Strong core muscles help back pain, and reduce the chance of injuries
BaguaKicksAss replied to BaguaKicksAss's topic in General Discussion
Why does it go back out? Well usually it involves class, and sparring, and wrenching something out of place and a pinched nerve, and such.... lolol. Fortunately I haven't had the go back out of place problem... must be the Bagua I figure . -
You thought you couldn't but you did...

I finished some half marathons . And every single month when I make rent/food/bills from working for myself!! -
Er nm, this thread is derailed and pushing it enough as it is . As long as they erect a statue of Dong Hai Chuan here in my city all is good.

You have a point. It was actually uplifting when my friend told me about the guy who has the stroke and his girlfriend who *didn't* just ditch him .

Everyone who comes to visit me, wants to relocate! Though it might have just be the spring rolls with Aksijaha. Or the book exchange little boxes on a pole throughout the neighborhood perhaps... Since I work for myself, I can live anywhere in the world, but choose here. However I might make a move to a more remote area (but near here) at some point.

Since we are talking about love, and the idea of caring for terminally disabled or dying people we love is kinda of depressing... Here's the question many ponder. Anyone ever seen that movie What Dreams Will Come? PS, the painting scenes in that movie were awesome!

What has been your most humbling experience?
BaguaKicksAss replied to BaguaKicksAss's topic in General Discussion
If it is something we are at peace with from our past, and it comes up, no big deal, we can mention it, then go back along with what we were doing. If it is however something we have not yet come to peace with, then it comes up, and lets us work on and through it, until we have resolved it. Either way, it is more of a reminder that we are often humbled by many different things in life . -
I fell for the prettyness of the area you live in before, but you can't fool me now, I've seen your posts in the cold weather thread .

Next TTBs meetup YOUR town!? lol

Oh, I forgot to go on about the awesomeness of Vancouver! Well there are the Pho restaurants on every block (nearly), and the sushi restaurants on every block. Well and we are sort of famous for the best restaurants in the world. I have traveled quite a bit and would have to agree (accept Albania and Morocco, they blow us away by far) What more do you need? We also have some pretty amazing cultural and ethnic diversity, more than I have seen in any other city actually. We have community centers every square 10 blocks or so... which have... well for example over 200 various martial arts classes this term! They also have classes in the various arts, fitness, dance, pottery, languages, computers, and etc. (low income folks get half price everything at these too) Oh speaking of martial arts, this is both good and bad, but we have a LOT of martial arts teaches and schools here. I compiled a list once of TWENTY Bagua teachers in our city! (OK so the fact I wouldn't train with 17 of them shouldn't matter right? ) The forested hiking trails are also truly awesome, and a not too long of a bus ride from the city center. Oh hell we even have some right in the city, Stanley Park, but I prefer mountains myself. The town is also very exercise and fitness crazed, so we have many resources for this, and it is social acceptable to go jogging in the snow at 3am if one so chooses! Lots of good music from here and comes here as well. We just pretend that Bryan Adams was really american. We also have a rather large gay community, and it is well accepted, generally with an open mind. The arts are so well thought of here, they receive a LOT of city funding for events year round. And we have many, many, many bike lanes and routes. Fortunately our mayor is an avid cyclist. Oh and he got a pretty awesome recycling and composting program in here too.

When my mother was dying I offered her to become roomates (I was in college at the time and definitely couldn't afford the entire bill, and she was on disability benefits at the time). The first 6 months she was doing pretty well and things were fine. But the last 6 months... it was more than difficult for me. I was really having a difficult time being extremely emotionally distraught watching her suffer and die slowly (I was only 27 at the time, a bit young to have a mother die). I wasn't doing very well with the whole caregiving thing, or at least not as well as I should have. Fortunately we had various caregivers come in, as well as a long-term friend of hers spend nights there quite often. Changing her diapers was a bit more than I could take really. Basically she wanted to die at home, so the hospital would pick her up anytime she was in so serious of condition that she needed the IV and such, then bring her back as soon as she stabilized. She was much happier with this arrangement then spending the entire time in palliative care. The good news is that she did actually get to die at home, and fortunately was not in the hospital on that day. Having my instructor at college come find me and say I had a phone call was a bit rough (but wow, he even drove me home to see her one last time!) While it was a bit more than I could handle at the time, I'm glad that she got to spend the last 6 months of her life how she wanted (and would even still do it had I known all this ahead of time).

Thunder_Gooch, if you have any suggestions on how to work out a few of the following things for the better, please do add them. 1. The whole Mo Pai thing. 2. Stuff like Deci Belle kicking people out of her threads (but at present no one owns a thread) / people posting completely irrelevant off topic crap in Deci Belle's well written and thought out threads? (I'm using her as an example as it comes up lots) 3. People teaming up and trolling Vitali for fun and entertainment... daily... every single damn time he posts... (the same 3 people).

Oh alright, I'll move it on over .

Public. PPFs should always stay in the awesomeness they are already in! PS would you like some wonderful sub forums and sub forums of your sub forums for your PPF? See mine for a nice example of how awesome a PPF can be (this is to all members, not just Thunder_Gooch)
-
Or perhaps one thread per member... indefinitely...?
-
Limit to one new one per member per week maybe? (or let stewards move posts).
-
ROFL you are trying to talk everyone out of this idea aren't you? ROFL
-
*cough* stewards can't move posts *cough*
-
Thunder_Gooch is seriously bouncing off his seat in anticipation of this one .

My friend is fortunately the one who is doing the caretaking, not the one with the stroke. The person with the stroke has been like this for quite a few years already .

Btw, your posts would have been hidden, as we don't ever delete posts, but looks the same to you guys. We have a record of everything though .
