  1. Practice on the stairmaster and/or the local steepest mountain hike her locally before going to the mountains of china, got it .
  2. Notification Management

Sean (the super tech) has been emailed about these various glitches...
  3. Notification Management

To post a pic you click that little icon that looks like a photo, in the bottom row about halfway across .
  4. Notification Management

Er... Interesting. I'll put that one on my to do list as well... I have a theory "this forum software is a little glitchy".
  5. Buddhist corpse ritual?

I would do both (if that were my path, and it was recommended by my Goddess), since personally the evoking/invoking a Goddess for decades is an enjoyable and rewarding part of my practice . HOWEVER... I'm guessing that the above rituals discussed are for ADVANCED practitioners who have likely been evoking said Deity for decades? It doesn't sound all that safe (on many levels) for someone who hasn't put quite a bit of time in already? One reason I say this is the chance of the dead person just possessing the practitioner, especially if they died in the ways described as the ideal type of corpse to get. Then there is also the too much too soon aspect, say you had this option in your first year of practice, for example... Other stuff too.
  6. I think that we can take the word "newager" and replace it with any group of people who's energy we are naturally repelled by. We each have our own biases, different path energies don't always mesh, and so forth. I've actually personally found that I am often drawn to or repelled by people based on which Deities or spirits they work with, since that energy is around them. Btw, that shrink and condense your energy field thing is easy enough, not good to do it too often though or you can cause yourself problems. I mean the practice in general, I have no idea how SM does it.
  7. The folks who just receive a few day (or week) suspension, then settle out after that aren't as obvious I think is all it is. The ones who come back with the same posting style, we are reminded of and they are more obvious. I've been really impressed more than once at the change in approach by some folks
  8. Sure newagers annoy me, however I have met a few who take their practice seriously (as in a few hours per day everyday) and can actually do some stuff, and those folks I respect. I know, I know, I should respect them all as they are fellow beings... not there yet lol. Now funny is when a fluffy peace loving, heal the world newager comes up to me, takes the Daemon necklace (as in strong presence of said entity) I wear in their hands and goes on and on about how spiritual and good it feels . Had this happen more than once. I just don't have the heart to tell them...
  9. Buddhist corpse ritual?

Do you think such things are less difficult for the Eastern mind/psyche than the Western one? (most Westerners, likely including myself, might run screaming as we all have a fear of death over here).
  10. nei kung - longmen pai

Any levels which are short or easy just don't give the same benefit though. I would say find a teacher local to you if you can .
  11. It is funny, my entire life half the world seems very much repelled by me, and the other half VERY drawn to me (for some reason they can't figure out). I mean even before I have spoken a word. Has to be an energy thing I figure. I think some of us just have different or strong energy. Well also if you actually *do* practice a decent amount, people can feel it.
  12. I *think* what MPG is getting at is that different people's energies affect one another. He's naturally repelled by newage energy, and at a guess it would be mutual. I've noticed that the various qigong and martial arts exercises that one does daily REALLY helps to keep others' energies out of one's energy body :) .

***Tech team here*** If any member ever receives suspicious PMs and/or someone offering you a book/teachings for money, please hit the report button on the PM (do not delete it) and/or contact a staff member immediately. In the past, we have had a handful of members who were offered teachings and/or a neigong book, paid for said book or teachings and did not receive anything. ***Tech out***
  14. Getting Up at Sunrise

When I see the sun come up, it reminds me it is time to get to bed . My favorite time to practice is in the middle of the night when most of the city is asleep. Though during some seasons I get up at sunrise every morning. I like to sleep in 4 hour chunks, then some practice, then some TTBs, then some more sleep...
  15. I'm kinda feeling really left out here Dorian, you have always treated me with the most respect, onboard and off, as well as always been really nice to me.... .
  16. Or take the ULTIMATE test and become a steward or mod! <grin>
  17. I just had that training about half an hour ago, for an hour (over chat).. it was rough, really rough. Though I wouldn't call the person a troll (though TTBs would lol), but wow. I did a continual invocation of the divine light to get through it. They trained me well... I think I need to go watch TV and eat chocolate now or something... I'd be happy to be the troll for anyone who wishes... I've done my time this week on the other end...
  18. All This $earching... For What?

From all I've seen money tends to be completely and entirely irrelevant to happiness. Oh sure we are all happy when we have some... for a time... but it seems to go back to people who are genuinely happy go back to being happy, and people who are genuinely miserable tend to go back to being miserable... no matter how much or little money they have. Also, the happy overpriced yoga goers, are they overall happy in their lives? Or is it more like everyone laughing and saying they love everyone when going to the bar? .
  19. Fuck karma

Uh oh, haven't read those LOL
  20. Fuck karma

Well crap . I find it much better overall when I stop being attached to outcomes or or one option over the other, especially emotionally attached to. I find that I get caught up in some things, and am working on getting past that. Though definitely keeping my desire and passion for Bagua and my spiritual practice .
  21. lololol Now if someone asked me to explain my practice in plain english... that would be *quite* a challenge. I mean in a way someone could make use of it and so forth.
  22. Fuck karma

I'd say I'm more trying to borrow and understand some basic concepts . All paths have similarities, and a lot of buddhists have that no mind, no desire, neutral to all things, stuff down really well! Hmmm, Taoists too, perhaps a similar thread over in that section. Taoists tend to be really really long-winded though lol.
  23. You guys cheated, I see some long words not in english .
  24. I have been having trouble with thoughts, desires, intentions leaking out lately so think I'm going to take some of the advice above to help with that. Not that I haven't had an entire lifetime of such things happening, it's just lately that I am more aware of them rippling out and creating stuff . Before it was only on an intellectual level. I would also like to be more neutral about all things.
