting on just water. What I am doing would be called "non-standard bigu" i.e. drinking liquids and occasionally eating small amounts of fruit or vegetables as opposed to "standard bigu" which involves no eating or drinking, except for water. It's hard for me to know for sure what is happening physiologically. It feels as though most of my nourishment is being absorbed directly from the surrounding chi through the breath with more intense absorption taking place during practice. Scientific research studies in China have shown that practicing qigong can improve absorption of nutrients from food. I believe that the small amount of food and liquids I am ingesting is being utilized to the maximum. I have no doubt that the mystery of bigu is something that will eventually be understood through scientific research and monitoring. THE GOLDEN RULE OF BIGUThis is a good place to emphasize some things I've learned from my friends at Yan Xin Qigong. Bigu is an effect or gift of advanced and/or prolonged qi gong practice. IF YOU'RE HUNGRY YOU'RE NOT IN BIGU. As we all know, if you're not in bigu, going without food can be hazardous to your health. If you want to become breatharian I believe that it's essential to develop a very close rapport with your body and be able to distinguish between physical hunger and mental cravings. Eating disorders are rampant in our culture. Be careful. If you're hungry, eat, in a healthy and balanced way. Keep practicing. Do good deeds. This will bring you closer. My understanding of bigu is that it is not "not eating". It is practicing to a level where all your meridians merge and you and feel the chi continuously buoying you up. Your hunger dissapears. You feel full, bright and mildly ecstatic. -------------- Sounds very interesting. Wish I had a master to train with.
  8. Do you have a blog or a website?

I'm working on mine...mostly art right now: http://www.padmapanime.tumblr.com/
  9. I'll give it a review. I am a great critic and also have some editing skills. PM a link or I can give you my email.
  10. .

I have not practiced bigu ever, but I have some input. I have read in scientific literature about an extremely obese man (over 450 lbs) who ate no food for over a year, just taking certain supplements, who weighed a little under 200 lbs at the end of it...so bigu isn't so impressive to me, however its still interesting. http://thoughtcatalog.com/dr-chet-williams/2014/06/this-450-pound-man-fasted-for-over-a-year-and-he-lost-more-than-half-his-weight/ Yeah if you learn to slow your metabolism down, you could probably learn to do it for a few months at a time. Reports of being able to survive on chi in the air and environment alone sound amazing and interesting. I am skeptical, but hopeful that this is possible. It would seem that being in a parasympathetic state vs. sympathetic would be one requirement for bigu. Breath control seems like it could be a key element of the practice. Slowing down the rate at which the body uses glucose seems like it would be important. The brain uses a significant share of glucose, so stopping excessive use of the brain also seems like a key requirement - this means stopping thinking and creating mental constructs. This is just my assumption. If stopping thinking is important, this would be the hardest part. I would focus on breath regulation and meditation leading to cessation of mind fabrications as per any appropriate tradition.
  11. Sounds like there is a lot of co-dependence between you guys. You are all enabling eachother to stagnate in life in some way. Pragmatism might be best at this time. Why should you worry though? Your father has a job, it's not like they wont have money to find a place. You could always start with small excursions on your bicycle, lasting a few days, coming back every once and a while to check up on them and help out. You have given enough by now, and also become dependent on them as they have been dependent on you. It is good to help family whenever they really need it though. You will not be abandoning them if you move out. Do you have the free phone (Obama phone from Safelink)? You have food stamps? The question now is what are you going to do with your life? Wander around couch surfing? Go to college? Get a job? Go live in a commune? Money is definitely a plus in these times. You can also dumpster dive in affluent neighborhoods. I find nice clothes, tools, books, things I can sell on ebay/amazon/etc. all the time. You can usually make a hundred bucks a week or more doing that in the warm seasons. I think the main thing is how are you going to support yourself? You say that you are overweight, so going on a calorie restricted diet will be good for you. You can get foodstamps, so food won't be an issue. Hopefully you will get a nice bike soon, maybe one with a rear rack and saddle-bags to carry lots of stuff. And get a good U-lock with a steel cable to run through your tires and through the U-lock. Honestly, you should spend at least $600 for a quality new bike. Make sure you get one sized right for you. Living outdoors in the summer months should be easy and fun. It doesn't rain much at all in the NW where you are in the months of July-September. If you have a water proof, warm sleeping bag, you can handle just about any weather. If you have friends who will at least let you stop by and take a shower that would be great, maybe even let you do some wash. If not, get a gym membership at the cheapest gym you can find (maybe Planet Fitness) and use their facilities. If I were you I would be focusing on physical health as a primary concern. You can get medicaid for free, and you should use all their services for any issues you have. You mention lack of motivation and low energy levels. You could consider getting on anti-depressants as a short-term fix, but long term these things are best served by a combination of healthy living and having a purpose and creating a habit energy of progressive and continual improvement in all areas of life.
  12. a man asked Jesus about eternal life

I would imagine that he meant an eternal life in heaven for that particular questioner, in contrast to the already existent eternal life of the soul/s.
  13. Daoist Silence

When the unity consciousness occurred, did you still find yourself thinking extraneous thoughts?
  14. [To the masses, nonexistent] You, men and women and anything in between, have been brain washed into thinking that people in relationships are meant to have sex frequently and often to orgasmic culmination for the purposes of creating a weak willed and easily controlled population. The reason that this method is so successful is that when people constantly and consistently spend their jing, they lose their potency and become easily manipulated, because the science behind it is thus: Upon orgasming, the testosterone receptors in the brain are downregulated, causing a reduction in Eros, confidence, creativity, sensuality and basically willpower. Weak willed people become Sheeple. Encouraged to engage in sex from a young age, through memes generated from a hateful few individuals who wish to create a herd mentality, most of the world's peoples are brainwashed to become sexual hedonists from a young age. Most Disney movies have hidden sexual content in them. Go google it and see. By encouraging a culture of sex, everyone becomes mindless drones. Anyone who has 'sexually fasted' for more than two weeks knows the benefits, regardless of whether you are male or female. You feel more energized, ready to go out and get shit done. Nature doesn't encourage frivolous use of sexual energies....cultural memes and scripts have been created by hidden few that say it is manly to have sex often.... If you know how to have non-orgasmic, non-ejaculatory sex, good for you. Most people do not have the skill/control/discipline to withhold. They haven't built the habit energy. there is more coming, but I am being interfered with unfortanately
  15. Yeah, supposedly the powers that be are trying to get us to become sex addicted, because this will also make us more sheepalized. And then the hormone like substances such as BPA, atrazine, and stuff in milk, etc. are supposed to mess with our male/female balance and again make us more submissive.
  16. What if your heart is wrong?

Western psychology would say that emotions occur generally in the gut region, and they are physiological events, before perception, which are then sensed as feelings in or around the heart area, and the feelings are then interpreted by the mind, and the choice to act is a confluence of these three things...it seems to agree with the triple burner thingamabob...
  17. What if your heart is wrong?

I thought Tao was listening to the combined minds of gut, heart, and head in perfect harmony with no blockages, imbalances, etc..
  18. What exactly is "Inner Nature"?

It was more than that...Keep the mind on the breath and the breath on the mind. Other things I need to go over...haven't finished it yet
  19. What exactly is "Inner Nature"?

That's the version I have (Thomas Cleary)...I usually get his translations if I'm buying a book
  20. Breaking apart tribal societies, where large groups of related individuals took care of their own, spreading them out and making them dependent on the system, is one goal. But I also think that instigating oversexed individuals makes them weaker and less focused on other things, especially regime change...
  21. What exactly is "Inner Nature"?

Is this similar to looking backwards in the reversing the light practice, where you follow the light pathways back to where the visual pathways merge, and then into the thalamus region, and then down the functional channel to the heart area? The reason I questioned whether we are just an emanation at heart is that an emanation suggests an emanator....
  22. If I was intending to have kids, I would praise it more. Dont get me wrong, I like sex, but it can cloud so many issues. In any event, I dont feel like I did when I wrote the OP...I was 'in a mood.'
  23. The Golden Rule and Taoism...

I don't know. Is that lion hunting a wildabeast aligned with Tao? Is it operating by the Golden Rule? I thought Tao was Nature, at least in some aspects....does Nature operate by any such rules?
