Here are my women rants . Please keep it respectful when replying though folks, some women do actually read this forum. Now this is obviously nowhere near all women, and not the ones I know personally... but I have heard about them lots, and even met some. 1. Playing hard to get. Wtf? Obviously usually we want to get to know someone first, but purposefully trying to ignore someone you are interested in? 2. Going for money. Again, wtf? I know a couple of folks who married for money, it didn't last. Also in my own experience, guys with more money don't necessarily spend it on their significant other any more than your guy with less money lol. Hey as long as they don't brag about their brand new car all day long, or expect me to pay rent for both of us, income is pretty much irrelevant to me. But also, many ladies have had guys live off of them, so now expect a high income level. 3. Padded bras. Why can I not find a bra without padding at the store? lol 4. Wants a guy to "save or rescue" them. Yeah good luck with that. Also guys watch out for those ones. 5. Wants to get married and have kids next week! I've never known any like this, but I do hear they exist. Well OK next month, but you get the idea. 6. Plays one guy against the other. Seriously, grow up. 7. Has a thing for married guys... at least find ones in an open relationship. 8. Plays stupid, c'mon don't make the rest of us look bad. 9. Flirting just to get free drinks or whatever, but not actually interested (I've had women offer to teach me this skill). 10. Acts like a jerk towards guys because we hear that they like the stuck up self centered ones. I mean as in purposefully doing this. 11. Purposefully doesn't take her birth control. Now this, I find abohorable, and yes it does happen. 12. Be downright cruel to men who are respectful when flirting. (on the otherhand if a guy walks up to me and he sounds like a bad porn movie, I'm going to say something rude in return so he'll go away). Laughing at a guy for flirting with them also falls under this category and unfortunately I have seen it happen.

I was practicing Bagua at a bus stop one day while waiting for a bus. This guy comes up to me and asks if I was practicing dancing *dies*. Uhm no, martial arts. Well to make a long story short, he was definitely for sure going to have to learn that sort of martial arts and come out to a class! Dancing *grumbles*... More funny dating talk... I had this friend.. this was about 20 years ago he tried this... he was convinced that if he walked up to 100 women per day and asked them if they would like to go home with him, at least 1 would go for it. Yes he did get slapped a few times lolololol.

I sent that first link to a friend of mine lol, this is how he feels. I think it goes both ways though, I have heard too many times to count that men don't like intelligent women (seriously). Along with this... I've noticed that when I'm just out doing stuff I really enjoy (hiking, working out, whatever) more people talk to me. And vice versa. The more active the better it seems. Maybe I just look good with my hair a mess, ugly workout pants and looking like I'm about to have a cardiac arrest...

The exception I took to Mike's post was the whole most women aren't intelligent enough to read books... it sort of made me wonder where on earth is he trying to meet women?! (obviously not the law library at the local university lol) I'm more up front than most women (oh beleive me, I could do a three page post with my rants about women and how some of us relate to men lol), I've flirted with a few guys, if I really like someone. I'd say I have had about a 25% success rate with this throughout my life. But then I've had male friends tell me that it is a really big turnoff for men to have the woman flirt with them first . A year or so ago there was someone I was hoping to date, so we were doing the whole get to know each other thing by hanging out a bit. He had this odd habit of insulting me, it was really really strange. Over odd stuff too, such as not laughing at their TV show jokes of shows I had not seen. Similar stuff to that, nothing that would even fall under constructive criticism really. At least he apologized for the 2nd time. I didn't phone him back after that, which is sort of amazing considering he was giving me personal rehab training for trade) Then took me out for dinner the next time, then did it again on the way home... I didn't contact him for about 6 months... then thought well he's a friend what the hell.. so the 4th time, well I haven't spoken to him since. So either it puts me off personally, or he wasn't going about it in the right way . Perfect body and attractive wasn't enough to overcome that. Though I really don't think he did it purposefully. Aside from that, the mean I've dated have always been really nice, at least for the first few months... lol. I think both men and women, are odd, and get even more odd when trying to date one another. And guys, I fully understand the not wanting to be turned down thing, I have turned a couple of women down who flirted with me, and they just tore into me with the insults!! One started screaming at me!!! Complete stranger.... OK so, back to my conclusion, some women seem to like men to treat them badly for some odd reason, but they also are either the ones with low intelligence (yes I know I'm stretching here, using a couple of posts as an example lol), or just wired that way, likely due to past abuse or low self esteem, and some other women prefer guys to actually be really nice to them, and most women (my own conclusion) prefer just a standard person who isn't perfect, has some faults, but does try to better themselves, and in general treats people with respect . PS the entire thread could likely reverse every single time "man" and "woman" were used, and it would be very similar... accept women have different ways of showing dominance towards each other.

Yeah with each new incarnation (after being banned) he PMs people with the same story. 2 different accounts on the same thread to attack another member. Many extreme insults. Getting banned then sneaking back as a different user (the first few times) 6 usernames so far Same IP address match as the person who tried to hack TTBs

I'm curious what the markup on gold is for casting? I mean over and above what the casting grain costs, then also the $$ charged for the time carving the wax and etc.?? I have no idea on this one. Unfortunately I undercharged on my first gold signet ring as I didn't realize it would weigh as much as it did (even after carving as much away from the inside top as I could). So I will only be making $200 after all costs on a $1200 ring . I figure I should probably charge $1500 for such things if the gold costs $950. Btw, most of the ones I make are semi custom, they are a standard design I do, and I just make them to order in the person's size. (I should probably get some wax molds made of each one).

I'm not so sure about the privacy settings on this, can you folks see the photo? 1 sterling silver bracelet with a large star ruby cabochon. A couple of "fun with nitric acid" rings, one copper, one sterling silver. A cast steel ring below, custom order. Yes that is a magical alphabet inside the ring. And another bracelet that I ran through the rolling mill with some lace.. Again a large ruby cabochon.

I'm a highly skilled engraving stuff onto gemstones artisan, well and painting too, but my jewelry, is only so so at this point, so I would likely charge a bit less. However the items I do make no one else does, so that helps. I'm not that good at it.. yet... but I can maybe post a fb photo or 2 here. I was completely self taught until recently. I want to see Silent Thunder's as well! I also now have a complete lost wax casting setup that I'm going to teach myself to use. I took a mini course on it, but they didn't cover the particular equipment (vacuum casting) that I have. I also need to figure out how to run a kiln + vacuum caster at the same time without blowing a breaker . Experiment #1 didn't go so well lol. So far I have gotten the steel rings and the gold ring cast at the local place downtown. I also make soldered rings and pendants. Lots of fun!

Actually, I feel like I change into a new person, each and every single day... Er not quite as drastic as Nungali is speaking of perhaps, but some of that medical qigong homework seems just as dramatic (but on a non-physical level) some evenings lol.
